Soy oh no poor Dh, hope he recovers soon so glad you have a lovely time & v v glad Ds is home lock stock n barrel, hopefully things will start to improve for him🤞🏻
Look forward to the pics of new buys.
Fuzzy yeah happy days, definitely have a go at dyeing Laska always gets great results with her dye projects.

ilovecherries · 18/02/2019 19:52

Lovely to see you back, soy, was just thinking about you today. Glad your DS is safely home now as well.

I’m not sure what size I will finally end up, we may still be in contention for most boobilicious - I was a bit Shock today as I am measuring at a 32G right now. Having said that, loads of swelling yet and I think I look tiny compared to before. There is a limit to what can be achieved though while still preserving the nipple and surgeon said he went right to that limit, and it wouldn’t have been responsible to attempt to go smaller. He is still hopeful it will be a D at the end of it all. I feel so comfortable though, I won’t let my satisfaction with the end result to be influenced by a letter. I’ve pottered all day (still terrified by the thought of DVTs so trying not to sit about) and have had two short walks outside so I’m pleased with my progress. :)

fuzzy, sounds like a very satisfactory dress day :)

ilovecherries · 18/02/2019 19:53

And I will stop talking about my boob job soon - I’m just high on relief right now!

dontcallmelen · 18/02/2019 19:58

Aww cherries chat away, must be life changing for you I would imagine, If it was me I would be banging on about for years.

Laska2Meryls · 18/02/2019 20:03

What are DVT s Cherries? oh hang on---deep vein thrombosis? i dont know much about any of this , how can that happen after an op?

Welcome home sSoy I hope your DS's didnt wreck the place whilst you were away!
Sorry to hear about MrSoy and hope he is better soon ( and doesnt pass it on to you) .. A cabin cold no doubt

dontcallmelen · 18/02/2019 20:06

Laska I meant to ask as your Ds popped into my head, how is his job going good I hope.

Laska2Meryls · 18/02/2019 20:07

fuzzy i would go for a shade not too different from the poriginal , as the stitching will probably stay the original colour ( as it is most likely to be polyester.
So blue may be best if its grey now, and expect contrast stitch .

so my dyed orange faces T being originally white still had the white stitches , but i shortened the sleeves and also took out the stitches on the hem, where it was most obvious.

ilovecherries · 18/02/2019 20:32

laska, it’s down to a combo of immobility in theatre/reduced mobility after and physiological changes that take place within your body as it responds to surgery. The initial clot often happens in the leg or pelvis but the big risk is that a part breaks off and migrates to the lungs/brain/heart. I had been determined that I’d be out of bed within two hours post op but I was just so unwell after the anaesthetic that I kept fainting so was in bed much longer than I felt safe with. I had special long boot things on that mechanically pump your legs to keep things moving and I had heparin injections while I was in hospital. Now I’m home though, I’m trying to pretty much keep moving all day, and I have to wear special stockings for a month.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/02/2019 20:32

Good evening everyone :)
Glad you are home @cherries and feeling better.
@Laska - the toast dress looks nice. My favourite would be the pinstripe one and I would definitely size down.
@Soyo - Glad you are back. I had that rubbish flu type bug and it makes you feel really lousy. Hope your dh feels better soon. So many bugs atm. Glad you ds is back with you.
Not sure who it was but the jumpsuit looks fab on you! Lovely print and the shape suits you very well.
Well as for me, nothing much to report! I did win a whitestuff denim dress from ebay and a nice little velvet pinny. Both for about £60. That's all the spends that I have had atm. Had the denim one on today to work with my tights and chunky shoes. It felt good to wear it. Havent really been looking at hush stuff. Nothing really grabs me. That suits me fine as tbh I am a bit fed up spending money on clothes atm. Maybe its cause I feel I really need to lose a few 1lbs so its kind of putting me off ordering. Anyway, on a fast day today and have been ok. Next one is Wednesday.

@ellapaella, not heard from you for a while. Hope everything is ok :)

Hi never was thinking hadn’t seen you for a while glad you are ok.
The eBay wins sound really useful.
Ella hope you are ok?

Ellapaella · 18/02/2019 21:10

I'm here.. thanks for thinking of me. Have just had a bit of a catch up with the thread. It's been a busy week, trying to tie up a lot of loose ends at work before I go off next week.
I've lost my fashion mojo a bit.. I'm sure it'll recover but I feel i'm getting a bit bored of winter stuff but it's still too chilly to get excited about spring/summer.
Once my OP is out of the way I'm going to start plotting my Rome wardrobe.

