Have a good day melen enjoy playgroup Smile

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 09:13

Morning! Hope you survive playgroup melen and sounds like your hair restyle was a success! Shoulder length is still very versatile but easier to manage too, hope you manage a selfie 🤳
@laska only just seen the MV T and agree ‘‘tis lovely! Yes on the Star shirt if it’s good enough for Alexandra it’s good enough for me Wink

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 09:19

And offred the tailored culottes look really good and will order as soon as another discount is available (wish I had last week with the 10% off but I was too sad still with DS problems...when I’m sad I loose my zest and desire for fashion)
He’s still doing okay, yesterday had driving lessons, today blood tests, tomorrow NHS counsellor appointment (next week it’ll be the private referral). Every now and then he goes into dark moods but it’s to be expected...overall much much better this week and keeping fingers crossed 🤞

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 10:03

Okay parcel arrived...mixed bag as is usual with Hush.
First the ombré v back T: beautiful colours, I’m wearing a M and you can see it’s pretty roomy BUT the cotton is super thin and it showed faintly the bra I was wearing so you’d have to wear a flesh coloured bra underneath and God help you if you get cold nipples as it’ll show them through no problem. Not my favourite look and unfortunately the neck is not really full scoop so again not flattering on my 34FF figure.
I took just one pic and a bit ashamed to post it. Such a shame!
Love the colours but as it is and @£40 back it goes Sad
I’m wearing with the pink stripe trousers in sale which are actually quite nice and tempted to keep...

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 10:08

Next the Starla shirt with the same sale pink stripe trousers. I knew it’d be a keeper as I tried it before and only returned due to £. I luvvs
Compare how this fits me (in a 12, it’s generous so size down if you’re E cup or less) and how much more flattering it looks on my podgy frame

neveradullmoment99 · 28/02/2019 10:08

I love that top on you @soyo. I say keep it. Its a bloody gorgeous colour. Why ashamed to post it? Its stunning!!!

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 10:09

Mmm 🤔 pics for Starla didn’t post try again

***Hushistas SS19 Part 1!!!!!***
SoyYo · 28/02/2019 10:10

Really never? Hmm
You must be seeing something I’m not...

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 10:13

Finally this dress, it’s cheap in the sale, quite thin cotton, like the colour but unsure it’s flattering or meh. Remember I’ve tons of clothes so not “needed”. Keep or Return?
I think I just look all boobs and not much else. (Envious of cherries now)

Oooooh! Love a new do @Melen! Wish I was brave enough! I get mine done about twice a year, and can practically feel my hairdresser’s bored eyeroll when I make an appointment. Not much you can do with cat hair.

justilou1 · 28/02/2019 10:22

Love it, @Soy! (very, very jealous of your hair, too, btw!)

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 10:43

Thank You Justi Smile

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 10:53

And never I didn’t mean to sound rude given your lovely comment, it’s just I thought (honestly) it looked a dreadful shape on me so I’ll show DH tonight and see what he thinks as sometimes we’re our own harshest critics. Thank you for being so nice Smile

Ellapaella · 28/02/2019 11:01

I'm on my sofa which is where I intended to stay pretty much for the next couple of days - DH and the boys are looking after me well. Feeling very tired and a bit sore but otherwise doing well.

Soyo I love the blouse and the ombré top on you - I agree with never and think the colours work well for you. Are the trousers new? They're lovely too. You're looking good 😍

My trainers arrived (the white stripe Hush ones) and on initial inspection look great, haven't tried them on yet, not really got the energy for that at the moment. I'll be keeping though and they seem good for wide feet Soyo if you're thinking about them.

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 11:06

Hi Ella! So pleased to read you and to know your recovery is going well.
Listen to your boys and let them spoil you for a change Flowers
Thank you for the lovely comment, yes the colours on the ombré T are Stunning and sounds like I was too quick to judge myself but it is very thin cotton, on the positive side not at all clingy so it does hide bumps well.
Yes the pink stripe trousers were on the sale, I grabbed a S and they fit me fine, very nice lighter fabric they’re definitely keepers! 👌

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 11:07

And good to know on stripe trainers for wide feet! When you feel up to it post a pic xxx

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 11:14

Ella do you have Netflix? If so and to pass sofa time I recommend their short tv series “Russian Doll” and we’re now watching the “Umbrella Academy” which is also really great 👍

NotAnActualSheep · 28/02/2019 11:16

Oh - your hair sounds lovely len. V jealous of swish. Hope the playgroup goes well!

