Have several friends who are married to hedge fund managers, landowners, senior financiers etc. Don’t underestimate how hard it is being the wife of an extremely rich man. Other women are constantly throwing themselves at your husband, and keeping him is as much a challenge as hooking him in the first place. Part of that is keeping yourself looking immaculate and prioritising his needs (sex, holidays) ahead of your newborn child’s.

All these big babies and they seem to have easy births, quite amazing isn’t it! I wonder what the secret is? Sophie being the exception.

That sounds hideous chumsnet, though I’m guessing Pippa does not come under that umbrella, James Matthews marrying Pippa Middleton gives him massive kudos, contacts etc I think they both bring an equal amount to their marriage so I don’t imagine she is living in fear of him leaving her, pandering to him above herself and the baby as much as other wives have to it seems.

Pippa is hardly short of a bob or two. The Middletons are loaded and she must've earned a decent amount from her tv appearances and columns.

I know several such couples. The wives have to be groomed within an inch. You can see other women throwing themselves at some of the men. Tried to warn one friend but she didn’t listen. OW got bored soon enough as he wasn’t as wealthy as she thought/wanted.

IIRC There were rumours on another thread about the Middletons leading separate lives. Most of my parents generation all lead the some sort of separate lives but are still married & occasionally holiday together.

So James Middleton isn’t going out with Donna Air anymore? Now there’s a social climber! I remember her from her Byker Grove/MTV presenting days, and a more working class Geordie accent you’d struggle to find. Somehow she now sounds like a woman who’s never set a foot outside Kensington in her life I find that fascinating. There’s no way her accent has naturally evolved like that over the years.

Doesn't Donna have a child with a millionaire? I think they dated for several years so maybe she picked up the accent of those with who she mixed in those years.
