Are there any Hush discounts around at the moment?

Talisin · 21/02/2019 11:46

FBR19 should still be working for 10% off non-sale stuff I think.

Huffthepuff · 21/02/2019 12:21

Thanks for the advice all. I've ordered some Topshop jeans to see if they work better as normally their jeans are a good fit for me. I'll feel better sending back the Hush ones knowing I have more coming from elsewhere 😂
Just had an email through, 10% off ends Sunday

NotAnActualSheep · 21/02/2019 13:45

Hello all - I feel behind the times again Smile. Loving hearing about all your buys and potential buys. And also the random advice on clothes dying and DVT. What a lot of skills and knowledge we have, combined Grin - such a lovely thread....

I'm considering whether I want to buy anything at the end of Feb, and I think I do...so it seems I haven't cured my clothes addiction at all. I love the oakland mint top that cherries and doors have (and soups and ella are considering?) and also those stripey canvas trainers. And I'll probably try the blue santana and cami too, and possibly the short-sleeved shirt in the same blue - that colour is so lovely and happy. I'm also seriously considering this jumpsuit laska, I blame you and the 15% off It looks so wafty and comfortable. Please talk me out of it. (Not sure the colour will suit me, but it is lovely).

soups - I'm so glad your DD is feeling a bit better and that you have a plan going forward. That will take some pressure off for all of you. And good comments from len too! Flowers Star I really like that red tie dress too. I think because it has the split it won't feel like a "long" dress if you see what I mean. Again, the colour is lovely am not adding that to next week's shopping list, oh no

huff - glad you have got some lovely things in your recent parcel Grin. i think if you're not 100% sure about the jeans you're right to send them back. I find hush jeans a bit of a mixed bag, to be honest. Though there aren't any that I love love, I do have a couple that are pretty nice (the frayed star ones from the summer - which I really should think about bringing back out, and some light denim cropped ones), and a couple that are OK and kept because they fit a jeans hole at the time and were cheap. But recently I have tried a few which have been a truly awful fit on me... "Consistency - we've heard of it"...

soy - I'm so glad you had a lovely holiday, though it probably seems like a long time ago already! And hope your DH has recovered. And also your DS - as you say, still early days.

cherries - I really hope today goes (went?) well and you get the thumbs up! Your new wardrobe sounds like it is shaping up nicely...and glad you're sleeping a bit better. Must be a huge weight off your mind I guess, as well as physically Grin so having that worry taken away must be helping your sleep...

laska - hope the boiler repair isn't too ££££. Don't they know you need the money for important things?! Am excited on your behalf for the toast delivery....but yy, they take aaaaaaages.

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 14:08

Laska hope the boiler is just a repair & not a new one £££ don’t bare thinking about.
Not hello, I like the style of the jumpsuit, but I’m not sure about the colour depends on your colouring I think.
Still no spend here, but I am getting my hair cut & hilighted next week my hairdresser charges an obscene amount, but he is the only one who seems to ‘get’ my hair & I can usually go at least four months between cuts as it grows out so well, but as I haven’t spent anything for a while I can afford it this time.

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 14:09

Soy hope all is well.

twosoups1972 · 21/02/2019 14:12

Waves to sheep Smile

Right I have put a Hush order in with 10% off - red Susanna dress, blue Beatrice jumper and the Oakland raglan in both colours.

Today I am wearing a Hush raglan long sleeved tee in wine bought in the sale. It's its first outing and I'm not sure. I think I feel a bit too casual wearing it but maybe it will be better with a nice jacket over it.

ilovecherries · 21/02/2019 16:58

I’m back from hospital, totally shattered. Downside of not being able to find a local hospital! Had the official unveiling but I couldn’t really see anything except bruising, and I’m all wrapped up again for another week. Still no shower! Had a scan, and consultant says everything looks great and he is really pleased with how it’s going, and I’m just a bit of a mess of bruising and swelling because of the extent of the reduction. Hopefully next week I will get the wraps off and get lightweight removable (by me on a daily basis) dressings.

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 17:15

Glad it all went well & surgeon is happy, feet up & watch something good on telly, hopefully swelling will continue to subside.

FuzzyPuffling · 21/02/2019 19:30

That sounds like good news cherries even if it's a long job. Not having a shower would bug me loads too. Can you sit in a very shallow bath? (I know it's not the same)

I'm on no showers but only for a day - I had the steroid injection in my hip today. It feels as though I have been kicked by a horse but Dh is looking ate me (payback time!). I really hope it works.

FuzzyPuffling · 21/02/2019 19:31

After, not ate. Gah.

