Thanks for new thread Queen La Smile

drowningincustard · 04/01/2019 13:33

Lovely christening photo on previous thread. Thanks to these I have a new respect for Sophie...

Haworthia · 04/01/2019 13:36

I saw Vogue Williams on an episode of Celebrity Catchphrase over the weekend. It was a repeat from her Bryan McFadden days Grin

Bloominglovely · 04/01/2019 13:36

Isn’t it well for them to go off on a beach holiday and spend time alone having fun ontbe beach while someone else minds the baby. Lots of time and mo euro exercise and eat healthily. I’m envious. Fun went out the wi Dow when I had kids. Constant juggling, little sleep, worry replaced practically everything remotely fun.

Bloominglovely · 04/01/2019 13:38
  • so many typos. Sorry. Rushing as always here. Please ignore above post which is just a whinge about not having fun since having kids. I wish MN had a delete function!
ElspethFlashman · 04/01/2019 13:41

Oh god i'll join you in that whinge. I would quite probably kill someone for a holiday. Haven't had one since before the kids.

Thank god for Wine

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 04/01/2019 13:41

I thought that blooming but I think it’s just the shadow of her goggles.

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/01/2019 14:10

Is Vogue her real name? I have no idea who she is other than she's married to Pippa's BiL.

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 04/01/2019 14:16

This photo of Pippa mystifies me - is that Paul Weller??

OP posts:
Spudlet · 04/01/2019 14:19

Is that the uncle that they dug up before Kate's wedding and tried to present as the embarrassing black sheep?!

I have no idea but his haircut makes me think he may be Grin

YahBasic · 04/01/2019 14:24

Pretty sure that’s Pippa’s FIL - if he ever loses his millions, he’s got a career as a Paul Weller lookalike Grin

Tablefor4 · 04/01/2019 14:27

Finally coming out of hiding to chat on this. The music for Mary's entry is "Zadok the Priest" by Handel. Kate entered to the same piece. The processional is "Toccata" by Widor - also hugely popular for weddings, and a real show piece for the organist. I remember this wedding and Fred welling up - so sweet.

Alwayscheerful · 04/01/2019 14:39

The Zadok piece is The Coronation Anthem.

Haworthia · 04/01/2019 14:43

Pippa does look good. But I don’t think it’s “Middleton genes”, it’s called being rich.

It’s easy to stay thin when you don’t have a job and therefore have so much free time to devote to it. Ditto it’s easy to stay slim and exercise daily when pregnant if you don’t have to juggle your 9-5 job and household chores and all the stuff us ordinary women try to do but usually can’t because it’s too exhausting.

How the other half live, eh? Grin

hopeishere · 04/01/2019 14:44

I think Kate and Pippa work out together.

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/01/2019 14:46

I'm hardly in the same league as Pippa but I managed to exercise almost daily when I was pregnant. But I only have one child - I imagine it's next to impossible with more than one unless you have help!

mikado1 · 04/01/2019 14:47

Yes,vogue is her real name! I thought she was a bit of a fool, probably the BMF influence, but now I follow her on Instagram, she is v common sense and 'normal'. Isn't PM's FIL accused of an historic (statutory?) rape? No word on it recently.

Spudlet · 04/01/2019 14:51

Haworthia I have similar thoughts when people talk about how disciplined Kate must be to to stay so thin. I'm sure she is, but she also has the resources to have as many personal trainers as she needs, a fully equipped gym at home, private pools, childcare on tap, no 9-5 job, healthy food prepared for her... that's got to help!

Paradyning · 04/01/2019 14:55

My mum used to say exactly that about Di!
Yes he's been accused of statutory rape

Clionba · 04/01/2019 15:22

Kate entered the Abbey to "I Was Glad" by Barry.
When my first one was a baby, we lived in the Far East. We had 2 housekeepers and a nanny. I did no shopping, cooking or cleaning. The nanny did everything for the baby. I could get up, go for a swim, have a massage, come back to a breakfast and a clean, changed baby. Having clean, ironed clothes, a stocked pantry, clean dishes, a spotless house, a clean car and full time help with the baby was fantastic. It genuinely makes such a difference!!

BigGreenOlives · 04/01/2019 15:25

Thank you for the new thread Queen.

I like Pippa's bikini but it would probably look better on my (adult) daughter than on me. I exercised all the way through my first pregnancy, did a weights class the day before I went into labour but I remember being horrified by how big my tummy was when I saw a photo of it when I was wearing a bikini when my daughter was 3 months. I had monster breasts from breast feeding too Sad.

However wealthy you are staying slim still requires masses of self-discipline - a fast metabolism is almost the only thing wealth can't buy. I hope Pippa has enjoyed getting into full on exercise post birth.

Bloominglovely · 04/01/2019 15:29

Exactly Spudlet.

Although it must be easy to over indulge too when you can eat whatever you like when rich foods are an option too though from what I’ve read the Queen leads by way of eating healthily and plainly.

Spudlet · 04/01/2019 15:41

I'm not denying she must work hard at it and be very disciplined. I'm just saying it must be a lot easier to do that if you can remove every other barrier besides those!

strangerthongs · 04/01/2019 15:46

marking place, thanks for new thread

itswinetime · 04/01/2019 15:46

[Crown] 👸🏻👑 just leave these here while I go back and catch up although I will say I have already learnt something who knew wearing swimwear on the beach was flaunting!! I'm obviously far more body confident than I realised yay! Wink
