New thread for scented discussion, plus cats, teeth, and cats with problem teeth. Everyone welcome, we are as friendly as the title suggests!

floofy I havent done that yet😂.
Yes, they’re drying slowly in the kitchen.
I was wondering where all my money had gone this week.
Is it helping kalifornia?
chevvy 7.30🔔👊👍

67chevvyimpala · 02/04/2019 17:30

Notes are washable now I'm glad to say..:)

I usually realise I've gone commando by mistake at really embarrassing times....church, funerals, job interviews....

KaliforniaDreamz · 02/04/2019 19:21

chevvy perhaps that's the secret of your success....

teta it was wonderul for 14 months but seems to have stopped working so have been referred to specialist (as GPs have such limited knowledge in this area)

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 02/04/2019 20:45

calm that’s a beautiful description. I was going to wear it today, but it is FREEZING and has lashed rain all day - SOTD Black Opium. Today i haven’t left the house - cooked a huge cauldron of spag bol, finished off the first draft of the thing I’m writing and got it sent off for vetting, then had a long bath with my Kindle. This weather is pissing me off. I want to be in bare ankles and a denim jacket.

Floofy, that's so kind of you!

Thanks everyone who had encouraging words about the masters. I guess I've got to just keep plugging away and get through it although sometimes (like when the kids are ill too) it feels so tough.

SOTD was Shangri La, the Hiram Green chypre I am in love with.

67chevvyimpala · 02/04/2019 22:38

Thanks for the reminder teta!

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 03/04/2019 06:56

SOTD is Nuit de Bakelite. Not worn this for yonks. It's so weird and fabulous. I smell like tuberose, germolene and old record players.

Flippin eck it's chilly this morning.

teta · 03/04/2019 08:12

😁 Chevvy.
Wrappings is Sotd. We have a icing sugar sprinkle on the hills. We have all overslept and one is still in bed.

67chevvyimpala · 03/04/2019 08:58

Meeting a friend for coffee.

Sotd AT ACDD again. Ooooh its lush.

MotherOfDragonite · 03/04/2019 09:37

I have a strong waft of Tiffany EDP Intense in my living room right now as my mother dropped and then stepped on a sample right in the middle of the rug :-/

But, ignoring that, my SOTD is Patchouli Clouds, although I may change as I actually meant to put on Spring Rain but spritzed the wrong one and then kept going...

I am getting a strangely strong scent of tea from Patchouli Clouds that I didn't pick up on at all when I wore it previously. It's lovely but just odd how much perfumes change depending on weather, body chemistry, etc! (teta, do you get the tea note???)

MotherOfDragonite · 03/04/2019 09:39

And why are my asterisks not doing their usual magic to make that bold?!

KaliforniaDreamz · 03/04/2019 10:33

It's so weird and fabulous. I smell like tuberose, germolene and old record players. this sounds amazing!!

Judy i also write things for people! altho it's geting harder and harder to find paid stuff. grrr..

67chevvyimpala · 03/04/2019 12:48

Floofys parcel arrived...thank you x

I love baccarat rouge and the other one is very nice....quite indolic!

I shall wear the BRouge tomorrow:)

Lotsofpots · 03/04/2019 13:33

floofy thank you for your parcel! Yet to try it, so will report back. And apologies for not replying to your message - I think forgetfulness may be another thing to add to the Venn diagram (mine is due to sleep deprivation, and perhaps crazy hormones as I suspect my period is returning).

Also I'm using all my brain power to try and understand what the fuck is happening with brexit on a daily basis when I need to be focusing on basic life admin and other, slightly more pressing personal issues like trying to find a bloody job.

SOTD is 4160 Who Knew. Possibly my favourite ever.

MotherOfDragonite · 03/04/2019 14:29

Floofy, a huge thank you for your lovely parcel, which arrived this morning and really cheered me up in the midst of a day with DD1 off sick again (but on the mend and therefore surprisingly high energy).

I LOOOOOVE the By The Fireplace, it smells amazing on me. I haven't tried the others yet but will update as soon as I do. Can't wait.

Kalifornia, Judy... I also write things for people! (Although I do something else too as I am in the process of transitioning to another career). Another circle for the Venn diagram?!

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 03/04/2019 14:56

I used to write things for people, does that count? 😃

After a clap of thunder that brought people out of their offices on my floor to check a bomb hadn't gone off 😲 it is now SNOWING in central London...

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 03/04/2019 15:20

And three different people gave walked into my office today, sniffed and said, what is that weird smell? So maybe Nuit de Bakelite needs to be reserved for non-work days 😄😄😄

67chevvyimpala · 03/04/2019 15:22

mother (first pump) another lover of by the fireplace! Yay!

It's odd weather wise here.

We often miss the worst of things as we have an odd microclimate.

FloofyCatTheFraganceFanatic · 03/04/2019 15:56

I have recruited another member to your By The Fireplace Dupe Cult chevvy I should be on commission I think Grin Glad you like it mother and hope little one feels better soon! Look forward to Timeless reviews from you and lots

Chevvy I thought you'd like the B Rouge, do you think it's similar to By the Fireplace? For some reason I can't bear one of the notes which seems to be in both, which turns to stale frankfurters cooked on a bonfire, on my skin. I'm sure someone can identify which note as I can't work it out!

I can tell you all write/used to write as all your descriptions here are so good! I used to write factual descriptions, am I allowed in the Venn Diagram? I've lost all my SPaG bit of my brain though so probably not Grin

SOTD was Timeless (baaaaaaah) as it's sleeting here too and I was out in it for ages. Read judy's post when I got home at lunch and immediately made spag bol too (baaaaahhh baaaaaahh). This thread should be called The Ideal Thread for Enablers and the Easily Persuaded Wink

Remembered my knickers today though. Which is a bonus Grin

67chevvyimpala · 03/04/2019 16:04

🤣
Yes, I do think that it has similarities.
I am now also doing pasta....baaaa 🍝

67chevvyimpala · 03/04/2019 16:34

I think if you struggle with jasmine that may be what you're disliking in Baccarrat Rouge?

It's also got saffron in.

I may have to treat myself to the pp version. Remind me of the name?

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 03/04/2019 17:02

i'm so bad. I bought both Vera Wang Flower Princess AND Gucci Guilty Black today. i'm unstoppable tbh, i see them, i like them they fall into my basket and before i know it ive paid and ive got a bag im, walking out with. shameless tbf

67chevvyimpala · 03/04/2019 17:08

Shameless?

Love it 😁❤

67chevvyimpala · 03/04/2019 17:29

Sote Avon timeless

MotherOfDragonite · 03/04/2019 17:45

Stale frankfurters cooked on a bonfire! Floofy, why does that scent smell so good on me?! Grin I love it though, like you chevvy... very comforting in a sensual way, genuinely like curling up in front of a warm fire!