Laska2Meryls · 18/02/2019 21:41

Len thanks for asking, DS has had his contract extended up to August and has an application in for another IT post they have advertised so we a e keeping fingers crossed.

cherries if you can go down to a D would be great !) The DVT sounds quite scary, esp the mechanical boots. Is this a normal thing with an op of that kind? and the need to wear the stockings ? (as you can see I have never really had any procedures)..Am asking because I really am thinking now as yours seems to have been so successful that maybe I might explore the possibility a reduction perhaps when i leave work at the end of the year ..Id like to see if i can lose and maintain a stone or so off first though ).

never the ebay bargains sound good. I 'won' a pair of Hush denim shorts t e other day -long ones but ill shorten them.. I am not at all excited enough of the present Hush collection to order anything else right now - except possibly the tiger skirt.. But supposedly they are bringing more out at the end of the month.

ella good to see you. Good luck for the OP.. Rome will be great , you'l need some Dolce Vita outfits for sure..

ilovecherries · 18/02/2019 22:04

I would think it’s pretty normal, laska, I’ve had the boots/stockings/heparin combo for all my surgeries. I don’t have anything that makes me high risk nowadays so I guess it’s routine precautions. The inflatable boots are actually a lovely sensation - like gentle leg massage. Not at all unpleasant. The stockings are fine in the colder months, pain to get off and on for showering as they are so tight but comfy once you have them on. Might be miserable in the heat though.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/02/2019 23:00

Nice to hear from you @ella. Glad that your operation will be over soon and you can enjoy a well deserved holiday. I am between seasons with clothes too. Its quite mild here and very wet. I feel its too warm for jumpers and not warm enough for t-shirts!!!
@Laska, the end of the month? Lets hope there are a few nice hush surprises. I am like you. Just cant get excited to order anything from the current collection. I do like the tiger skirt too but hush always seem to make waists on their fitted garments to neat for me. I struggle with them.

OP posts:
dontcallmelen · 19/02/2019 08:08

Laska that’s good, hopefully a permanent contract is going to happen for him.
Still not buying, so have avoided looking really yy though this in between season it’s a lot easier.

justilou1 · 19/02/2019 09:55

Hi Laska, as you know, I have started studying nursing, and we were discussing DVT’s in detail today. They are caused because the heart can push blood down through the body, but it is the movement of your muscles the makes the valves in veins contract to push blood back towards the heart. This is why periods of inactivity, such as long plane trips are a risk factor. (Hence the fabulous pumping leg boots.) Meanwhile, surgical trauma throws further clots around your body as well. They give you medication to minimise the risk, very sexy Thrombo-Embolic Stockings to wear that you are measured for, that mimic the pressure on your veins that pushes the blood back to your heart. They don’t let you lie around and “rest and recourperate” in bed like they used to in hospitals, as that used to bump people off. They have you up and around quickly and kick you out and send you home to minimise your risk of hospital-caused infections. You’re a pretty busy woman. I can’t see you hanging about for too long, clutching your pearls after your surgery. (You’d have shopping to do!) I imagine your risk factors would be pretty low. (There are other risk factors that you’d have to discuss with your doctor, like smoking, etc... they’d discuss that anyway before any surgery.)

FuzzyPuffling · 19/02/2019 12:10

Great dyeing tip laska - thank you.

cherries you go on about your boob job as much as you like. I feel really rather smiley for you!

I have a headache today so am not very chatty. (It had better go before Sewing Bee)

FuzzyPuffling · 19/02/2019 14:25

Here's the dress I've doubled up on.

***Hushistas SS19 Part 1!!!!!***
dontcallmelen · 19/02/2019 15:38

Fuzzy that dress is really lovely, phase eight do have some gems sometimes, hope the headache clears before sewing bee, I’m sitting down with a cuppa am exhausted had dgd this morning, was playing drawing n colouring, shops, then to the park & back to dds just got back in now.

twosoups1972 · 19/02/2019 15:51

Wow I have missed so much! Been busy with family stuff so not been online much.

cherries Flowers for you. Huge congratulations on the op, I've been reading your posts, sounds like you had a tough time. I hope the worst is over now and you can enjoy your new boobs!

twosoups1972 · 19/02/2019 16:30

each I love the jumpsuit, looks great on you....and such lovely weather!

twosoups1972 · 19/02/2019 16:43

Hi Soy nice to see you back. Wish your dh better, sounds horrible. How is your ds doing?

cherries outfit sounds great, the Beatrice jumper looks lovely, I am tempted! Is it a light and spring-like knit? There's me saying I wasn't going to look at SS clothes but just checked the weather for next week and it's going up to 16 deg (London)!

ilovecherries · 19/02/2019 18:03

It’s a very light knit, soups, almost identical to the Paloma if you’ve seen that. I like it, although it’s probanly overpriced. An absolutely gorgeous Greek blue colour. DD had organised DH to order it for me coming home. She’s got a lot of experience in how not to feel crap after surgery and nice joggers, new soft jumpers and expensive moisturisers always feature heavily in her rehab plans, so she got her dad on the case :)

How is your daughter doing now she’s back at school? I hope she’s starting to feel a little better.

SoyYo · 19/02/2019 19:56

Just checking in thank you all for the welcome back and asking after DS. He’s doing better but early days yet.

That’s a great dress @Fuzzy will be good to see once you’ve dyed it.
Ella nice to see you back! I know you’ve got your own op looming but take inspiration from cherries who seems to be doing so well
soups yes hope your DD is doing okay?
laska I’ll reply to your message soon, I’m rather inundated with urgent work at the mo (the price you pay for taking a vacation it seems).
melen your day sounds exhausting! I don’t know how you do all that toddler running around 😅 have a cuppa and rest tonight
never yes my poor MrSoy he’s still full of cold but bravely went in the office for a few hours (told him not to but men eh)

No fashion news. Will try harder.
