cherries hope boobs are feeling ok today. You are truly inspiring walking so much soon after surgery. How long does it take to walk 5K out of interest? I haven't running for ages, had a busy half term last week and lots to do this week. Must get back!

On the clothes front - Beatrice jumper - it is HUGE even sizing down with sort of batwing sleeves. It's a lovely colour but just not right for me. Oakland top in both the green and yellow - both going back unfortunately. Yellow is far too bright, the green is a lovely colour but the overall shape is a bit too casual. Susanna dress I will probably keep - it's expensive for what is essentially a t-shirt dress but I think I will get a lot of wear from it. Nice colour too.

There's not an awful lot from the new drop that I like the look of other than the ombre v-back tee! Will it be this season's Meryl I wonder? Grin

dontcallmelen · 27/02/2019 15:55

Soups that’s a shame about the jumpers/tops, at least you are happy with the dress, this is what annoys me about Hush & many others the sizing is often ridiculous.
😂 at the new meryl, I think you may be right lots of us admiring it.

SoyYo · 27/02/2019 15:59

And I’ve ordered it! Grin
But no parcel yet stamps foot I have nice clean gnashers though

twosoups1972 · 27/02/2019 16:00

Shall we have a meet up all sporting the ombre tee? Grin

dontcallmelen · 27/02/2019 16:02

Aww well clean gnashes is lovely Soy is the ombré tee meant to be coming today?

twosoups1972 · 27/02/2019 16:05

Oohh looking forward to hearing soy's review of the ombre tee Smile

I've noticed that the model wearing the ombre tee is much more flat chested than a lot of us on here seem to be....wonder how it will sit on the boobs?

What does everyone think about the rainbow ottoman jumper and the Molly top?

dontcallmelen · 27/02/2019 16:15

Soups I prefer the jumper to the top, which is pretty but it’s a lot of money for a top I think.

SoyYo · 27/02/2019 16:42

Indeed I was supposed to get today as I’m a “friend” but when I finished the transaction it said delivery on Thursday (was hoping it would still come today though)
Yes for £40 it’ll have to be pretty good as a T shirt but it is long sleeved and usually I suit orange/bright pink but as soups says my boobs may not suit it at all! Sad

@melen I ❤️ Levi jeans and have a few old pairs which I got in the US a few years back but still going strong. What style did your lovely DS get you?

SoyYo · 27/02/2019 16:46

The only other long sleeved T I paid £40 was the petrol blue star long sleeved T from A/W and it has been worth every penny, in and out of the wash on a weekly basis but that style with a v neck does tend to be more forgiving on the norkage front.

dontcallmelen · 27/02/2019 17:08

Soy they are high rise skinny/sculpt ones, going to have to get them shortened though I might get them done as ankle grazer length so would be good with trainers/flip flops.
Yy the orange/bright pink those colours suit me as well, I think that’s why I’m so drawn to it.

ilovecherries · 27/02/2019 17:51

I popped into Fat Face in the village and got a pair of dungarees for £25 in the sale. Almost identical to the Toast ones at £150, and if I don’t like them after a couple of wears, then I would probably recoup most of that 25 quid on ebay. Well chuffed :)

soups, it takes me 45 minutes to walk 5k, demonstrating how totally rubbish my running is, as it takes me 39 minutes to run the same route!

NotAnActualSheep · 27/02/2019 18:06

lol @ the ombre tee being the new meryl! It is really nice and a lovely shape. Oddly, I generally suit bright pink - but really not orange (and i'm a bit concerned at cherries saying the zebra print is rather orangey...) so I think it may make me look ill - but I may give it a go though as it is such a happy top. I may reserve judgement til the boob consensus comes through, though...it does look a little short, maybe - and I have had tops like that that do make me look tent-like and I'm not even that big, i don't think...

YY to the sizing being so utterly weird, though - i wish they could be a bit more consistent. There's only so far being oversized goes before it is a totally different size..!

For those of you interested in dungarees/ pinafores - I've just popped to sainsbury's on my walk, and had to sit on my hands (metaphorically) at their new season clothes... there's some lovely stuff. Including some dungarees in a petite fit (paging len) (they have a normal fit too) and a rather nice denim jumpsuit (dungarees, basically) and a pinafore dress. Not the same level as the toast ones cherries - but rather nice.

(In other news, someone told me that Edinburgh is getting a toast store. I am unreasonably excited by this - but also - nooooooo - i think this will be very bad news for my bank account...)

Right - I'm off for some "torture with hardcore abs work.." ((c) soy) - I'll catch up afterwards Smile

Offredismysister · 27/02/2019 18:06

I’ve been into my local JL today & tried on a few bits. Not much of the new collection was in, but winners were:-

The broderie jersey dress, I just fell in love with it. It hangs lovely. However, it is huge, so sizing down is a must. I’m also not sure its worth £65.

The jet frill top looked amazing, even though I am not small of chest.

