Yes Paris 1948 is a chypre ( and a divine one!) but I was just naming the peachy things.

Paris1948 does have a peach top note I think.

SotD Rosarium. Interesting not too sweet incense.

A nuclear one. Usually dampen down a bit with Empreinte. Best suede chypre ever.

Hello I'm a lurker. I had a brief cameo on the last thread, when I discovered YSL Manifesto L'élixir. Wore it yesterday and had a compliment.

Now I'm mostly revelling in my new Narciso (the white cube) which I bought in a whopping bargain 150ml bottle of edp from allbeauty which I spotted after reading Luca Turin, or 4160 Tuesdays Oriane. Oriane is v grown-up baby lotion.

auberginesrus · 14/01/2019 23:07

Good description of Orianne!

SOTD was Chloe Nomade

PestymcPestFace · 14/01/2019 23:16

Philosykoss Another kiss by the fireside, Who Knew and Doe is the Snow for light relief.

SotD is Elizabeth and James Nirvana, like lying in a barrel of bourbon with a hefty wallop of tuberose.

MrsLucas · 14/01/2019 23:29

Wow Mop - what a great shop, bet that was a wonderful discovery?

Welcome back Fanny. I like Orianne too but it has yet to feature as scent of the week! (Perhaps it's all gone?).

FannyBurneyUndertheknife · 15/01/2019 07:27

Just had a look at the Sidmouth shop - looks wonderful. I would buy Grossmith's Shem-el-Nessim or Phul-Nana if I could afford them. I had tiny samples once from Bloom.

I've been trying to decide which scent to take to hospital next week and I think Orianne is the one.

MulticolourMophead · 15/01/2019 09:38

If I win the lottery, I'm planning to go to that shop again 😁

i have hyper sensitive sense of smell - get headaches etc etc
but love the idea of the persume making afternoon.... sigh... Mrs

Fennel there is something in etu noir i can't place.... or maybe i am jsut vaguely remembering someone who wears it? WHO KNOWS?!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 15/01/2019 23:29

SOTD Rive Gauche, which was possibly a bit too chilly for a cold day. Yesterday was JHAG Mad Madame.

DP told me the other day that our cat smelled of Chanel 19, so I think she should be an honourary perfumista.

MrsLucas · 16/01/2019 00:02

The iris in Etui Noir makes that a tad chilly too Fennel?

Put me down for some Shem-el-Nessim too Fanny Smile.

You want a day Mrsr8 - rather than an afternoon. Seriously! You're giving me nostalgic flashbacks to the Vipers' Outing - was that really 2017?

And welcome back Pesty! We've missed you Flowers. By coincidence SotD was Black Sheep. Would you recommend Nirvanna?

My cat smells 'fruity' in the way I imagine Sarah Mc meant when she described her take on the smell of monkeys in her interview with Victor Wong (about her Macaque). Grin Grin

Thank you Calm Flowers.

UnnecessaryFennel · 16/01/2019 07:29

Yes, it was chilly - standoffish and metallic. Completely wrong for yesterday and annoyed me all day Grin

SOTD is au coeur de desert - the opposite of chilly!

MrsL Nirvana smells like what we imagined Atkinsons Pirates would. Extremely boozy, well worth getting a 10ml roller ball but not a FB.

If you stopped doing bad things Mrs8 , you could afford it Grin save up, it is worth it. Just absorbing all that knowledge and smelling everything with guidance.

We had quite a love of cheap here Kalifornia , a good smelling bargain is welcome.

Iris is a weird one, some days I love it and other days nah.
