I've overlaid Elephant with some Brocade Tenderness. This perfume is probably the dictionary definition of 'pretty' for me, without ever being overly sweet or 'girly'. I really love it and I think it deserves an FB.

Bought some Korres fig shower gel (my favourite) in TK Maxx yesterday so am wearing the H&M fig perfume Formentera to compliment it.

SOTD is the divine Amour Nocturne... buttery caramel and gunpowder (apparently, although I don't really get that note, but it's wonderfully comforting and cosy without it).

I really should be up and at 'em today but I might lie on the sofa with my crochet instead...

Maud tyger, tyger arrived this morning. i LOVE it! kinda smells like orange cordial and jasmine on me! the only note i know it has is jasmine so i don't know where the orange cordial but comes from but i do really like it. thank you again Thanks

Warszawa by Pure Distance is my Sotd. Ds1 asked me what that smell was? Said it smelt like perfume room sticks😳. Then told me it wasn’t as bad as many of the other perfumes I wear .

Discharged from hospital yesterday and got home to my floral street testers. I can't remember who thought chypre sublime reminded them of POAL, but I definitely get the same vibe from them both. Powdery rose, with the patchouli v obvious to me.

I admire both but wouldn't wear either. I much prefer my Phaedon rouge Avignon which feels like the sweeter sister to these (surprise surprise I like the one with cocoa featuring).

SotD Jardins D'Ecrivains George. This is really good. Like a subtler, massively more sophisticated Kenzo Elephant. Which is odd as there isn't any cardamom. They do share heliotrope and musk.

I like GV very much Judy, although I do get a bit irritated by the constant hint of refined carrot at the periphery of my consciousness Grin.

SOTD MMM Sunday Morning. I wish it was Sunday morning, and I was in bed with DP making bacon sandwiches, I am SO TIRED, and dying of period.

mrsmoggs I didn't get any carrot from it, but will definitely look out for it next time. I have a sample of the Heeley vetiver somewhere, I must dig it out for comparison.

Monday is my birthday, and all I've asked for fragrance-wise is a replacement bottle of Diptyque Philosykos. My next purchase is going to be FM POAL, as I'm wiring through the wee bottle my friend gave me, so any money will go towards that.

My little battered bottle of Diorella arrived - and it's stunning. Have been wearing Diorama this week, too. Really interesting to note just how completely perfect the Roudnitska's are in all dimensions: start to finish, top to bottom, complex magic. And what a strong sense of family resemblance there is between Femme, Diorella and Diorama.

Thank you to the far-flung Perfumista who first got me into vintage Dior. Flowers
