Come down with a cold too. As has the baby. Sadly the three year old remains healthy, and it's his day off nursery, so I either have to keep up with his energy levels (which are off the scale) or put him in front of the tv all day. Obviously I'm going with the latter.

Destiel · 29/01/2019 09:32

I've sent him to school.
He ate breakfast and no temp. He's been very clingy whilst dh has been away.
Just hope dh can get back from the airport before the snow hits later.

Destiel · 29/01/2019 09:32

lots I'm a great believer in the educational value of CBeebies :)

mewan · 29/01/2019 16:26

FannyBurney here.

Couldn't warrant buying anything from the 4160 sale - so I dug our Eat Flowers which I bought a while ago but haven't worn because it's not me at all. But in fact, it's a refreshing change from my rounded, squashy floriental favourites, so I'll bear it in mind for warmer weather.

As I read somewhere, it smells floral, but like the whole flower, roots, leaves, stalks and all. It's like walking into a Victorian hothouse.

Destiel · 29/01/2019 17:51

Sote PP by the fireplace. It's just perfect for this weather!!
As is Mrsgloss indoors actually...I might give that a go after my shower...
I got the yoga eye mask and natural scent in the sale as it was half price and I'm enjoying my daily yoga atm :)
I was tempted by a couple of others but they were too ££££ for a blind buy, sadly :(
I love mrsgloss lemon sherbert (and have a tiny bit of a 9ml left) but I have a nearly full MG lemon so can't justify it really.
Was Also tempted by the room frags but they are Xmas ones really.
I feel I shall regret not getting the 100mls of opal sweets...
Sigh.

Hello friendly perfumistas, I’m not sure whether you include fragrances for men in your discussion but in case you do I thought I’d post in here with a recommendation.
I ordered a few bits from Feel Unique a few days ago and at the checkout one of the samples I selected was Maison Margiela Replica - At The Barbers, it’s an eau de toilette for men. Well it arrived today and OMG it’s got to be one of the nicest males fragrances ever!
The downside to this is that I’ve just ordered it for hubby’s birthday next month, blimey charlie at £95 (100ml) it ain’t cheap but at least he will smell divine 😝 Poor old Feel Unique though, I didn’t order it from them!
Anyway, if you get a chance to try this then I’d really recommend it.

The other freebie I got was Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar, not tried that yet but will do so in the morning.

MrsLucas · 29/01/2019 19:59

Thanks for the tip, Wine, and welcome.

Just sniffing the OMLs with an eye on the bargain bottles of Eau Fraiche. (Have a rollerball of one of them, but this has suffered quite badly with evaporation. Might be worth swerving these?).

Destiel · 29/01/2019 20:38

Hello wine.

Mmm replicas get a lot of love on here:) my favourite is by the fireplace.

Divine!

CountFosco · 29/01/2019 21:10

Got a bottle of Hummingbird today so guess what I smell of :). Came with a sample of Nuit de Bakelite which Fragrantica adores so I think that might be tomorrows SotD.

Together with Hubby’s At the Barbers I only went and ordered the MM selection (John Lewis). Please let me hate them all, otherwise once tried this could lead to a very expensive shop......

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/01/2019 21:22

SOTD Byredo Bibliotheque. Home alone tonight as DP is away at football, and have not been brave enough to give cat-face her medication by myself. Last night was challenging for all of us. She is being a perfect pest, and has eaten better, so hopefully she’s okay.

wine I bought that set for my friend’s Christmas, and weirdly she already had it for my birthday (next month) present! I am another fan of By the Fireplace, and also have full bottles of Untitled and Lazy Sunday Morning. Happy sniffing!

teta · 29/01/2019 22:32

I have the Mm Untitled set too 🐑.
Good luck with hating them Wine!
I’ve had a bath and am sipping Teapigs sleepy tea. It tastes like what Phaedon Hesperys perfume smells like - lavender and camomile. I think I prefer spraying it rather than drinking it as it’s rather reminiscent of my granny’s furniture polish.

MrsLucas · 30/01/2019 00:44

Which of the OMLs did you go for Destiel? I got samples in last year's calendar. All sounds as though it may have been a bit ill-fated, what with not launching yet and problems with bottles?

I see Opal Sweets has gone now. Might've been tempted by the Clans, but do need a little info. Notes would do it.

UnnecessaryFennel · 30/01/2019 07:05

Oh I LOVE Nuit de Bakelite, count. Be interested to hear what you make of it - it's odd but wonderful imo.

SOTD is Lonestar Memories for a snowy morning.

Destiel · 30/01/2019 08:29

I went for the blue horizon with yoga eye pad :)
Sounds like my sort of thing.
Sotd 4160 Tuesdays amberama.

Destiel · 30/01/2019 14:28

Changed my mind...pp by the fireplace

MissBattleaxe · 30/01/2019 14:45

Afternoon perfumistas,

I don't know if any of you like Yves Rocher fragrances ( I love them), but the UK arm is closing down on March 14th. Whilst this is very sad, as they always sent gifts and freebies with every order, it does mean a big sale. I have a blog post with links to reviews of all the perfumes. I think I'm allowed as I'm a Mumsnet blogger!

Here's the link

Destiel · 30/01/2019 14:46

Thank you missb

MissBattleaxe · 30/01/2019 14:47

By the way, I love the Feel unique sample service too! I just tried MMM Mutiny and it's a decent white flower scent but I'd like it to have more oomph for the money.

MissBattleaxe · 30/01/2019 14:47

My pleasure Destiel!

Destiel · 30/01/2019 14:48

Mmm are bringing out a new lemon scent in 2019 :)

Cant wait!

teta · 30/01/2019 15:22

Oh no.
I’ve been meaning to order the orange blossom & lavender for a while and it’s all sold out. I’m really sad as I love the Lily of the valley edc ( use it to scent my eBay sales) and the lilac edc.
Also is this the shape of future things to come?
If so it’s very worrying.

MissBattleaxe · 30/01/2019 15:37

I think they're Ok everywhere else. I just it might be a Brexit thing as it's only the UK that's closing. They're huge in France.

KaliforniaDreamz · 30/01/2019 16:16

Hello All,

This is a far friendlier corner of mumsnet i have to say....

i have a hankering for some old school after shave so i am going to buy my H Fahrenheit but it will actually be for me.
