I think it's nice. However I have a strict leggings only dress code for the school run.

Oh no it's definitely not.

Happilyacceptingcookies · 01/04/2019 19:40

Not keen. But also not keen on the idea of a school run dress. Or any kind of uniformity in what people wear for the school run. It's stressful anyway, everyone might as well look and feel good in whatever they like.

Hollowvictory · 01/04/2019 19:42

Yes I'm in my business attire for any school runs. I do t have special school. Pick up costumes.

SeventhWave · 01/04/2019 19:44

Fit and flare, eh? Something to avoid for me - I flare prety well without any help!

CountFosco · 01/04/2019 19:51

I assume the schoolrun dress is for the people on the Look such a slob at home thread so they look slightly more respectable. But at my kids school there's everything from people wearing their running gear to people wearing suits so I don't think anyone judges anyone because we've all come from orgoing to different places.

Petalflowers · 01/04/2019 19:57

I think it’s okay.

NeverTwerkNaked · 01/04/2019 19:57

Wtf is a school run dress? Don’t people just to in whatever they were already wearing? Surely no one gets into a particular outfit just for the school run?

FaFoutis · 01/04/2019 19:58

They judge Count.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 01/04/2019 19:59

Ah, it's a nope from me too. What on Earth is a school run dress?! I'll be dropping DS off in my work clothes which this summer will probably be culottes Grin

Tanaqui · 01/04/2019 20:02

Iirc, the school run dress was a summer dress you could pull on after gardening/ toddler wrangling/ dossing around in a bikini drinking vino all day, and still look passable on the school run.

Seem to remember more people dossed around during the school day in the olden days! (Lighthearted! Rose tinted specs!)

PetuliaBlavatsky · 01/04/2019 20:02

Oh dear, I quite like it!

EdWinchester · 01/04/2019 20:04

Hideous!

And are Bonmarche serious? No-one under the age of 70 shops there.

(and now I have their frigging ads popping up)

EffYouSeeKaye · 01/04/2019 20:05

I still doss. Dossing is my fave.

blackcoffeeinbed · 01/04/2019 20:06

My 70 year old aunty shops at Bonmarche.... and what is a school run dress?? Is there such a thing as a wardrobe specifically for school runs??

Refilona · 01/04/2019 20:06

What’s with all these posts about the supposedly great bon marche stuff?! (See the “most flattering Capri trousers” topic... made me laugh as there’s no such thing, is there?!)

I see you Bon Marche... and NON! (But good advertising technique I suppose)

alittlegem · 01/04/2019 20:08

I'd wear it if I had a figure like her! Grin

SimplyPut · 01/04/2019 20:09

🙈

TresDesolee · 01/04/2019 20:09

Yep I too am wondering if Bon Marche are trying a little organic marketing.

I remember the school run dress threads, they were nice (although the dresses never suited me)

Whyknot · 01/04/2019 20:13

I quite like it.

School run dress is a mnet reference from years ago.

Bon marche is reportedly having a bit of a moment, new buyers and direction. I haven't visited, so can't comment on what's on offer but have seen it being referenced lately on insta and fashion sites (perhaps new PR).

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/04/2019 20:18

It looks like one of those curtains dresses from the sound of music.

Zoflorabore · 01/04/2019 20:19

New direction? Where? In the river?

I wouldn't shop there if it was free.

They are way out of their depth if they are seriously trying to attract women who have school aged children. It's all polyester, sensible, slacks, fleecey shit and loud prints.
Women like to look nice on the whole and BM is never going to be trendy.

Nice try though.

Dumdedumdedum · 01/04/2019 20:20

I think it's really pretty, but then I'm nearer 70 than school-run-mum age.

according · 01/04/2019 20:21

What the fuck is that
