I have been out with dd & dgd, had a lovely lunch out wandered round the shops 😇 intact as didn’t buy anything, went to the park as another beautiful day here it was 15deg in the sun, positively balmy.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/02/2019 20:16

I've been for a short walk and pottered in the garden, but this afternoon was overtaken by a bout of fatigue, so have flopped on the sofa.

Very unexciting.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/02/2019 20:18

It was beautiful here today too. Positively spring like. No idea of the temperature but warm enough to be in just a top and cardigan.

Well done in keeping your Halo polished @melen. Me too :) Have looked at various websites but ordered nothing.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 15/02/2019 20:21

2 days off and I have ordered nothing Halo Quite unlike me!

OP posts:
dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 20:28

😂 never that is very unlike you definitely double halo.
Fuzzy least you did something before flopping.
Ooh I also booked flight to Menorca for July (got really good deal), as I have been so good reining in the spending, Dh said if I paid for flights he will pay the hotel for all us, so dd, sil & dgd will be coming as well.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/02/2019 20:35

Oooh len...a holiday. That sounds lovely. I've always wanted to go to Menorca.

No shopping for me this week but I did have to return the dusty pink hoodie to Saltrock. It could have been lovely but the "faded" effect was so badly done it looked as though someone had spilt bleach in patches on the front. Very disappointing. The bright pink hoodie is lovely though.

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 20:38

Fuzzy Menorca is lovely, very peaceful lovely beaches & some interesting towns, the capital Mahon is lovely & the gin is brilliant.
We went last year with them as well & had a really lovely time.

ilovecherries · 15/02/2019 20:38

Today I have been mainly admiring my new boobs :). The cost of which has shattered my halo for many months to come Grin

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 20:39

Aww shame about the hoodie, bright pink one was lovely.

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 20:39

😂💐 cherries good for you, nothing like new boobs to cheer a girl up.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/02/2019 20:40

Sounds perfect len. Very envious! We can't go abroad as insurance for DH is stupidly expensive, but fortunately, living where we do, it's not such a problem.

FuzzyPuffling · 15/02/2019 20:41

Hurrah for cherries new norks!

neveradullmoment99 · 15/02/2019 20:42

Must feel fabulous @cherries :) I am sure it will make a huge difference. What about getting home?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 15/02/2019 20:43

@Melen, sounds like a fabulous holiday. Not sure what we will do this year, if anything.

ilovecherries · 15/02/2019 20:49

In the morning, I hope. Rather dreading 90 minutes in the car, although gah I’m going to have a pillow tucked between me and the seatbelt.

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 20:54

Fuzzy yy insurance can be sooo expensive, we had that for a few years as well as Dh had bladder cancer, he has been in remission now for fifteen years so it’s disregarded now, mine is a bit expensive due to heart issues & stroke but again as I have had no invasive treatment since 2012 so not too prohibitive except for America, at least you live in a really beautiful part of the country, so some consolation.
never really looking forward to it, dgd was sooo good last year & it was lovely seeing her excitement on the aeroplane & delight at the swimming pool.
Cherries how is the swelling & pain, hope its not to painful.

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 20:55

Cherries pillow brilliant idea, I did that when I came home after my hysterectomy.

ilovecherries · 15/02/2019 21:19

Yeah, what it costs to insure dd makes my eyes water, but I want her to be able to travel whenever she wants at her age, so we are still paying for an annual policy for her then not thinking about it for another 12 months.

Swelling is a bit impressive on the right side, so it needs a scan in the morning which I am slightly dreading. But really surprisingly pain free. Feels like the worst PMS (from what I can remember), or day 3 after childbirth rather than major surgery.

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 21:31

Glad you are pretty well pain free, I was thinking that maybe would be comparable to feeling like milk supply coming through, hope scan goes well.
Yy annual insurance, definitely works out a bit cheaper.

Huffthepuff · 15/02/2019 22:12

Congratulations Cherries you must be so pleased to have got through it despite your anxieties. I hope your recovery is swift and remains as pain free as possible.

Placed first spring order today. The s/s Ivy and a pair of Agnes jeans. None of my jeans look right since having ds. No idea if these will fit but figured it's worth a try. Ivy seems like a safe bet as I've worn my navy one endlessly and black fits my wardrobe easily. I'm sure I'll place another order or 2 before the 10% offer finishes. Does the next drop happen at the end of the month?

justilou1 · 16/02/2019 06:14

I am so pleased that anaesthetist and nurses were kind and the experience wasn't quite as horrific for you. Bedside manner makes such an enormous difference, doesn't it, @Cherries? You faced such an enormous fear and did it with such aplomb. Aren't you a brave woman? Not many people can overcome that kind of terror. You get a gold star! Well done! I hope you get home safely and can rest up and relax in your own bed on clean sheets without people waking you up constantly!!! (Nothing quite like it!!!)

gubbsywubbsy · 16/02/2019 12:04

Hi hush peeps .. has anyone bought this yet ? Not sure about sizing .. it looks big .