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 19:34

Aww Fuzzy hope it didn’t hurt to much, hope you feel better very soon glad Dh is looking after you, milk it for all it’s worth😘

FuzzyPuffling · 21/02/2019 20:26

It wasn't as bad as I expected, thank you len. Half way through he Dr asked me if I was ok and the pedant in me replied "it feels like someone has stuck a needle into my hip". Possibly not helpful.

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 20:43

😂 Fuzzy that’s the sort of thing I would want to say as well, hopefully you will the benefit very soon.

ilovecherries · 21/02/2019 20:51

Had a bit of a snooze and feeling a bit less shattered. I couldn’t use my arms to push myself out of the bath, so it’s the sink for another week. My scars (and therefore the dressings) are so high up my sides and under my arms that even having an oxter wash is difficult. I’m feeling good though, and I knew it would be a trial for a few weeks. I think the reduction has just been so big (and I’m still not tiny) that I have to accept my wounds will need extra care.

NotAnActualSheep · 21/02/2019 20:54

Glad you're recovering cherries and that everything seems to be doing what it's supposed to. But what a shame about the showers! Needs must, I suppose. And ouch fuzzy... poor you, but yay fuzzyDH.

soups looking forward to hearing how you get on with the clothes - esp the dress! But I think len has talked some sense into me with the jumpsuit...I'm really not 100% sure my colouring will suit it, and I don't really need it enough to try anyway. Plus, if I get loads and loads of summery things I will guarantee that I'll jinx the weather so it pours down between now and October (when it pours down anyway...). So I'll take one for the team and hold off until I know that the weather is going to be good enough for a bit to get wear out of it Grin still going to try a few hush things though, which are more versatile for crappy weather and substantially cheaper...

NotAnActualSheep · 21/02/2019 20:58

Oh yes, I have that wine raglan soups and I know what you mean! It's a bit too sweatshirt-y to easily wear under something smarter I find, though a jacket could work. TBH, it doesn't bother me really as the colour is so lovely Smile and I wear it either while slobbing around inside, or bundled up in a coat outside, generally...

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 21:29

Not yeahy I have managed to keep you on the no spend decked with fairy lights a tiny bit longer😂

neveradullmoment99 · 21/02/2019 21:50

Well I did a bit of a spend...on an exercise bike lol!!!! So that's my mission :) Still to be put together so will probably start using it at the weekend.
@Cherries, glad you got on well today. Sounds like it is quite far away and definitely adding to your tiredness. It will be so worth it when it is all healed and I am sure it wont take that long. A bit of a downer about the no showering. When our shower broke, I just sat I a shallow bath and felt sooooo much better after a wash.
Excited to hear about everybodies purchases. still not heard from Hush with regards to the refund on my trainers. Don't know what it is with me and footwear right now but my new fly London boots have a broken buckle. Actually its come unstitched. Annoyed as I will now have to send back and they are OOS.

Ellapaella · 21/02/2019 22:03

Never shopping on an exercise bike sounds impressive!
Does anyone have the 10% code please? I want to put an order in but didn't get the email that you all seem to have got. Many thanks 😘

ilovecherries · 21/02/2019 22:05

FBR19, ella

Ellapaella · 21/02/2019 22:05

Thanks Cherries

ilovecherries · 21/02/2019 22:13

Yeah, it’s a 90 mile round trip, never, which is really quite far when you feel crap! And I can’t drive yet so DH has to take time off work. However, it’s what I wanted and I’m happy, I’m just finding that when I get tired I’m ending up a bit weepy at the stuff I can’t do. DH had put the new box of paracetamol on top of the kitchen cabinet without thinking - it’s where we always store them. But I ended up snivelling as I couldn’t reach them after he’d gone back to work. But I then decided I’d walk into the village to buy more so at least I got my exercise!

justilou1 · 22/02/2019 01:47

@soups - I'm glad your daughter seems better, and I can't imagine how painful it must have been reading that she had suicidal thought. I hope between you and her doctor and counsellors, she can get on top of those! Big hugs! (I am thinking of maybe specialising in mental health when I finish nursing. There is a lot of need for women in particular in the industry - especially those with a little bit of compassion and some life experience behind them!)

Now I have a fashion-related question for you lovely ladies! Are you familiar with these particular Uniqlo items? We are a bit behind you, of course... (Light years in many areas, but maybe that's just my opinion...). Our A/W19 stuff is just beginning to potter into stores, and I'm wondering about these jeans... They're from the Uniqlo U collection which would have been from your AW18, I suspect. (They'd be just going out - or would be on sale by now.). They're very 70's, and the reviews seem all over the place. I know I'd have to take them up because I'm not tall. (Stupid gene pool....) I just think they'd be a nice change from all my skinnies. I'm also eyeing off quite a few of the jumpers to add to my extensive knitwear addiction. (Which is ridiculous, as we get about five minutes of winter - although as houses are made to let the cold in, we really bloody need the knitwear.)
