I'm lying on my bed ,6.30 and am fighting to stay awake!! But today I did the skywalk maze (huge suspended net mesh maze as part of the big tree top walk) .and never again, the dgcs whipped around it while I basically crawled. Plus mega slides other mazes and treea nd water walks, all manner of assualt course type play equipment etc etc. I'm 61ffs! Am Back to work tomorrow for a rest.. Smile
But we had a great time.

Laska2Meryls · 27/05/2019 18:40

I have pretty much stuck to my diet but tonight I am having a glass or two of Wine

SoyYo · 27/05/2019 18:43

@never the next chinos look great! Also love how you’ve styled them (is that the Hush linen top?, looks good with all blues).
Just back from a lovely lunch and afternoon tea in an amazing tea house in Ely (was good and ignored cake/scones) with friends. I wore the green stripe wide trousers (which I shortened by washing so now they’re perfect length) with stripy hush linen top that has a green stripe matching it, trainers and light leather jacket. Felt comfortable and casually cool.
We had a lovely walk by the river/cathedral and ducked the rain showers. All the roses, foxgloves are out! Lovely BH time with old friends Smile

@cherries you must be shattered with the toing/froing...hope you can relax a little now.

@soups Hope had a nice time! Always up for a museum visit me!

Laska2Meryls · 27/05/2019 18:49

soy a few days on, but those pink chinos you posted are they the ones on Hush right now ?

SoyYo · 27/05/2019 20:44

@laska the ones I posted look exactly the same style and were called girlfriend chinos in the BA Hush sale, mine are last season as the light stone colour is not online now and they don’t have a stripe like this seasons but it’s a lovely slouchy fit (not too wide) and the fabric on the ones I got is fab and super light. I got the 12 (got last one in stock) and they are generous as I need a belt or they’d be too big round the waist (and I don’t have a tiny waist/carry weight in my middle) but I like they manage to be slouchy without being too voluminous.

Ellapaella · 27/05/2019 23:18

Evening lovely Hushistas - hope you are all having a lovely bank holiday. Fortunately no back to work for me tomorrow - I'm off until Friday
I've had a lovely weekend visiting friends and family 'back home' in the Cotswolds. It's been lovely and the dc have had a fab time catching up with all my friends kids and getting spoiled by my parents.
Spotted Amanda Holden in the local village pub on Sunday. She was having a meal with her family. Very glamorous and absolutely stunning but she was rather overdressed for Sunday lunch in an old village pub
So far my no spend June has not gone well - I've ordered the TopShop dress, some pale denim Gap girlfriend jeans and a cashmere grey hoodie in the whistles sale. I don't think I'll be keeping it all as I really need to have a restrained month.
@SoyYo sounds like you had another perfect weekend.
@Laska2Meryls sounds like you had a lovely but rather exhausting one!
@ilovecherries such a lot of travel. Hope you can have a few nice days chilling and catching up on rest now.

Back to work for a rest !! Hush all over, Wearing Chamonix ,serin jumper and trusty Chester's , hoping my Jigsaw stuff will be here today, if the cardi is good I may return for the extra discount (cos I don't like to miss a bargain!)

ilovecherries · 28/05/2019 09:40

Just swapped driving at Gretna services. Very stylish woman dressed in hush in Starbucks. If you are here you looked great!

SoyYo · 28/05/2019 12:20

Rainy day in East Anglia. Our painting men have hung up their brushes for the day.
Working all week from home, it’s really been heavenly not having much travel this month, making the most of it though I do have a lot on it’s easier to manage and less manic.

So my hundred (million! Grin) parcel arrived to cheer me up. Adore the scarfs I bought in the sale for £8 each, and the moorish kimono in burgundy is lovely and much more “me” than the short botanical one I returned so pretty pleased with my little haul today Smile

Have a lovely day and look fw to your fashion news. I’ll post pics of my haul in a mo

SoyYo · 28/05/2019 12:28

Kimono first love it, not too long even on my 5’3” frame, on sale so actually £8 cheaper than the short one I returned. Win Win and totally keeping (forgive lack of styling it’s just what I’m wearing homeworking today underneath)

SoyYo · 28/05/2019 12:33

Next scarves, perfect summery companions and @not was right can easily double as beach pareos or shawls but still thin enough to wrap round neck without bulky ness.

The blue one has a fab pattern and embroidery, it’s a slightly heavier cotton than the green one which is silky same as kimono fabric.
Green will go with wren and kakhi tops, blue perfect with denim.

Hope the happy prints brighten up a dull rainy day

Lovely, haul soy, kimono looks perfect on you.

My chambray chinos arrived but are going straight back. They are oddly tight but baggy at the same time, and really honestly aren’t £75 worth. Plus the waistband is on slightly squint so it’s puckering a little. If I’d bought them in primark I wouldn’t care, but at that price they need to be perfect. Also sending the Santana side stripe skirt back, it has a smear of lipstick on the stripe and I don’t love it enough to wait for an exchange. I’m generally feeling a bit bleurgh today. Don’t know if it’s just all the travelling but I’m a bit bloated, look exhausted, and I’m having a bit of an IBS flare which rarely happens on low carb.

