I’ll try, is this what you wanted to see? The back covers half my bottom but I’m short I guess on someone taller it’ll still be below waist height?

Gorgeous Soy and I love your hair.

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 16:05

Yes the back is lovely and you can clearly see it covers any bra strap (my bras are industrial strength so you’ll be safe trust me). As to the curls thank you I haven’t refreshed in two days so I’m more wicked witch at the mo (they lose definition and just frizz up) but you’ve got light olive skin like me @never and once we’ve got a bit of sun/light tan the colour will really pop Smile

Laska2Meryls · 28/02/2019 16:06

Just googling dungarees ( even tough id never be able to wear themwith my norks ) and found this site Lucy and yak looks interesting .. The pink ones are quite cool

Laska2Meryls · 28/02/2019 16:09

Wow you look fab in that soy ..I wonder what it would look like with short pink hair ad v pale skin.. 🤔

Ellapaella · 28/02/2019 16:15

@SoyYo that's lovely! I vote you keep.

@Laska2Meryls I like the look of the Lucy and Yak ones in black...

Ellapaella · 28/02/2019 16:16

Did anyone ever order the Hush dungarees?

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 16:16

@laska pretty dungarees though like you I wouldn’t dare...(last time I wore dungarees I was a slim 18 year old)...as to the colour of the T it will match your spiky hair beautifully.
It’s a very forgiving beautiful bright pink, more fuschia so I reckon it’ll suit lots of skin shades

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2019 16:30

I have had the hush dungarees but only really wore them a few times and then sold them on. Had the cord ones and the black denim ones. Tbh, the black ones were lovely but they were very rigid on me without any stretch and tbh that made them uncomfy. The cord ones were nice but I rarely wore either. They were quite flattering esp on the bum!!! The only thing with them was the bib which was quite loose. I sized down to a 10 in both and it kind of sorted the problem. The 10 were a neat fit in the black but the cord ones were loads better and stretchy. I need to stop myself from buying them because I always ending wearing something else!

Ellapaella · 28/02/2019 16:33

The thing that's worries me most is that they would be very tight on the crotch! Having just done a bit of a google search on dungarees I can see quite a lot of potential for camel toe. Something I'd have to go and try on in store I think. I love the look of the Hush ones.

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2019 16:38

The hush ones in blue are an amazing colour. They do look gorgeous on the model. Honestly, never had camel toe with any dungarees. The reason you don't get that is cause you can adjust the buckle things on the straps.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2019 16:38

So you can actually make them sit lower at the crotch if you know what I mean!

Laska2Meryls · 28/02/2019 17:08

Soy are you going to go for the S in that Ombre T? , just thinking.. I am taller than you but your 34ff probably equates to my 36e . I am not sure what to go for ..

I dug out my pale pink Cest si Bon sweat today (remember Iook the cuffs off it so I could roll the sleeves ?) I had forgotten just how nice it was ....I may ve far too may Hush things..

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 17:39

laska I’ve ordered the S just to “see” based on feedback on the thread but tbh I’m worried it’ll be too tight at the chest, the M fits well at the boobs and I think the style is meant to be nice and loose, but it may just be too roomy so I’ll let you know by posting pics of the S too.
Oh I remember the C’est si Bon sweat! Like you I have a lot and do you remember the pale pink v neck star cotton jumper? I reckon that’s due an outing soon (though I’m never 100% sure I’m a pale pink kind of girl)

twosoups1972 · 28/02/2019 17:40

Soy do you use curly girl method on your hair? My youngest has curly hair and it's a whole new ball game for me. I had no idea how to treat it until recently (I brushed it Blush). We're now using curly girl friendly products and treating it gently. It's better than it was but still a work in progress. She hates the frizz!

wearenotacodfish · 28/02/2019 17:41

I have finally caved and done an order today. The blue love t shirt, and a Hortensia and Helena shirt. I am really tempted by dungarees but think I'm too short for them.

twosoups1972 · 28/02/2019 17:41

I am going to try the ombre tee too, might order both a S and M to see. I'm short (5'3") with 34E/F boobs. But there's no Hush discount at the moment right?

