Here we go again, and as always say what you like about the clothes but keep it civil re the wearers of said clothes!

@Paradyning I expect it does. Her English is still French-accented, unlike Mary who, even before she married, developed a Scandinavian lilt to her English.

They won't choose Helena as there's already a Helena Windsor. I can't see them using Diana as William already did that with Charlotte. Doria is a possibility as a middle name but it doesn't really "fit" if that makes sense.

I definitely think she'll have a girl, although I quite like Frederick or Arthur for a boy.

Re: the bump touching - its so very irritating and vain. Puts me right off her. I liked her outfit at Eugenie's wedding but she very deliberately opened these buttons when there wasn't anything to show. I also really liked her award ceremony black dress but again, most people would sit their hands under the bump.

In terms of style, I much prefer Kate's style and I'm more inclined to copy her than Meghan.

I think Lady Louise will be one to watch but I see her going down the more classic, traditional, smart route, than the eye catching, latest fashion route.

BigGreenOlives · 27/01/2019 09:15

I really like that dress on Princess Marie. I don’t wear Hugo Boss or even bother to go in the shop as I thought it only worked on very tall broad flat shapes but that dress makes me want to try again. Great colour & v practical (for work obviously!).

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/01/2019 09:25

I can't get too worked up over bump holding, maybe she has a very active baby in there. There are dozens of recent photos of her on Getty Images where she's not holding it but the press always pick the ones where she is.

I really don’t see how a distant cousin having the name is a problem. Look at how many Victorias there used to be, all cousins....

Here in Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed has daughters with the same name as each other (two Maryam’s I think, two or three Latifas) which is going a bit far....

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2019 09:46

Just been reading about Sheik Mohammed he has 7 wives.
Didn’t one of the Princess Latifahs try to run away, was captured and has not been heard of since..?

Clionba · 27/01/2019 09:48

I think Lady Amelia Windsor makes headlines so they wouldn't want to duplicate that name!
Who is Helena Windsor? I've heard of Lady Helen Taylor, daughter of the Duke of Kent.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2019 09:50

I don’t see there being a problem with cousins both having Diana as a middle name.
The distant relative is Helen not Helena ( which I would pronounce Hell-LAY-na; not HEluhn-a)

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2019 09:51

That theLady Helen; born Windsor, married nameTaylor

BigGreenOlives · 27/01/2019 09:51

Just saw this on FB and thought I’d let any Cartier fans here know about it - there should be some tiaras. Note it ends on 29th Jan.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2019 09:54

@mathanaxiety, I like your reasoning behind Alice.
( Perhaps Megs is lurking on this thread and taking notes!)
She’s said to have an an anonymous Instagram account.
I would not be able to give up social media ( especially like her having been so prolific on it. It would be like giving up Electricity!)

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2019 09:56

@biggreenolives
I would be there like a shot if I was in London.
Anyone fancy going and taking some photos for the rest of us to drool over?

BigGreenOlives · 27/01/2019 10:08

I nip in tomorrow late morning. They probably won't allow photos, people copying their designs etc.

desertgirl · 27/01/2019 10:10

AFAIK he has two current wives and has had several short term ones.

Yes I think it is Latifa II who ran away (or whatever). Mary Robinson came over and met her after and took a lot of flack for it.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/01/2019 10:15

There's a Charlotte Windsor and that didn't stop W&K, although I think it's something-Charlotte. And there are two Prince Edwards!

OP posts:
Clionba · 27/01/2019 10:17

She's Marina - Charlotte, plus she's not regularly in the press because of her modelling career.
Two Prince Edwards, but one is known as the Duke of Kent.

beanaseireann · 27/01/2019 10:18

Isadora is a pretty name.
I don't like Princess Marie's outfit - too many different colours.
She is very similar in looks to CP Mary. What would psychologists make of that ?
I was one of the posters in other threads who said that Pippa and Meghan were similar too. Smile
Charlene's outfit was not nice.

Clionba · 27/01/2019 10:22

I think Queen has noted before, if CP Mary, Princess Marie and Kate were all sitting together, it would be a struggle to tell them apart!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2019 10:26

Speaking of Exhibtions, there is Christian Dior at the V&A starting in February. I have seen it in Paris and the queues were round the block, it was amazing.
I think I may try and see it in a London as well.

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/01/2019 10:27

I've often wondered what Mary thinks about it @beanaseireann. Imagine her AIBU "BiL has married my double and she basically has the same name as me too"!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 27/01/2019 10:29

Depends whether Joachim has made moves on Mary Hmm

Haggisfish · 27/01/2019 10:29
Grin
Haworthia · 27/01/2019 10:31

I honestly hope that H&M go for a less “Royal”, less classically English name.

CreakyBlinder · 27/01/2019 10:35

Just place marking on the new thread, thanks @QueenOfTheAndals

QueenOfTheAndals · 27/01/2019 10:40

@CurlyWurlyTwirly Joachim has always struck me as not of The brightest. Apparently he cheated on his ex-wife, who is still pretty popular.
