Ooooh Laska. That is a Dangerous tactic. I tried it and survived, but only just, and only cos the sizing was wrong... (and then ended up buying the smaller size in the sale anyway, but at less than half the original price, though having to pay postage Confused ). Is a good tactic if you have an ounce of self-discipline. I'll let you decide on that Grin not sure I would try it again with my current toast-addiction . You could try 2 sizes of the sandals, then you'd have to send one back??

And on toast shoes, has anyone tried the moheda cloggy things ? I love the look and colour, but I assume they are horrifically uncomfortable, and you have to relearn walking as they don't bend??

NotAnActualSheep · 14/02/2019 20:55

Oh, wow cherries. That's amazing - but sorry you're feeling so bad. Flowers and Brew for you. But you are soooo brave! Well done!

Ellapaella · 14/02/2019 20:57

Laska2Meryls · 14/02/2019 21:13

Yay! Cherries well done! Half a stone off is amazing..

Start of a new era for you! Have they given you an idea of what size you will be now..?

I hope you feel better very soon, and take lots of care of yourself! Youve Done the worst bit !! Flowers

neveradullmoment99 · 14/02/2019 21:16

Well done @cherries. You have worked hard for it :)

Not the annoying thing is that Toast say £125 is their free delivery limit, I can make £124.50 easily with two things I might want but to get over that limit ,Ill have to order something else..

neveradullmoment99 · 14/02/2019 21:17

Oh sorry, just realised you have had your OP!!! I thought it was your low carbing. You have indeed done the hard bit. Rest up and take care.

I have moheda clogs @Not from Toast sale last year. They are fabulous. Mine are different though as they have a bendy bit in them so the sole isn't rigid. They look great and are very slimming on the leg.

Laska2Meryls · 14/02/2019 21:20

never I really do wish there was a diet which allowed you to lose half a stone in a day.....even if it meant drinking fairy liquid and castor oil for a day i reckon id give it a go .. (yuk thought.. )

neveradullmoment99 · 14/02/2019 21:21

Don't buy them from Toast though. The moheda clog website has them for cheaper and lots of different ones.

Cherries sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish.

Laska I would keep it all, definitely a high risk strategy.

I've had some hush Henley canvas trainers for Valentine's Day which look really versatile, I am hoping to get lots of wear out of them.

NotAnActualSheep · 14/02/2019 21:43

Oooh, thanks never. I'll go and have a look for bendy ones. They sound promising...

Oh, how annoying Laska. Not sure they do anything for 50p, do they!? Cheapest thing I can find is a garment bag for £8. Bargain. Random, but bargain...(ish). Or they have some cute little make up pouches for £18.50.

I'm in for the half-stone-a-day diet too Grin . I could even give up bread if it was only a day!!

ilovecherries · 15/02/2019 02:47

Expect everyone is soundly asleep (well apart from Lou!). It’s just after 2am and the nurses have managed to get me sitting up in bed without fainting and I’ve gone nearly two hours without being sick. Pain is surprisingly little at the moment - feels more like day 3 postpartum boobs than ‘just had major surgery’ boobs. I went to theatre about 7.30 am, and was back in my room about 12.30, but basically spent the next 12 hours distressed and confused and feeling sick. DH stayed with me till 10pm as DD came down yesterday to look after the dog, so he could stay as long as nec. Intubation this time was much better than I feared. I’m not sure if the anaesthetist was actually better this time or if he just had a really kind bedside manner so I wasn’t so panicked. And the anaesthetic nurse was amazing, she really got me through it. But the weirdest thing is how slim I look, even looking down on myself in bed, haven’t seen a full frontal yet. Final size won’t be clear for a few weeks, but at the moment, looks to me like maybe a 32DD. All my side boob has gone as well. Literally a weight off my chest though!

justilou1 · 15/02/2019 04:41

Aside from post-op drug reaction, it sounds like you are doing really well!!! (They are the worst bit, if you ask me, @Cherries!!!) Glad you are happy with the result!!! The new you will be fun to shop for, and I can’t wait to hear about your new purchases!!! I hope that these symptoms are resolved ASAP and that you are up and about, and ready to go lingerie shopping!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 15/02/2019 06:43

Sounds hard cherries Flowers. Glad it went well and you are pleased with the results. I am sure you won't look back. Hope you have a better day today and things get back to feeling normal. Xx

Laska2Meryls · 15/02/2019 07:25

Ive only had a couple of small procedures with anesthetic and bit times reacted by being sick. But it passed in a few hours. I hope you are feeling better today Cherries. Now is the time to concentrate on recovery and plan all those new non gaping shirts and shirt dresses you will now be able to get into. Smile

wearenotacodfish · 15/02/2019 07:41

Glad you are feeling a bit better cherries. I am horrifically sick every time I have any kind of anaesthesia so much so that I refuse to have any kind of anaesthetic unless they give me anti-sickness stuff. My consultant says it's bad clinical practice and hates me but luckily still does it.

I bet you can't wait to be up and about so you can appreciate the results.

ilovecherries · 15/02/2019 07:55

Oh, I had every anti-emetic going, but nothing seemed to touch it. But have just eaten my low carb scrambled egg and smoked salmon breakfast (posh!) and had a few trundles round my room so definitely feeling better. It’s looking unlikely that I will get home today as I’ve got a lot of swelling and need to go for scans to check them out. I keep crying with happiness/relief.

whiskyremorse · 15/02/2019 07:56

@cherries well done for getting through the op. Hopefully you will feel better today x

Laska2Meryls · 15/02/2019 08:14

I am so happy for you cherries Smile ( i'd love to do the same, may just think of it,bit first I need to lose that weight Ive put back on )

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 08:50

Cherries so so glad it went well & hoping the sickness has worn off now, well done you have been very brave lots of love 😘💐

dontcallmelen · 15/02/2019 09:02

Laska 😂😂not sure the world is ready for the washing up liquid/castor oil diet can’t see it being that popular meself.

Laska2Meryls · 15/02/2019 10:04

.. yes but if it takes half a stone off a day ,,? but I'm not going to be a tester for it

justilou1 · 15/02/2019 12:10

@cherries - have they told you that it's normal to continue swelling for the first two or three days post-op? (Often they "forget" to mention that bit... the pressure will increase the need for pain/anti-inflammatory meds, so don't feel remotely ashamed about asking for them. After that, you shouldn't feel the need for them, or should feel okay about dropping them back. I wish they explained normal post-op healing properly here in Australia properly. There is a set pattern to things, and people still don't know what to expect or feel, and tend to panic because of this. I don't think that's very fair.)
I'm glad the nausea is gone. Hate that bit - you'd think they would have fixed that by now. I hope the pain is controllable and the boobages are looking perky! I'm so proud of you for doing this for yourself. I intend to someday do this with my stomach scrotum pouch mess thing. It is an awfully violent looking surgery that I wish I hadn't googled. Take care, @Cherries!!!
