Loved this Chanel outfit - would have been fab for yesterday's conference!

I know a lot of people want to see Kate In edgier clothes but I really do not think it’s her personality at all, she is definitely more Charlotte and Meghan is more Carrie! She would probably feel extremely uncomfortable dressing that way and therefore I really don’t think she would carry it off, what she would look good in is more sophisticated styles, less of the girly flippy skirts and Disney evening gowns, in fact when she was younger she sometimes looked more sophisticated than she does now though she probably would think these evening gowns are too glam for her royal status now I do think she looks lovely.

Sadly the view that IVF babies are "abominations" if officially Catholic doctrine. Better to spread HIV willy-nilly and force women to have unwanted.babies ehh?

Totally can see Kate as Charlotte and MM as Carrie, which is the reason I hate MM’s recent looks - they’re just not her :( not East coast cool - she could be our Californian version of Max! Come on MM, go for it!

Yes To go Chanel or go home, the reason why I'm so loyal to Chanel jackets is because they are made to last.

Not a huge fan of the Gucci , it's very pretty but very smiliar to what she usually wears , which is why I thought it was a repeat at first.
D&G , well that is a brand I was never a fan of, and now I really despise, Stefano is A hateful racist loser , who needs to stay away from social media. Really surprised Kate chose to wear their clothes.

I think Grumble is right in that’s what Rome teaches, as for whether any diocese pick it up I don’t know! I do know several catholic couples who’ve had IVF, and a great thing they did too!

I didn't like Kate's Gucci dress at all. Am not a fan of those little velvet belts - reminds me of dresses my daughter wore when about 3 years old.

I think she needs to go a bit sexier really and less little girl going to a birthday tea party.

It seems the Catholic Church is still opposed to IVF, artificial contraception, abortion and euthanasia but as @Notmyrealname855 says, dioceses probably leave it to the individual to make the decision for themselves.

But anyway, we digress from the point of this thread!

Our ex President Mary Mc Aleese, when she was very cosy with the Catholic Church spoke out against IVF, in line with Catholic teaching.
I felt it was easy for her with three lovely children, think about those not so lucky, including members of my own family.
She's gone against some of the Church's views now as her son has come out.

I discovered that this was the official position of the Catholic church when I posted on a memorial page to one of the IVF pioneer team who died a few years ago and thanked them for giving me an absolutely precious and priceless gift, my beautiful son. I was then told he was going to hell as he doesn't have a soul . Sorry for the huge derail.

I have a theory. I think Kate took Charlotte to the dress fittings/options meeting. The white dress, which I really like, and the pink dress (which I am not as keen on) are both very fairy tale princess styles and the kind of things my little girl, just a year older than Charlotte, would fall head over heels in love with. I know it’s a silly theory!

Pics of Edward at a London Palladium performance yesterday - he really does need to dump the double breasted suits. They make him look bobble-headed with huge shoulders.

@beanaseireann Dolce e Gabbana have expressed some dodgy views on IVF and they designed the suit Kate wore yesterday.

Agree about Edwards suits, he could look so much smarter with better fitting clothes.
