Previous thread

Let's keep criticism to the clothes rather than the women please...

Beanies - all the Oscar pictures I saw made the wears look overweight. which I found mind boggling when you consider how skinny they are!

(sorry, will stick with royal commentary again!)

myrtleWilson · 25/02/2019 18:35

Final outfit of the tour... hard to tell much about it from angle of photo but I love the colour

Those are some very glam women there. The Moroccan royal women are famous for their glamour so I won't be surprised if that's a big label Meghan is wearing.

Still a rubbish shot but. I like the pattern and colour but the cut doesn't look great from this tiny thumbnail. Original is on the Kensington royal Instagram page story if you want to try and see more detail.

Here we go I actually like it more not I have seen it better she is obviously sticking to a modest dress code this tour shoulders coverd high neck lines and non fitted dresses. I think if I have seen anything this week is that Meghan is all bump and as such actually the more fitted styles do suit her better!

That's the teenage crown prince there with them, the son of Lalla Salma..

Slight thread derailment (apologies)

But @beanaseireann

Best Dressed : Kiki Layne, Laura Harrier

Worst Dressed : Linda Cardellini and whatever the actual Kendall Jenner wasn't wearing

Must preferred Olivia's second dress to her ceremony dress she seemed thwarted by her dress whilst accepting

AFifthOfKoolAid · 25/02/2019 18:55

Here's another view. I like the pattern and the colour is nice and spring-like, at least it's not sludgy! I am not mad about it but prefer it to the Dior. Same bag?

BartonHollow · 25/02/2019 18:58

I wouldn't wear it because to quote Lydia Bennett I'm "too much of a fright to look well in it" and it's too busy for me

Not my taste

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/02/2019 18:59

The dress is Carolina Herrera. It isn't my cup of tea but she looks cool and comfortable and at this stage in pregnancy who doesn't want to put on a muumuu and let it all hang out?

And agree with @thatone that it's great that Meghan has emphasised the importance of education for girls this week. Obviously this thread is about the clothes but we shouldn't let that totally detract from the messages for which the royal women use their platform.

I like the colour and the print, it really suits her.

itswinetime · 25/02/2019 19:00

Last one makeup is fab as always! I like the slight night in the hair to I think it lifts the style more than the pulled back look. I think I prefer her in a more fitted look but for late pregnancy this isn't a bad look no work on the designer yet that I can see.

hopeishere · 25/02/2019 19:01

I think the pattern is nice but it's too fussy.

Rhubarbisevil · 25/02/2019 19:01

Did Carole Middleton wear Catherine Walker to the 2011 kate/wills wedding? Other than that, does anyone still wear her?

SlipperOrchid · 25/02/2019 19:01

Just read the ‘fab four’ are all attending a reception at BP on March 3rd for Charles. Should be interesting to see the swish style.

itswinetime · 25/02/2019 19:04

Is that the celebration of 50 years since Charles was made prince of Wales? i thought I'd read it was the 5th but still soon! Is it definitely a public event?? And dare we hope a tiara worthy event??? Crown

AnneEyhtMeyer · 25/02/2019 19:07

Meghan looked a lot better today. She suits casual wear far better than formal wear. I think she needs to take advice on this as she doesn't seem to ever get the fit right.

As for post-birth photos, I left hospital after DD in trackie bottoms, a baggie t-shirt, slippers, accessorised with a pillow held against my infected c-section wound with tears streaming down my puffy red face. I don't think anyone should have to have the press for weeks after birth.

BartonHollow · 25/02/2019 19:08

@Rhubarbisevil

Darcy Bussell wore a green Catherine Walker with a leather jacket on Graham Norton - Jason Momoa couldn't take his eyes off her and I nearly died of envy

It was, I think Curly sourced if for me but as I'm broke as a joke ever owning a Catherine Walker is LOL territory for me

SlipperOrchid · 25/02/2019 19:08

Yes Charles’s anniversary....are there two s? I can never remember without looking it up. If they announced it, I’m guessing we will see them. Hopefully more than a shoulder strap in a car anyway! Although I guess Meghan will rewear something from her current trip and Kate will set to dazzle.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 25/02/2019 19:12

That blue outfit looks like a Simplicity pattern from the 70s. Very Margot Leadbetter.

beanaseireann · 25/02/2019 19:13

Rhubarbisevil
I loved Carole Middletons outfits as MoB at both weddings.

Rhubarbisevil · 25/02/2019 19:15

Quickly shuffles off to EBay for barton

Rhubarbisevil · 25/02/2019 19:17

Here you go. But I’m not convinced it’s genuine for £50.

From the fail
*The Queen and senior royals are to gather to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the investiture of the Prince of Wales.

Heir to the throne Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Princess Royal will attend the special reception hosted by the monarch at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday March 5.*

*Buckingham Palace said the special reception in London would mark the prince’s 50 years of service to Wales, the UK and the Commonwealth, and will be an opportunity to celebrate a range of Welsh charities, organisations and businesses.

The investiture regalia worn by Charles in 1969 will be on show, including the Investiture Coronet, Sword, Ring and Rod, as well as the Letters Patent for the creation of Charles, Duke of Cornwall as Prince of Wales in 1958.*

So it sounds like it will be public but it won't be a tiara event Sad

Janecon · 25/02/2019 19:22

I really don't like the Herrera dress. I've loved all her outfits on this trip, but not this one.
