I like the style of the Astoria jumper in the same blue as your one cherries but even from the photos you can see how thin it is (and they describe it as semi-sheer) ..not worth £79 IMO.

Seasalt sandals arrived ! The rose gold originals are definitely keepers, I am not sure about the olive ones , I really need to see them in daylight, and to compare them with the mustard ones coming from Toast .

Soy you mean your Dh hasn't gone down with Manflu? lying around groaning and demanding tea and sympathy He must be a rare one!! .. Don't worry about email.. its fine. xx

justlou thanks for that info . I hope you are enjoying getting back to study. I just loved getting back to learning when I went back to uni as a mature student

justilou1 · 19/02/2019 20:42

I am loving it! With the exception of one person only, the group of people I am studying with are FABULOUS! It makes it exciting and we all buoy each other along! Meanwhile, @Laksa - I think it would be almost unheard of to get DVT these days after surgery!

ilovecherries · 20/02/2019 11:15

Morning hushistas! I’m knackered today, slept really well last night as well. Wearing zebra leggings and black wide jersey top - which even in the Xs I now have a LOT of room in, and a long charcoal cardigan from H&M. I think this might be a sofa day today, watching Cold Feet on catch up - rarely watch actual TV so hadn’t realised there was a new series. My bruising is seriously impressive now but it’s all be virtually pain free. I think I’ve maybe had 8 paracetamol in total in the last week. First check up tomorrow and official unveiling when dressings come off - they may need to be redressed depending on the wounds, and to be honest, I feel I little nervous of them not having any padding!

gubbsywubbsy · 20/02/2019 12:22

Thought I'd let you know I just received this .. it's bnwt and lovely .. very flattering .. I contacted them before I bought it and they do returns and exchanges . Look forward to the better weather 💃

Sounds like it's all going well Cherries - so pleased for you. A sofa day watching Cold feet sounds lovely - I get wardrobe envy when I watch it. Sending lots of positive healing vibes your way, so pleased that it's all gone without complication and mostly pain free Thanks You have a great excuse to add to your wardrobe now!

I had a browse at All Saints earlier and they have some really lovely dresses on for spring.

ilovecherries · 20/02/2019 17:53

It’s a pretty dress, gubsy. I ordered mine from the hush sale, and really like it.

Ellapaella · 20/02/2019 19:01

@Laska2Meryls and@neveradullmoment99 I think I've previously seen you both talk about the raglan tops. I really like the colour of This
one, just wonder what you think of quality and washability?

Ellapaella · 20/02/2019 19:02

Sorry I'll try link again https://www.hush-uk.com/womenswear/daywear/tops/oaklandwashedraglantopyucca.htm

Ellapaella · 20/02/2019 19:03

How annoying, don't know why links are not working...
It's this one

DoorsAndWater · 20/02/2019 19:10

I’ve got that too in the sea green @ellapaella it’s beautiful, I love the colour and it reminds me a lot of the yellow love sweater too, I also ordered the yellow one but sent it back as it was quite bright on

neveradullmoment99 · 20/02/2019 19:37

I haven't got that @Ella but I think the colour is gorgeous. I think it will be lovely. The only issue I have is the shortness of it. Is it short @Doors?

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 20/02/2019 19:47

I’ve got that Ella, just arrived this morning. It’s a woven (ie not fleecy) sweatshirt fabric, and a lovely colour. The bands round the arms are a bit plasticy but I do like it and will probably keep as it’s nice and soft on my chest. Not quite feeling up to photos yet, but I got the S, and it’s a loose but not massively oversized fit.

Laska2Meryls · 20/02/2019 20:22

I like that one Ella' but havent bought it ..

cherries I wore pretty much the same outfit today (only the charcoal wide top with zebra leggings and l/l charcoal vest under! (i bet you looked much better in yours though! I hope the check up goes well? how are you sleeping?still having to sleep propped up ? . I would find that really difficult .. But i do tend to sleep on my back though..

My bargain Ebay Hush shorts arrived today .I am really pleased with them and they look unworn.. They are the longer leg but I shall shorten them

neveradullmoment99 · 20/02/2019 20:24

Yes, goodluck @cherries for tomorrow:)

ilovecherries · 20/02/2019 20:37

Thanks guys. I am wincing a bit at the thought of getting the dressings peeled off but am sure it will be fine. I’m quite swollen though - much bigger than I was immediately post op but I guess that’s just part of the healing process. I’m quite tired (though I walked for three miles today at a very gentle pace), and I’m actually sleeping better than I have for a long time although last night I must have slipped off my pillows and woke up curled on my side so my right boob was a bit unhappy all morning. DH still sleeping in DDs room though, we are both too anxious about me getting bumped during the night. I’m feeling good though - a lot better than I was last Wed night, that’s for sure! My shoulders already feel a lot better than they used to.

