I like the sound of Lipstick On. I love the smell of L’Oreal lipstick.

I'm back home from hospital, in my own bed, wafting puffs of Narciso EDP (white cube). I feel clean and comfortable. Smile

Puppylucky · 25/01/2019 18:54

Evening just dipping in to reaffirm Floofy /Dave's delight in lost treasures. We have been living away for a while and have only just got furniture etc out of storage. Hidden at the back of a cabinet was a bottle of LAP Cour De Vetiver Sacre which I bought on a whim years ago and its beautiful! A sweet and spicy dried fruit top note with an austere vetiver underpin-sexy and grown up and yum! Obviously it's now discontinued but you can't have everything Smile

Destiel · 25/01/2019 18:57

Sote mmm by the fireplace

FannyBurneyUndertheknife · 25/01/2019 18:58

Thank you, well-wishers for your kind word. Hope all the flu-ridden get better soon. It's so debilitating- I find I feel awful emotionally with flu too.

CountFosco · 25/01/2019 19:07

Oh no, I think that means I'll need to get a perfume society subscription.

The trouble with Zoologists is even the ones I'm not so fussed about I still could happy have 10ml of. Gave DH a list of perfumes that I'd appreciate for my my birthday and the one Zoologist I put on there was Hummingbird. But also love Civit and Beaver and like Camel and Panda (more recent version most). Even T Rex is amusing!

Well, I think everyone gets a personal note, but it’s still lovely!

Calmanddance · 25/01/2019 19:22

That was to Georgian, the thread ran on while I was thinking!

MrsLucas · 25/01/2019 19:38

Ah! Calm, that would be The Great Randello, for producing a perfect plume of cigar smoke on opening that is so realistic I expect to be able to see it curling up in front of my eyes. Jasmin et Cigarette make me smile for the same reason, but that's a bit more spare/grave. Need to try TRex Smile.

CountFosco · 25/01/2019 19:54

Do you know MrsL I almost gave you the remains of my sample for the Advent calendar. Would you like it now?

I forgot to say, I love the idea of a hangover perfume, especially one that smells like angels stroking my brow Grin

It's my Liberty trip tomorrow...am very excited especially as they are doing a beauty giveaway promotion thingy (technical term). Still think I might go for Hippie Rose but also quite tempted by the Vilhelm Parfumerie travel sizes, which are a bit more sensible, price-wise...

UnnecessaryFennel · 25/01/2019 20:12

Actually, scratch that, VP is much more expensive ml for ml...I'm talking utter rubbish!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 25/01/2019 20:14

hello all, i know i've been MIA again, life, chronic illness, the usual.

todays SOTD has been the Original Ghost fragrance. I still like this even if i'm not always sure why, guess it smells of comfort to me in a way

I have yet to try my xmas perfume, which was Doe in the Snow. Somehow grey and freezing doesnt feel right for it but it may surprise me! I also got a Lush Snow Fairy body spray which has been lovely but boy is it strong! it sure does pack a punch even when i go easy on the spraying!

Hope all who have been ill are feeling better soon

MrsLucas · 25/01/2019 20:18

That would be fabulous Count, yes please! Do PM me and let me know what I can send in exchange...

XingMing · 25/01/2019 21:20

Oh heavens above, all the times I've read that one or more of you are wearing By The Fireplace of an evening for comfort and not listened. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. I did bad stuff on Scentsamples and bought a 2ml sample (plus, plus), and am wearing it for the first time this evening. I take it all back; this is lush. Soft and smokey, sandalwood and a touch of incense. I really hope (my infamously scent-averse) DH doesn't comment negatively, because this is twitching my button that says I need more.

KaliforniaDreamz · 25/01/2019 21:27

Hi all

SOTD MH Fleur Oriental but i am not keen.

i was wearing my favourite Bottega veneta eau legere the other evening and it gave me such a headache.

CountFosco · 25/01/2019 21:33

MrsL oh anything, I loved my advent samples.

SotD Dryad ❤. DD1's friend has just set up a group chat on Whatsapp. Her phone is now going continually.

xing get the PP dupe
Bargainous!!

CocoMadwoman · 25/01/2019 21:45

I’ve settled on a spritz of Misia tonight to soothe my soul. It’s my absolute Chanel Exclusifs luuuurve (never felt the big Coromandel love)...it’s just SO charming. That’s the word.

I have two decants and I don’t ever want them to end Grin.

XingMing · 25/01/2019 22:03

So it's a good PP dupe? Before I buy a tanker full?

MrsLucas · 25/01/2019 22:31

That sounds good Puppy - great to be reunited with lost treasures.

Best wishes to all poorly or recuperating Perfumistas. Glad to hear you're home Fanny.

This hair colour remover still stinks. It's sulphur based I think Shock. So will be needing to make some robust perfume choices over the next day or two...

auberginesrus · 25/01/2019 22:33

Ok, having read Xing Ming's post I thought I'd really have to try my By the Fireplace sample. Thought I wouldn't like it. Wrong. So cosy and yummy Blush

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 25/01/2019 22:37

SOTD MMM Lazy Sunday. I went to the doctor and have a sinus infection - I have antibiotics and a steroid nose spray thing. Cure me!

mrsL I stripped my hair yesterday, funnily enough. I used the Scott Cornwall stripper which worked a treat, and you can put a permanent colour on straight after. I have previously used Colour B4 but found the endless rinsing too tiresome.

fennel have a lovely day tomorrow.

cat people I posted a thread on the Litter Tray, but my cat is off her food and I am so worried. She’s fine otherwise, just her normal self. It’s like she wants to eat, and can’t manage - teeth? She’s not been sick or anything, but I don’t know about toileting because she won’t use the tray unless it’s dire straits and prefers to go in the garden. DP is taking her to the vet on Monday and they didn’t say to bring her sooner. She is fussy, but this is beyond. All my googling is not bringing up good things.

auberginesrus · 25/01/2019 22:54

Sounds like teeth Judy, my cat just had 8 teeth out on Wednesday as he had really inflamed gums (gingivitis). What you've described sounds like one of main symptoms. If she lets you look in her mouth you should be able to see if she's got red gums rather than pink. Be warned, its an expensive do if she needs teeth out Sad

Hope your antibiotics kick in soon

MrsLucas · 25/01/2019 23:09

Ah Judy! I used SC Restore - but not sure if I can dye over or not? What colour have you gone?

Hope your kitty is back on form soon. Have PM'd you.

CocoMadwoman · 25/01/2019 23:36

I really want a cat 😩. Unfortunately my DH is extremely allergic. Sad, sad times.

Tried out the Chance flankers. Vive (bleurgh! Weirdly masculine ‘sporty’ citrus) and the Tendre (nice..,floral, watery without being aquatic...just not worth full price).

Now back in Misia. Finally, Chanel heaven.
