Chevvy - WQ, I think, depends on how you feel about frankincense - very happy to send you some. (PM function isn't working currently for me though - I just keep getting empty messages Sad. Will raise with MN).

MrsS - lovely to hear from you. Am just testing WQ and Parallel side by side and you're right (same frankincense accord used in both???). The caraway and pepper give Parallel quite fresh/sharp spicy opening, where WQ has that milky/carb-y comfort thing going on from the off. I imagine they'll get closer with time. I really rate them both, but then I am a frankincense fiend.

I'm a nightmare really...things that sound perfect for me on paper rarely are...anyone else get that??

I'm now wary of blind buys for that reason.

I was so confused when I sprayed it this morning lots, because it's the first time I'd tried it and yet it was so familiar!! When I realised it smelt the same as POAL I looked on fragrantica and saw I wasn't the only one to make that connection. Good news is it hasn't gone musty, bad news is it's disappeared altogether! I'll try some other floral streets when I can next order the feel unique samples as I like the sound of black lotus. Might swerve the wild vanilla orchid though as I'm like you and prefer a gourmand with an edge.

White Queen is not a normal gourmand at all chevvy. I think it's a gourmand for people who don't normally like them.
I would love to try parallel. Sounds really interesting.

Baby is brilliant, thanks floof - we came home on Friday and he hasn't stopped smiling since. He's happy and fully of energy and just great. You'd never know he'd been so poorly. His big brother however is not enjoying his return quite so much...

My ds1 had many respiratory admissions as a baby and it always amazed me how he rebounded and I felt and looked like roadkill after nights at the hospital!

countfosco I don't think Still is like EA Green Tea at all, personally. It has more depth about it iyswim. Just my opinion, as I recall I didn't much like the EA but that was a long time ago so my tastes/skin may well have changed over the years.

Why do I read that as AC/DC Chevy?
Sotd is Profumum Roma Neroli. I really love bittergreen Myrrh and this has the Myrrh enriching the Neroli. It’s long lasting and addictive like many Profumum Roma perfumes.
Floofy I think I would like a ‘Yo Sushi’ perfume. Maybe green tea with ginger, spiced with a touch of Wasabi and a tinge of a sea accord.
Harvey Nicks......,. the scent with hauteur ..... and froideur.

SOTD is The Great Randello. This has grown on me; I like the sweet tobacco opening drying down to the signature 4160 peachy heart. It's not a stunner but it's very wearable. I've been laid low by some mysterious virus for the last couple of days - typical as it's my week off Hmm - and just want comforting and undemanding, in perfume as in life.

Very tempted by a cheeky sample haul from Roullier White or Bloom to cheer me up, but am skint-o until the end of the month.