The tailored culottes, they hang well & can be dressed up or down.

The leopard and star clutch bags priced at £29, very nice and soft. I was expecting them to be plastic & cheap looking, but they weren’t.

Things I wasn’t so keen on, the Stella leopard star tee. It’s very thin & cheap looking for the price. Same with the lucky tee in green. The leopard blazer was also awful.

Offredismysister · 27/02/2019 18:09

I also have a £20 off mention me code.
If anyone would like, please pm me.

SoyYo · 27/02/2019 18:10

Ooh well done @cherries! Wishing you happy dungaree wearing days
@melen I’ve heard that Levi style is super flattering. I don’t know why I can’t wear high rise styles myself, my old Levis are skinny boot cuts/mid rise and I was lucky to get them in petite length but yes cut yours to crop ankle length and they’ll be fab.

SoyYo · 27/02/2019 18:18

Thanks for reporting back Offred as usual with Hush a mixed bag, yes on the Stella T’s specially the thin summer cotton. They’re usually vastly reduced in the sales and that seems to be the best time to buy (I have a white Stella T with yellow star would never have paid full price though). I agree with you on the leopard blazers, they even look pants on the models! Interesting about the dress and clutch bags.

@not hope your Pilates instructor is less of a sadist than mine Grin since moving to the advanced group I’m struggling with her crazy manoeuvres (she’s renamed our group “strength Pilates” but I’d say “masochists Pilates” is more apt).

Laska2Meryls · 27/02/2019 18:24

Offred The green Lucky T was the first thing i bought!!I love it so much.. but yes it is thin, like the cotton slub Ts but not so much as as last years the tiger T (which I also love ).. Ive not worn the green one yet , but the others all have washed well..

I have read several reviews saying they tend to go into holes quickly..But I havent had that problem with any of mine..

SoyYo · 27/02/2019 18:39

Found the pic of Alexandra Shulman wearing the starry shirt I’m sure Hush copied. I spotted her wearing it in some royal family doc on telly after Xmas and thought blimey that’s very like the Starla Hush shirt I ordered and returned due to ££ (but shall now be mine at the far more palatable £55 sale price) Wink

cherries dungarees sound great! I don't think your running sounds bad, isn't it better to go at a slower pace and have the stamina to continue? After doing C25K, I STILL can't run for 30 minutes without slowing to a walk for a few mins rest.

offred thanks for reporting back, I really like the look of the jet frill top

Laska2Meryls · 27/02/2019 20:25

The Jet top was in my 'Pick of the bunch' predictions at the start of the season. I love it, but I just feel too old/raddled/wrinkly at 61 (61!! FFS! how did that happen?) to wear something like that ..

Soy Go you, rocking the Alexandra Shulman look! .. I just sadly dont think I will ever have a posh enough 'do' to wear the Starla.. it is lovely though

Laska2Meryls · 27/02/2019 20:31

BTW have you seen this MV zebra tee ? I really like it in the neutral colourway but its expensive.. (linen though.)

NotAnActualSheep · 27/02/2019 21:23

Lol soy! No, my instructor isn't any more sadistic than expected for a Pilates instructor... she's really funny, actually. Someone was getting annoyed at her comments in the middle of a pose today, and said, "look - we can either laugh, or breathe...it's your choice.." Grin But I'm definitely the least competent in the group. Blush and seem to have a bit of an issue with left and right, apparently...Enjoying it, though, and I think it's doing me good.

The Starla definitely does look like a dupe for that top. It is gorgeous.

offred thanks for the feedback! That broderie dress looks lovely. But it says it is dry clean only?! It's only a cotton dress fgs...you'd have hoped that would have stood up to a bit of water. And the jett top is really nice too. Laska no way are you too old!! I think the sleeves would look lovely - they look drapey rather than frilly, IMO.

Love that zebra linen tee too. I know linen creases to death, but it just feels so nice...

soups I meant to say a pity the jumpers didn't work for you, but glad the dress is a keeper. It does look a beautiful colour. I really like the Molly top in both prints, but Yy, it is expensive for a posh t shirt (basically).

len bless your DH for buying the levis. They sound really nice as ankle grazers. He's a keeper Grin. How did your hair come out BTW?

cherries well done on the bargain dungarees! I bet you'll look amazing in them! Good luck for tomorrow and the dressing reveal...

justilou1 · 28/02/2019 07:17

I can't remember who asked about rayon as a summer fabric. I'm not a fan where I live. It's floaty and washes and hangs easily, but it doesn't breathe. I'm a sweaty Betty, so I don't wear it - preferring natural, higher-maintenance fabrics.

dontcallmelen · 28/02/2019 08:54

Will catch up bit later, have dgd this morning & off too a playgroup😢
Hair is very swishy & quite a bit shorter, just touching the top of my shoulders, if I can get a half decent pic will post.

dontcallmelen · 28/02/2019 08:56

Bugger playgroup, want to leg it to sainsburys try on dungarees.
