Aww Fuzzy that’s very considerate of dd, hope Dh is doing ok now.
Ooh that’s sounds a fabulous way of reusing the fabric, I love liberty’s prints.

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 20:35

I like the Hamilton dress & the stripey one is nice as well, the green print one is pretty.

FuzzyPuffling · 08/02/2019 20:41

He's doing ok thanks len. :)

It's tana lawn and has certainly survived well its many years in my cupboard/fabric box. Testament to the quality!

GinandGingerBeer · 08/02/2019 20:49

Good to hear Fuzzy yy quality such beautiful colours & just so classic unfortunately I can just about sew a button on, no dressmaking skills whatsoever, unlike my dm who was so talented she did try to teach me but I was a lost cause.

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 20:51

Gin absolutely beautiful, how funny we have the same round wall & lobby door.

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 20:54

Gin the wallpaper at the bottom is very similar to what we have as well, I wish I could get a table in our hall but she it’s to narrow unfortunately, it’s annoying as it’s a reasonable size house but the hall is a bit of a letdown I always feel.

GinandGingerBeer · 08/02/2019 20:56

I know! Do you also have ridiculously high heating bills, drafty sash windows and stairs so steep you need oxygen? GrinGrin

FuzzyPuffling · 08/02/2019 20:59

My mum hated dressmaking (and cooking and cleaning) so I have had to make it all up myself. She loved gardening though, and I have caught that bug.
My dad couldn't do any DIY either - I remember him showing some visitors my puttying in of a window (I was about 11) with great pride. I'm Ms Bodgit and Scarper...it's all made up as I go along.

Mind you, the gardening, science, poetry, music and inquisitive nature they left me with have made up for all else!

None of which has diddly-squat to do with clothes!

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 20:59

Yup, it’s a bloody nightmare to keep warm & do you have the split landing upstairs with more bleedin stairs?
It did come in handy last summer, when we have of 30c weather the high ceilings & huge windows made it very cool.

GinandGingerBeer · 08/02/2019 21:04

X posted with you lenBlush
I was responding to your previous post!

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 21:04

Fuzzy lol my dad was sooo useless at diy that me & dm did it all, it was dm that taught me how to paint n paper, I will have a go at anything I tiled the downstairs loo & have had go at a bit of plastering.
I’m not a very good gardener, Dh let’s me do the weeding but I’m not allowed to do any pruning as I get carried away & the plants end up about six inches high.

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 21:07

My DF, did instil my love of music he loved all sorts of music & had a beautiful tenor voice.

GinandGingerBeer · 08/02/2019 21:07

Not a split landing but another staircase up the attic. I avoid going up at all costs!

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 21:15

Crikey I would definitely need oxygen waiting for me, if I had another set of stairs😂

Laska2Meryls · 08/02/2019 21:19

temporary yes size don I have S in harems (but they are too big now)an d XS in Amies but really I am a 10/12 (14 on top)

YY everyone, that cami is far.far too big for me. I ordered the 16 actually because I was having a 'Yuk Big boob/fat' moment , but really a 12 vshould do, and a 10/12 skirt..

Photos are weird..... I look much bigger (I hope anyway) than IRL

Cherries I am sending you all my good vibes and wishes.. this is going to be a total transformation moment for you in your head(and yes in your body too, but it is whats in your head that's the biggest thing.) But even so, believe me, you are totally fabulous even so, and a complete heroine of mine..You have come so far ,and so brilliantly.. Well done Girl friend xx

Laska2Meryls · 08/02/2019 21:28

I live in a Naice 60s chalet house ,( ill post my boring hall tomorrow) , but its just beige and....well boringly nice.

TBH we have lived here 12 years . the previous owner gutted the place and made it open plan (it was known as the 'Scandinavian' house ). and we havent done much to it at all..but last year we broke the white /cream theme and have ventured on a grey and mustard /teal accent living room ,and I now have a notion to paint the dining room sage green,...

dontcallmelen · 08/02/2019 21:45

Yeahy go for it Laska when we moved here it was very very beige & for ages when I redecorated did very similar, but I love colour & it started to creep back in, but I do try to make sure the colours flow iykwim the hall is grey/mushroomy the kitchen a pale blue/mushroom/pink & the front room a sort of stone colour (but next on my list for a revamp & it’s going to be a greeny/grey) dd front room is similar to yours & is lovely.

miffy2 · 08/02/2019 22:16

Ladies I love your hallways. Mine is quite boring and at the moment littered with schoolbags and kitbags.

Gin I especially like your round mirror, may I ask where you found it?

GinandGingerBeer · 08/02/2019 22:32

It was from next @miffy. A good few years ago now but I have a cabinet which goes with it and I'm pretty sure they still do that same furniture range so maybe they still do the mirror?
Just managed to get a size 12 in the turn up jeans, the extra10 code has finished but They're still a bargain for £20.

Talisin · 08/02/2019 23:25

Argh! Somebody talk me out of these I can’t afford them! But they’re sooo pretty!

neveradullmoment99 · 08/02/2019 23:41
