long hair on small boys

my 2 year old ds never had a haircut
still patchy hair but what there is is long and thick
people ask me when i getting it cut
i like it

My DS1 had beautiful long blond curls which I kept until the weight of the hair pulled them down. I fondly thought he might be a poet or musician when he grew up. Once he had had his curls cut off his hair went brown and people started to say that perhaps he would be an engineer like his father. Let your son keep his long locks while they still suit him, time enough for boring short hair later. 20+ years later DS1 is a short haired civil servant but my arty DS2 has beautiful long hair which is much admired.

My two gorgeous nephews have long curly hair (well down the neck not ankle length!). Luckily the mum ignores granny who wanted them to have a haircut!!

I love it. They look like baby rock stars.

Why on earth have you resurrected a thread from 14 YEARS AGO, just to say you don't like short hair?

My grandson has lovely long hair, straight as a die, he's now 8 and refuses to have it cut

Yes my DS's granny on my DP's side wants him to have a haircut. I also gave my DS the option and he said no. Maybe I can persuade him to get a trim when we can actually get an appointment.

Currently he has wavy hair up to his neck (nearly shoulders).
