I Also said it was the type of dress I could imagine those who favour the retro look with tattoos and saltwater sandals would like- I can’t remember the name for that look but it is quite ‘pin -up’ with a twist.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 02/04/2019 10:40

Hey-ho there are some right grumpy gits on here of late who seem to have a need to be negative about everything......

PinkieTuscadero · 02/04/2019 10:45

Me on the school run yesterday.

Is this THIS year's School Run Dress?
SummerHouse · 02/04/2019 10:47

Grin pinkie

Lovely thread lifter.

NashvilleQueen · 02/04/2019 10:55

Blimey. Some vitriol thrown at the OP on this thread. For all those saying the OP is a male working at the BM marketing dept a quick search will reveal she’s been here a good while and posts on lots of different threads.

If you don’t like the dress then that’s fine (it’s not for me either). Just move on.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 02/04/2019 11:00

Well said Nashville 🙂

Attention would be better focussed on the mysterious creep of Hush on mumsnet since so many posters say it is samey and crap quality....yet those threads run and run.....

fishonabicycle · 02/04/2019 11:05

I've never heard of the Mumsnet SRD, but it's obvious that it is shorthand for something comfortable, but looks reasonably presentable, that you can wear if you are leaving the house in the summer. I often skin about at home in appalling shorts/vest/whatever combo and would put something else in if I go out somewhere. Surely it's easy enough to understand ...

AuntieStella · 02/04/2019 11:08

of course it's easy to understand!

I often look in Poetry for summer dresses (their hemp weave is also beach-proof) but it all seems a bit weirdly asymmetric this year.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 02/04/2019 11:11

Yes and that’s the rub,why does a school run dress need to be ‘reasonably presentable’
As opposed to unreasonably presented?why does it merit reasonably presented
I don’t have reasonably and unreasonably presented clothes.i have clothes

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 02/04/2019 11:16

🙄

PinkieTuscadero · 02/04/2019 11:17

This is the Style and Beauty board.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 02/04/2019 11:18

Haha eye rolling from someone who got a post deleted on style thread
You’re in no position to take any tutty stance

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 02/04/2019 11:19

Pinkie that’s corect, hence we are discussing the merits and practice of School run dress

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 02/04/2019 11:20

Lipstick you are coming across as a bit of a knobber.

Report that with a cherry on top 😘

PinkieTuscadero · 02/04/2019 11:21

Yes but you seem puzzled as to why someone would suggest an aesthetically pleasing dress (to them) as something to wear on the school run.

'I don’t have reasonably and unreasonably presented clothes.i have clothes'

^^ that can be said of clothes for any situation. But seems a bit pointless in this particular corner of MN.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 02/04/2019 11:24

Report your post,Paul?gosh no.why deprive others of your erudite wit

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 02/04/2019 11:26

No I and others are puzzled at the need for a specific dress for school run
It’s the making an event of a perfunctory task, didn’t think there’s a dress code for school run

WatcherOfTheNight · 02/04/2019 11:30

If mine were still young enough,I think I'd go for SRJ now rather than SRD ,much easier when you can't be arsed shaving your legs ! And a lot more forgiving Smile

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 02/04/2019 11:33

Crack out the grey marl trackies if you want lipstick......

NEWSFLASH : no one gives a rat’s arse ref your judgement concerning sartorial matters .....

Do what makes you happy and live and let live. No need for all this snippy shite.

hsegfiugseskufh · 02/04/2019 11:35

I like it! im 23!

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 02/04/2019 11:39

Snippy Shite?and you quipping you’re a knobber is a friendly salutation
Haha you are funny, carry on.i quite like it
Btw , Do the veins on your neck pop when you type paul

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 02/04/2019 11:41

Christ you need to chill the fuck out....

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 02/04/2019 11:43

Paul to date you’ve
called me a knobber
Told me to chill the fuck out
Had an eye roll

I fear you’re somewhat unnecessarily vexed.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 02/04/2019 12:06

Is it just me or does this thread have more than a whiff of inverted snobbery from some posters?

Fazackerley · 02/04/2019 12:08

Only on a mumsnet could a completely non descript dress cause this ridiculous argument.
