I’ve met the Duchess of Kent through a work function and she was lovely.

I love Mathilde's coat and cuffs .But ,umm,isn't it pulling rather a lot where it's fastened with the clasp? As though it's too small around the hips ?

My pulling antennae are switched on now after so much scrutiny of the seams on Meghans Dior kaftan .

The Duchess of Kent lost a baby, I think it was a stillbirth. She was understandably traumatized and I think suffered from depression to the point she may have been hospitalized. Through this event and her suffering she found meaning and solace in faith and converted. I think she also asked the Queen if she could please step out of the public eye and prefers a low profile. I think she is a music teacher and teaches children.

After Diana died, I went to BP to look at the flowers. Noticed a chic blonde lady with that elusive ‘well off’ air put down a bouquet and have a look at some of the others - and then realised it was the Duchess of Kent.

Thought it was a bit strange but also quite refreshing that she was just leaving flowers with all the members of the public.

She did @IdaBWells. She apparently also had a termination a couple of years before the still birth as she contracted German measles in pregnancy. I imagine the combination of both events left a significant psychological mark on her.

On another note, Lady Helen looks more and more like her mum with the passing of each year.

Today's itinerary focuses on their pet cause of young people's mental health. I guess the itinerary will be revealed on a day by day basis due to security concerns but the cynic in me says that the main reason for this trip is Brexit!

Can I just say that wasn't the photo I saw! I mean I wear glasses and that but even my sight isn't that bad that I couldn't identify red as the colour in that photo 😂😂

The sleeves of the coat (or coat dress?) seem a bit short and there's something slightly odd going on around her knees. Is she wearing a catsuit under it??

Skinny jeans and a black polo neck so that she doesn't have to change for the next destination (Windsor Park Football stadium) which is focus on mental health and sport so presumably she'll be joining in some activities?

I like that shade of red on Kate. I agree that she's in skinnies and jumper underneath for some action shots at the next venue.

I don't like the skinny jeans under the coat but if it's because she's dressed for the next engagement it makes good sense.

Lovely coat, if identical to the eleventy billion identical coats she has. I hope it's a repeat or it's a huge waste of money to get another one.
