.KateKat I have written and deleted similar posts as have been written to you today. You never say a positive word about MM. Instead there are constant posts written with the primary objective of pulling another woman down and it is tedious and overall negative.

I hate to hate on Meghan as she's getting such a rotten time but this just screams of someone telling her she needs to up a size and her putting her foot down in the manner of Verruca Salt "I'm still an 8 dammit". No way she could have walked past a PA, stylist and husband without them saying something "Meg that needs an iron and also shelving until summer".

She looks like she was poured in and forgot to say "when".

Bite the bullet Meg and knock on Kate's door for a lend of her maternity wardrobe.

Having said that I do think she's going to find her feet. She's had a hell of an onboarding period.

What I will say for Meghan is that her look was flawless from the neck up. Her hair and makeup was great today and she looked radiant.

Yes and I absolutely love those heels she always wears with the wee bow at the heel. They're appropriate for seemingly every occasion.

I wonder if Megs met Pearl Carr at Brinsworth House today. Pearl & her husband, Teddy Johnson, were the British entry for one of the very early Eurovision Song Contests in 1959.

I agree that the dress wasn’t great but she looked amazing in the coat, hair and make up were flawless and she was smiling. I watched the footage and she was totally charming with the people she met today.
I wonder if she is deliberately downplaying her looks as she wants her actions to be talked about rather than her clothes.

Well, she's going the wrong way about it! People will talk if the look isn't good. If she wore a looser fitting outfit in a neutral colour she'd draw less attention to herself physically and more to the engagement. I don't want to be down on her, she is an intelligent and determined woman, but I do wish she'd dressed better today!

I adore Meghan but found today's outfit a bit of a strange choice for the depths of winter. Her makeup looked fab as ever though.

She just needs a maternity dress, designed by someone who knows how to design maternity dresses. Seriously, there are so many options at so many price points now, we are way beyond Diana and her massive sack dresses. I felt so stylish when I was pregnant, my maternity wardrobe were the first new clothes I'd bought for ages, and they were lovely! Someone send her a Seraphine catalogue - surely they'd be willing to make her something specially even! It's a shame because she's gorgeous, her hair looks amazing, makeup amazing, shoes great, coat great, dress doesn't fit.

I wonder if she is trying to be the opposite of Catherine? I’m sure she isn’t as she isn’t petty. But everyone was desperate to see bumps with her and she hid them in coats. MM however is showing her bump off as much as possible hence the tight dress.

I’m sure this is a rubbish theory, but I’m struggling to find reason behind a beautiful and intelligent woman wearing such odd and ill fitting clothing all of a shudden.

I don't think anyone would deliberately design a dress to fit like that, surely - I think she asked the designers to make it for her to meet royal specs (ie no split) as seems to be fairly frequently done, sent her measurements over, and nobody compensated or allowed for growth between it being ordered, made and worn. I suspect maternity wear is fairly challenging to make, which maybe explains why there are plenty of specialist retailers around? I could be wrong of course but I tend to choose cock-up over conspiracy most of the time!

As I said upthread I think she's confused appropriate attire for what one would wear in Hollywood. I guess hats what she is used to. That dress would be perfect for the Oscars lunch,as an example.

There are so many great high street options, I don't really understand the choice. And I'd think an OAPs home would be a place to dress a bit more conservatively. Meg's being badly advised somewhere along the line.

I honestly don’t agree on the coat, with the exception of the colour. M really didn’t look great in tie waist coats before, now she looks like she’s in a very expensive bathrobe.

She has her own style - which is great! She can look so stylish and fantastic. I was expecting some knock out maternity looks. The custom Givenchy at the fashion awards was stunning!

The Adbullahs look great - they always manage to dress conservatively, but stylish and not frumpy.

How does she keep her shoes on? It looks as though they are loose at the back - in the picture where you can see her feet - and I’m really curious as to whether it is just a trick of the light or if she has a magic way of walking in not-close-fitting very high heels!
