Liz Hurley has lip fillers and they look great. Most other people don’t look so natural and you can easily tell they have had them done.

However that’s their personal choice.

But I see some that are ridiculously over filled, not quite as extreme as this

But not far off. That to me is just beyond comprehension.

PollyShelby · 23/05/2019 12:34

Lauren can't be well to be knowingly doing that to herself.

She needs someone to have a quiet word bless her.

sheshootssheimplores · 23/05/2019 12:37

These z listers are stuck in a cycle of free fillers and photo filters. All of them look like aliens. Your average person who is having it done past 35 is just trying to get up in tone morning, look in the mirror, and not be scared shitless.

breakfastpizza · 23/05/2019 12:41

Anyone tried derma rolling their lips? Lots of vids on youtube. I've been doing 2-3 times a week and you get a very natural looking increase in volume.

sheshootssheimplores · 23/05/2019 12:51

Never heard of that! I actually have a dermal roller that I’ve never used as I got too scared.

breakfastpizza · 23/05/2019 13:01

@sheshootssheimplores Just be meticulous with disinfecting before and after and it should be fine!

Thing1thing2thing3 · 23/05/2019 13:29

I’m sorry but to me lip fillers make people look thick Blush ( runs and hides)

FiremanKing · 23/05/2019 13:51

@breakfastpizza

I got carried away with a Derma roller and stupidly rolled it over my lips.

My lips swelled skin to rubbing a chilli 🌶 over them. I wouldn’t do it again.

BusterGonad · 23/05/2019 14:02

Thing1thing2thing3 that's because the ones we see on tv and in the papers (z list celebs) usually are!
I'm loathe to agree with you tbh

ReindeerTails · 23/05/2019 14:13

I think it's easy to overdo. If I was doing it (I haven't) then I would have a tiny tiny amount at first - I would ask what the standard amount was and halve it, or even quarter it if it was a beautician's type salon rather than an aesthetic clinic as beauticians are cheaper but that will likely attract younger clients who want an instant large visible result and they don't mind who knows they've had fillers. More expensive aesthetic clinics places will attract a wider range of clients who want something very subtle, or a more mature clientele who would hate anyone to know (not buying into the celebrity culture or statement lips for example but want to look refreshed).

You can always go back for more once you've got an idea of what works for you and your face, and how far you want to push it. Easier to add than take away.

sheshootssheimplores · 23/05/2019 14:16

The problem with going back umpteenth times is that your lips swell. If you have a busy life you obviously don’t want to go out and about looking like you e been punched in the face. So very often these procedures have to be slotted between work/school runs etc.

Hmmmmmmum · 23/05/2019 21:55

breakfastpizza
You would only get an increase in size from dermarolling due to the trauma and swelling it causes. So this would only be a temporary effect.

If you were to do it over and over, every day to create volume/swelling, you could end up developing scar tissue.

Ladies, your all gorgeous, with or without lip fillers! I’m lucky that I was born with large lips, I was teased a lot as a child over them. It makes me happy these days that I ‘fit in’ with the current trend of larger lips. I get Botox myself and it gives me confidence. I’m of the thought that if something makes you happy be it- fillers, Botox, making yourself look like a smurf- you do it. You only live once. You do what makes YOU happy, sod everyone else x