Huffthepuff · 20/02/2019 22:14

Hello Hush friends
I've now taken receipt of 2 Hush packages of the latest stuff. Naughty...
Agnes jeans are definitely going back. They looked horrendous. Black ivy dress is lovely as expected so will keep. Should be very useful.
Boyfriend jeans, hmm, they should look good but not sure they do. If I lost 5lbs they'd look a whole lot better and would enable me to bend over to tie shoelaces.
Grey wide jersey top is fab, very comfortable and a lovely colour.
White canvas Henley trainers are great, very comfortable and will get loads of wear.
Too dark for photos unfortunately.
Do the boyfriend jeans loosen up at all? Struggling with the low rise after years of wearing mum jeans. Just not sure they do anything for me but the denim is gorgeous!

Ellapaella · 20/02/2019 22:24

Thanks doors and cherries for info on raglan. Think I'm going to order.
Huff i don't have those b'friend jeans but do have the star ones from last year and yes they definitely loosen up after a few wears.

Huffthepuff · 20/02/2019 22:36

Thanks Ella, the star ones look incredible on you. These do not have the same effect on me 😂 They are also very long? I'm 5.6 and hand to turn them up twice to get them to my lower ankle. I've got short legs tho

twosoups1972 · 21/02/2019 08:28

Such is the power of this thread, I want to order something now! Love the look of the Oakland top in both colours. I've also been eyeing up the Susanna tie dress in red, anyone tried it? I normally stick to above the knee dresses because I think long looks frumpy on me, but I can see this dress looking good with white trainers and a denim jacket.

Ellapaella · 21/02/2019 08:34

Agree with your style ideas about that dress soups, think it would look fab with trainers and a denim jacket.

Huff if you like the style of b'friend jeans but aren't happy with the Hush ones then can I recommend Superdry, Levi's and Gap? All of them do some great ones.

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 09:32

Cherries good luck with the check up, sounds as though the recovery is going really well.
I really like the colour of the sweatshirt, very pretty.
huff most of haul sounds very good, yy boyfriend jeans I’m still searching for a pair that suits me, the hush ones were way too long on me, MV did some last year in petite but I didn’t try them also I think Topshop & Gap May do petite ones as well.
Soup really good way of styling the dress.

Laska2Meryls · 21/02/2019 09:57

Huff* I found the boyfriend jeans from last year have not really softened , but it could just be that I haven't worn them enough! I bought them not long before we had all that great weather last summer and Blush had rather forgot that I have them ..

Am hoping my Toast parcel will arrive today (but they always seem to take ages.. ) I am not deciding on the olive saltwaters until i see the mustard ones..

ill try and post a photo of them and the rose gold ones later but really should be working right now !

*cherries as s always I am in awe of you, I really need to get out walking and I have absolutely no excuse you did 3 miles yesterday , even post op !!

Working at home but also waiting for the boiler man .. This is going to be expensive...

twosoups1972 · 21/02/2019 10:46

cherries good luck today, I'm sure it will go well.

Thank you to everyone who has asked about my dd. She had 2 weeks at school before half term which seemed to do her good. I went up for Parents Evening on the Friday before half term and talked to all her teachers. We've all decided that the best course of action is for dd to do just one A Level this year (English) and finish her BTEC. That should take the pressure off considerably and will give her some qualifications to boost her. She can then have a year at home to do the other 2 A Levels knowing she has already done her UCAS and has a place at her chosen uni. She's had a nice half term at home but is keen to get back to school! I don't want to tell myself just yet that she's 'ok' but I think things are looking up. That said, I was really upset to read the letter from the psychiatrist about her having suicidal thoughts Sad and I just can't get over that at the moment.

dontcallmelen · 21/02/2019 10:50

Soups glad that dd seems a bit better & have a clear plan for exams etc.
I know it’s really hard, especially when you see something like that in black & white much harder than the spoken word, but in a way it’s good that she has expressed those thoughts rather than not, at least that way her psychiatrist is aware & it can be spoken about & those feelings explored 💐

twosoups1972 · 21/02/2019 11:13

Thank you melen

gubbys really like that dress, it's a lovely colour
