Oh no, soups - it looks like such a nice dress and the colour suits you. You look great, but we can be our own worst critics. Can it be rescued with another jacket/ shoes/ jewellery do you think? I agree M&S does have some pretty things at the moment - there were some very nice linen sundresses that I was tempted by, but didn't have time to try on (and I don't need...)
nink - lovely poncho! I like the pompoms...I have a knitted one that has pompoms on the necktie thing, that I got when they were in fashion around a decade ago, and still wear...I love it...so soft, and as near as I can get to wearing a blanket in public. (it was from the first season of M&S Per Una before they got sh1t - which shows how old i am). And well done on the lottery win
Surely that means your Mulberry fund is now at -£31.70?! I like how you snuck in the wedding so neatly there! How exciting! (Do you have a dress/ outfit yet? There's a nice lacy number in hush if you're interested
).
soy - yes, that white dress really needs someone with olive skin and easily tanning to carry it off. It would look stunning with your dark curls i reckon. I think us "english roses" (ahem...) need something cream or a "soft" white for it to work - even in actual wedding dresses with a ton of makeup... I love your BA things - the wide trousers and jumper are such a good match, and the chinos are lovely too. Good that the only thing you want to return is the one from hush themselves - as BA returns are annoying, and not free..
I'll join you all in the booooooooo to Farage (or Farridge as we call him) and Brexit generally. And I'll do another boooooooo on laska's behalf, as she can't but wants to . And yy - everyone needs to vote even though it is difficult at the moment - or those like him will claim it as a huge victory. I think the thing with the list system is that it is more proportional than first past the post, so it's not so critical to tactically vote...every vote for a remain party will send some kind of message (small and un-listened to though it may be
) even if your candidate isn't actually elected.
laska -fab kimono - I agree it will look lovely over the navy Janelle.
OK, so my hush things came. The embroidered sleeve dress is beautiful - but i think it is just a bit much. It's just a t-shirt dress if you ignore the lovely sleeves, and the fabric is quite thin. As expected, the washing instructions on the website, which say you can do a gentle machine wash are wrong...the actual dress say it is cool hand wash only, and I think you would have to to avoid wrecking the embroidery & sequins, which are on a sheer mesh panel. Its really pretty and sparkly, but I don't think it would get the wear to be honest - and the sequins would probably rub on my arms. So it's gone back. Similarly, the crochet tee is nice (lovely neckline), but expensive for a tee, and v thin cotton (could see my nude bra quite clearly, so nothing else would stand a chance!). So that wasn't too successful
. I also sent back the sunset sweat (not sure I said I'd ordered that at the weekend?) - I kind of had a bit of FOMO
. It is really lovely and soft, and a good shape, but the colour doesn't really do anything for me tbh. But the main reason is the flipping "distressing" of the ribbing round the neck, cuffs and bottom - why do they do that?! It looks as if someone took a perfectly good sweatshirt and snipped it randomly with some nail scissors - the colour alone gives it that lovely faded "oh, this old thing" vibe...it doesn't need to look like its been in an accident with some agricultural machinery...
But i did order the handbag, and I've decided I'll keep the khaki wren too
so i definitely don't have a
of any description...
