Let's keep criticism to the clothes rather than the women please...

She looks cool as a cucumber and very pretty.

I think M has had the unfortunate experience during pregnancy of expanding sideways. The side on shots of most of her outfits look great, but her bump/boob combo make her look not so good head on.

BartonHollow · 25/02/2019 19:29

Thanks for the effort Rhu

But it's THIS ONE

(Theatrical Sobbing)

@Rhubarbisevil That looks like CW by way of BooHoo!

I don''t like that dress at all. It reminds me of the dress she wore in the summer to a friend of Harry's wedding. She does seem to have expanded sideways . I wouldn't have worn the Breton top either with the horizontal stripes.

Boxlikeahare · 25/02/2019 19:44

I think its a bit ungenerous to label her as expanding sideways when she is having a baby (even though it I recognise that it is in the spirit of the thread).

I think she should be able to expand whichever way she likes without comment - however, I do find her wardrobe choices poor and none of them seem to fit.

Especially poor for someone with so much help at hand and so much cash to spend.

Spudlet · 25/02/2019 19:47

She looks very beautiful in that dress, but I think that's because she is very beautiful. If she were a more ordinary looking woman, she'd risk looking like a floral doilie!

She carries off well though. It's a good shade of blue on her as well.

TSSDNCOP · 25/02/2019 19:51

My point wasn't to say she shouldn't expand obviously, rather that in her particular case it's laterally. It's going to kill the line of almost any dress.

Frankly, I say fuck it. If she feels great good luck. I also think most of her choices are terrific (the long black skirts notwithstanding).

certainlymerry · 25/02/2019 20:02

I love the black dress with white jacket!

waterandlemonjuice · 25/02/2019 20:06

That Dior dress is a bit Demis Roussos, she looks much better in the blue imo.

Even if Harry is Nice But Dim he's also smoking hot so there is that...

FANTINE2 · 25/02/2019 20:10

Lovely outfits, but I wish Meghan would stop constantly holding/clutching/caressing her stomach. Is it really necessary??

AFifthOfKoolAid · 25/02/2019 20:12

Is it really unnecessary?

I can't unsee Demis Roussos now! His spirit is still with us.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 25/02/2019 20:16

For ever and ever and ever Afifth

Alwayscheerful · 25/02/2019 20:26

That shade of blue is stunning on Meghan, she looks very beautiful however, the pattern placement is not very flattering.

ElspethFlashman · 25/02/2019 20:35

Look, I think we can all agree it's better than we've had. At least it's not bloody black.

She's definitely not the style queen I was hoping for..... But I guess I'll always have SuperMax and Magnificent Mary.

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/02/2019 20:55

Give her time @ElspethFlashman, she's been dealing with a pregnant body for almost her entire time as a royal. She may bounce back after the baby and surprise us all!

Elspetg I think others may disagree. I LOVE her style. To me, it is modern, fashionable, stylish, classy and shows personality and independent thinking. It is a welcome change from the other ‘boutique’ clad female UK royals. The only one that showed any style up to now is Eugenie and in doing so she had misses along with hits. I prefer to see these two over any amount of ‘safe’ clothes. Ripped jeans, a white dirt and sunglasses wins over a floppy skirt or frock coat forme and I think it is great that we now have women with opposite styles to keep us all happy.

Aberforthsgoat · 25/02/2019 21:18

Maybe it will just take a while for her to settle into it elspeth I haven’t given up hope just yet!

BeautifulComicalThings · 25/02/2019 21:19

Eek really not a fan of this one. The sleeves and seem especially unflattering and the skirt looks heavy. Immediately brought to mind the blue and white Oscar de la Renta dress which wasn’t a good moment!

Rhubarbisevil · 25/02/2019 21:23

barton Maria Von Trapp made that dress out of some curtains, didn’t she? I think MM would look lovely in it though, come July.

BartonHollow · 25/02/2019 21:23

She HAS got pregnant very early in her tenure as a member of The Firm which was inevitable given her age. Plus it's a very new world in which she needs to grow in confidence

That means her best style years are ahead of her

When Kate first began I coveted her style

And now it's become a bit of a Work Uniform and is like to see something different from the stylish coat

I still love her evening wear

user1457017537 · 25/02/2019 21:25

The dress is too long and sweeping up the floor as she walks. It is too voluminous. I didn’t think the Dior kaftan was all that either.

BartonHollow · 25/02/2019 21:25

@Rhubarbisevil

My coveted Martina dress????!!!

Made for roaming around Salzburg and hanging out of trees?!!!!

😱😱😱😱

How VERY dare you....

INDEED!