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 17:52

Yeay @cod this thread is so dangerous (but fun!) looking forward to hearing what you think when your lovely haul arrives

@soups indeed I follow the CG method and have done for years. It’s resulted in much more manageable and hydrated curls and mine have relaxed a lot but I think that’s also due to the menopause/hormonal changes. I can’t just condition wash and do use a no sulfate shampoo once a week as that works best for my curl type, but condition wash in between. I also get my hair cut by hairdressers who specialise in Deva hair cutting as my curl type needs layering otherwise it’s BIG (and not in a good way). Stick to it, your DD will thank you. PM me if you want advice on products/methods. One thing I find is no matter what method I follow my hair does frizz after 2/3 days,it’s just more manageable and in better condition.
Even with all that it’s easier to look after than trying to aspire to straight hair and I reckon the only way would be to have it chemically straightened. So I just go with what nature gave me. And NEVER EVER brush! Grin

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 17:54

@soups no discount Sad at the mo.
I’m same height as you, but 34FF chest Shock

miffy2 · 28/02/2019 18:06

Hi everyone. Sorry I have not been around, have hardly had any free time lately and also trying not to spend too much :)

I have been reading though and delighted to hear that Ella and Cherries are both recovering from the ops. Cherries fair play to you, a BR is no small undertaking but you won't know yourself once you are over the pain. I can only imagine the discomfort right now and I second alternating paracetamol with ibuprofen if you can, even for a few days.

Glad to hear the relevant DSs and DDs are also doing well, they have been on my mind.

I have been diagnosed with early stages of osteoarthritis, as I had a lump on my finger that sent me from the dermatologist to a hand surgeon. I am not quite sure what that will mean in the medium to long term but I need to start taking a particular supplement (CMO) and doing things a bit differently around the house in terms of not putting too much stress on my hands. Add that onto the precautions I am already taking for a prolapsed disc, peri-menopause and various other things like golfer's elbow and well, life is just a bundle of fun as you get older, don't you think?!?!

Moaning aside I think it may be time to treat myself to an article of clothing. I tried on a fabulous green leopard print dress in MV so I am just waiting for some kind of code because £££.

I am now very tempted by the Ombre T and the broderie dress which would be fab in summer with sandals. (I bought the M&S silver sandals that are a dupe of the Hush ones, and got them with 20% off too, even better)
I still like the idea of the Melanie top in black to go with my Marina skirts. And I am also quite taken by the new jumpers from Hush as I love a pink/orange combo. The Zebra jacquard jumper, or even the bright pink cashmere, what a beauty. Don't know what to do!

The Ombre T is lovely on you, Soy. Did anyone every have the white to pink ombre knit V jumper from Hush, I from the summer of 2016? I had it and wore it to death with white Holly jeans, it was my staple outfit for the summer. It ended up being way too big for me and got a bit grubby after too many washes, but it was so pretty.

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 18:18

Hola 👋 miffy qué bueno leerte!
Though I’m really sorry about the osteoarthritis diagnosis, yes we all seem to be going through our personal challenges this year...
I vaguely remember the ombré jumper but I didn’t buy because I hadn’t discovered this thread
Totally agree on the broderie dress and the pink cashmere jumper and other bright Hush offerings this season. The ombré T I thought look awful on me at first (but have been persuaded otherwise Wink) so do try!
On the MV dress post a link so we can look?

Kazplus2 · 28/02/2019 19:58

Hi. I'm about to place my first order. If anyone has a referral or discount they would like to share it would be much appreciated.

dontcallmelen · 28/02/2019 20:10

Still trying to catch up, Soy love love the ombré tee looks fabulous also the blouse, the dress is fine but not that exciting iykwim.
Ella glad recovery is going well, plenty of rest & pampering.
Cherries ouch ouch hope the pain improves very soon.
Laska the dungarees are very nice, Lucy & Yak seems to be getting popular brand has been mentioned a few times lately in a few fashion mags 😂 at revenge💩
Miffy hopefully if you have treatment early, will help especially learning to do tasks a bit differently taking the strain off etc.

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 20:30

@kaz I’ve pmed you a Hush code, hope it works!
Thank you melen Smile hope your dgd day went well today and you’re relaxing after all those playgroup times Wink