justilou - it was me with the rayon query. You see - that was what i was a bit worried about. I'm not sure if I've had anything in the fabric before, and I do get a bit sweaty... (I'm so lovely...). I'm definitely moving more generally to cotton, bamboo & linen (and even viscose sometimes) - though me and irons aren't best of friends so I do radiate a crumpled bag lady chic most of the time occasionally. But my thinking was that a loose, wafty dress in a sweaty fabric may not be as bad as something closer fitting. I may just have to try and see...

soy - I'm afraid i agree with never Grin I think the ombre top looks lovely! Not a bad shape at all (the tighter sleeves I think counteract the boxiness) and the neck looks quite wide and I think suits you (though can't really see from the photo). But the winner are the colours -absolutely fantastic on you! Have you tried it with some blue denim or something - I always think bright colours look better against that than black. Though if you are annoyed at the quality of the cotton I understand it won't be filling you with love... The trousers look great too and the starla is a definite keeper!! (yes - that shape is better - but it's obviously a shirt for a different occasion!) I like the dress too - it looks like it hangs really nicely - but honestly, for the extra £10 I still think the ombre shirt is better!

NotAnActualSheep · 28/02/2019 11:17

Oh - I missed your post ella - so glad you're back and taking it easy! And good news about the trainers. Grin

Ellapaella · 28/02/2019 11:37

@SoyYo yes I have Netflix, eldest ds has told me I must watch umbrella academy and Russian doll is on my list as well, I've heard it's good. I'm watching 'dirty John' at the moment which is quite gripping.

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 11:45

Thank you @not! Yes I have to return something so maybe I keep the ombré T and send back the dress? Totally agree jeans will be good with it, was just trying on with the sale pink stripe trousers that came in the same parcel (lazy me!) but actually with the pink stripe to match it wasn’t bad either. I think I’ll have to try with a different bra as the cotton is thin and I don’t wear padded bras (hate them actually) so the only place it clings a little is my generous chest and I had visions of me with sticky out nipples visible through the thin cotton fabric...not a look I want to cultivate. It is super comfy and as long as the overall shape doesn’t make me look ginormous then I can work with it.

Btw the green stripe culottes (sale) are going back, they were too long thus defeating the point. The Flowery PJ bottoms are keepers as @laska said they’re lovely cotton and super comfy even though I bought S as all they had left in sale stock.

On the rayon fabric it’ll be fine as even with global warming it’s never that hot in GB in the summer and as you said it’s a very floaty style. I think the colours are so beautiful it’s definetely worth a try (from memory the Greek widow dress last year on similar style was cotton though).

So I’m still dying by PowerPoint here. 😑
Hope you all have a great day

SoyYo · 28/02/2019 11:53

@Ella oh will watch “dirty John” next then as it wasn’t in my radar...I can only manage one series at a time and indeed our DS1 recommended Russian Doll. The heroines hair is just like mine! Grin

justilou1 · 28/02/2019 12:29

@sheep - just remember it’s VERY humid where I live. Almost exactly like Florida’s climate. (Minus the orange bloke, thank goodness.) If it’s dry heat you’re packing for, maybe rayon would be okay. Personally, I haven’t ironed since I was pregnant with my eldest kid, and wasn’t spatially aware enough to know where my new edges were. It looked like I’d tried to perform a DIY c-section. She’s nearly 15 now and has ironed her own uniforms since her dad taught her I was a liability!

Laska2Meryls · 28/02/2019 12:36

GRRRRR!Angry Angry anyone else get really annoyed when companies dont do free returns?!!
I wouldnt usually purchase from them but missed this one .. it had free delivery and they lauded their easy return process on the website and stupidly i didn't check it out properly .. .. Hmm well i'm returning (expensive coat ) as the size is huge compared t heir advertised measurements , but they aint getting any more of my money ( I was going to reorder in smaller too!) ..

A 'mountainwear' co in Newcastle.. ( I thought it was a mistake so rang and the bloke was right snotty on the phone also ) .. so when you are better Ella please can you take your dog in their and get him to do a great pile of 💩 on their floor..

#MrsReasonable

Laska2Meryls · 28/02/2019 12:41

soy I think you should size down in the ombre top I think its just a bit baggy on you but its lovely .. , and remember its for summer so thin will be ok. (it will look fab in the evening in Spain right now though!)

I do think I have seen you in more flattering things than that dress tbh , but the Starla blouse is really fab on you and the trousers .Which ones are they ?

Glad you like the PJs ..
