It bloody hurt ..my eyes were literally leaking but I would do it again.

chickenchaser101 · 14/05/2019 12:18

@Ladybirdbookworm oh no really! How long did it take and what was the pain like? I do want them done but it's actually putting me off so much 😭 do you have a high pain threshold? As I do x

Only a couple of minutes. The sides of my lips just stung a little but the Cupids Bow wasn't pleasant. I would have it done again though.
Next time I will make sure to rub my lips together to get the numbing cream into the inside of my lips.
I have a high pain threshold so was a little shocked at how much it did hurt.

Mummyoftwo91 · 14/05/2019 20:29

I'm getting mine done Thursday so I'll let you know and post pictures

CremeDeSudo · 14/05/2019 21:19

I think it depends what filler you have. In the past I've had juvoderm which has a deadner in it and perfectha which doesn't! The perfectha was better though so am going back for more later this year despite the pain!

chickenchaser101 · 14/05/2019 21:38

@Mummyoftwo91 mine are booked for Thursday at 11:20! Xx

I think I just have to pull my big girl pants up and get over the pain...

I've had mine done a few times now. I do find it sore but not agony it's more like an annoying stingy pain to me.

Before and after pic is from the first time I had them done (before and immediately after), I got 0.5ml. And second is them a few weeks ago. I've had 0.5ml two more times. So 3 lots since 2017. Last time was early last year though and I think they've lasted well!

The Cupid's bow is a killer. The second time I had it done she did it with a cannula, barely felt it.

madeofstarlight · 14/05/2019 21:50

Oh yeah, definitely agree the Cupid's bow is really sore! So quick though.

Mummyoftwo91 · 14/05/2019 23:28

Mine are at 11.15! I'm not too worried about pain, more worried about the swelling after and how noticeable it will be!

chickenchaser101 · 15/05/2019 08:30

@Mummyoftwo91 yeah, I haven't told many people and don't want them to notice 😂

Chicken how much are you getting put in?

chickenchaser101 · 15/05/2019 09:56

@Mummyoftwo91 1ml, mainly in my top lip, you? We will have to share photos tomorrow!

OP posts:
Scion457 · 15/05/2019 10:12

People will notice. They may be polite and not draw attention to it but they definitely will notice.

Mummyoftwo91 · 15/05/2019 22:32

Yes will share photos tomorrow!

mrssunshinexxx · 15/05/2019 22:41

F
I am really considering it but the thing that puts me off it is something goes wrong and if swelling is huge, not the pain x

chickenchaser101 · 16/05/2019 09:36

@Mummyoftwo91 today's the day!

Will show you all later and let you know it goes xxx

I didn't find the pain bad at all, starting to swell now and bruise a little though!

Mnthrowaway20199 · 16/05/2019 17:02

I have had lip fillers (juvederm) a few times.

I think the pain hurts but is absolutely bearable. Your eyes may water, your lips may bleed a tiny bit at the injection sites etc. The first injection will feel fine, it’s the later ones that feel more tender as your lips start to feel more sore from the earlier injections. Again, it’s absolutely bearable though. You will definitely be able to withstand all the little tweaks that you may want.

I disagree that people will immediately notice after your first time - absolutely no one noticed mine at all. At all. They barely looked any different after the initial swelling went down. I went to an expensive London clinic so it wasn’t the practitioner. My body just metabolised the filler quickly.

You will start to see more noticeable results after subsequent appointments. I also found that my filler lasted longer at subsequent appointments - I have gone a year between appointments recently.

chickenchaser101 · 16/05/2019 17:48

I didn't find the injections painful at all. But OH MY GOD they are so swollen and bruised now! Really hurting. It's like a stinging ache 😂 they're looking very big at the moment so I'm excited for them to go down and see the results x

I hope you don't mind me saying it, but if the top picture is the "before" picture I'm struggling to understand why you had it done. You have a perfectly lovely pair of lips.

chickenchaser101 · 16/05/2019 18:03

@TapasForTwo perhaps this shows it better. My
Top lip disappeared very quickly when showing expression. It's just a personal insecurity of mine, but thank you :-) zx