SoyYo · 28/05/2019 13:28

Thank You cherries!

Shame about your haul fail but yes best to return if you don’t love. Honestly we have so many clothes it’s just not worth it. I’m perfectly happy with the one green Santana from last summer tbh, it’s a lovely light skirt but it still looks good and will only replace when it’s looking tired (maybe next summer?) and when I think I have the leopard maxi, plus the zebra and green snake skirts which are also totally suitable for summer (not to mention ruched skirts) I don’t know if I can justify more in my summer wardrobe (this is not counting all my other older summer skirts, ridiculous really). And my two marinas! (though I tend to wear those more for work rather than off duty).
Trousers get a lot more wear with me and need replacing more often though. Try the girlfriend chinos, they’re really lovely!

I think you’re probably exhausted with all the travel you’ve done lately...which is why your IBS is flaring up (stress?). Honestly this month for me has been blissful without all my usual work travel, it’s made me realise how much energy and well being it sucks out of me.

dontcallmelen · 28/05/2019 13:49

cherries yy all the travelling & being in different houses, must take its toll can you rest up for a few days maybe, also another Yy in sending back stuff that’s not right or don’t love enough.
Soy love the haul, & scarfs are really pretty & great colours😍, yy not realising the effort & toll all that travelling must take out of you.
Funny day here in London, warm but very overcast thunder & heavy showers forecast for later.
I have ordered some blowfish brown strappy sandals & some pink sandals from M&S also waiting on the khaki combat style trousers from River island, still doing my best to just fill in gaps rather than random buying, so am going to try & make sure it does go with what I have, or it’s going back😇
never I got a new boden catalogue today & they have a few new jumpsuits in, might be worth a look if you are still on the hunt.
Laska reckon work will definitely be a rest, after the last few manic days.
Ella weekend sounds lovely, another beautiful part of the country.
Hello everyone else.

twosoups1972 · 28/05/2019 13:53

@Soy LOVE the kimono and scarves. The prints are gorgeous Smile

SoyYo · 28/05/2019 14:36

Thank You @len and @huff, I’m chuffed and the prints make me feel happy Smile
Look Fw to seeing your new very wise purchases @len
@huff did Hush make you a “friend” or not yet?

Huffthepuff · 28/05/2019 15:18

They haven't responded to my email yet Soy! Sent on Friday but will probably take them longer due to bank hol...

Huffthepuff · 28/05/2019 18:00

Just collected and immediately returned the black floral Topshop dress. The fabric was so thin it just didn't hang well. Annoying as I liked the style. It also had huge splits up the side which made it inappropriate for work and would have exposed the shapewear I like to have on under dresses/skirts.

On the plus side my Hush Portobello top/s have finally arrived at home so i look forward to trying them on when I get back. Really hoping for good things

FuzzyPuffling · 28/05/2019 18:38

Just popped in for a wave! I've been admiring all your lovely outfits - you all look fab!

miffy2 · 28/05/2019 18:40

I am fuming.

My order arrived (Monaco trousers in black and blueberry and Beatrice jumper in blueberry)

The Monaco in blueberry? I got a label alright, but it was accompanied by cropped grey harems! (accompanied by, as it was not even attached to them!)

The Beatrice jumper? Has a hole in the shoulder.

My first order this year and they got it so wrong. I called the help line and they took my details so I will hopefully get a call tomorrow. I will insist they pay for me to return them (I am in Ireland and usually use a forwarding service but I am not going to pay for it this time) but I am gutted as the Monaco blue is sold out in 12 now :( :(

miffy2 · 28/05/2019 18:43

Soy I LOVE the scarves and the Kimono. I may well succumb and get the kimono for myself (as per above post I think I will be getting a Hush refund soon!) and was pondering the scarves too. The blue one is gorgeous.

Ellapaella · 28/05/2019 18:55

@SoyYo looking lovely as always. Love that kimono - really super.
@miffy2 that's so bad! I say name and shame on their social media page.. goes to show how little attention actually goes into detail Angry

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 28/05/2019 19:25

Miffy Is this Hush or BA? Shock anyway.
Holy green vest arrived, it's fine just a vest, and I think it looks ok actually with the jolly green Santana. Will post photo later in week, hopefully will have other Jigsaw things by then also.. Family going home tomorrow so I'll have a bit of space to do some trying on ..

Laska2Meryls · 28/05/2019 19:26

Holy vest ???!!!! 🤣ruddy autocorrect again!! Jolly green vest top !!😆😉

ilovecherries · 28/05/2019 19:40

Anyone who has the Monaco trousers. I have a pair from last year that I collected from home and which somehow escaped my ruthless ‘wear before end of return period or back it goes’ strategy. Where on your leg are they meant to end? I’m not unusually tall (5’7, with my length more in my back than my legs), but they sort of hit me mid calf. Is that right? If I shuffle them down to my hips I can almost make just about my ankle bone. I think this is why they were never worn - they confuse me. Feeling like shit (no pun intended). I look 6 months pg and can’t stray too far from loo. Reminds me of what life was like before low carb. Envy.
