Made sure my autocorrect didn't spoil that title...

As always, let's keep it light and avoid any spite!

Cross post!
The dress looks awful.
In the summer on her non pregnant self, it would be gorgeous. It looks tight and I’ll fitting over her bump.

ElspethFlashman · 18/12/2018 12:22

I'm sorry but that dress is waaaaaaay too small. From the back it looks like it's going to burst. And it's silly in December.

But she sounds like she's holding her own in conversation, no problems there.

Ktay · 18/12/2018 12:30

Great to see the inside of Brinsworth House, as care homes go it looks lovely. I’m not at all theatrical; wonder how I could get myself on the waiting list 🤔

QueenOfTheAndals · 18/12/2018 12:30

I was wondering what the hell happened to Richard O'Sullivan and then realised I was thinking of Richard O'Brian!!

I think the dress looks like she's about to star in a remake of Pride & Prejudice. It's an odd choice for December but let's face it, she isn't going to be taking public transport back to the palace is she? I think I've seen the shoes before - she has a black pair in the same or a very similar style. Either Aquazurra or Altozarra - I get the two brands confused!

I don't understand how she is fitting her bump into it. Unless it's been tailored?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/12/2018 12:31

Meghan did some Christmas crafts!

Disfordarkchocolate · 18/12/2018 12:32

I was never cold when I was pregnant so not so odd for December, especially on a visit to care home (always overheated). She looks radiant so I'm concentrating on that.

Paradyning · 18/12/2018 12:33

Erm. It's not really a day dress is it worth that back?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/12/2018 12:34

I know women get hot when pregnant, but I can’t believe she only had one dress in her wardrobe. Meghan gets it right when something is tailored for her, but she is terrible at off the peg.
Surely that black bed assistant who trails round with her could have ordered in some maternity clothes from Isabella Oliver or Seraphine. Black or Navy stretch dress ( I think we’re beyond expecting colour from her) heels, coat. Job done.

Thesearmsofmine · 18/12/2018 12:35

The dress is totally wrong, badly fitting and it’s not the right season for It(or the shoes). The coat was lovely.

Paradyning · 18/12/2018 12:35

Maybe she has an early evening engagement afterwards?
I'm loving the grey suede shoes. And her make up is immaculate again. She really is beautiful

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/12/2018 12:35

*black bed?
Blonde assistant.

Paradyning · 18/12/2018 12:37

I'm trying to be generous and think of reasons for the dress.
Maybe it's an LA thing if no evening engagement afterwards. It is the sort of thing a starlet would wear to a daytime event

DontCallMeCharlotte · 18/12/2018 12:38

I'm guessing she heard "empire line"...

Thesearmsofmine · 18/12/2018 12:39

I would have loved to have seen her wearing a high street brand for this type of visit. No need for a 1k dress that will probably never be worn again.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/12/2018 12:40

I really like the shoes. If she can walk in them, then kudos.
The dress is cotton ( and £1,000) yes a thousand pounds for an ill fitting cotton frock.

katekat383 · 18/12/2018 12:41

Cotton in winter? Odd.

katekat383 · 18/12/2018 12:41

She was robbed. The dress is unmemorable and once again not for for purpose.

Housewife2010 · 18/12/2018 12:45

The dress looks tasteless stretched over her bump. Kate always looked great when heavily pregnant. She ought to have a chat with her. Lovely Richard O 'Sullivan was one of my first celebrity crushes and he's still gorgeous in Man About the House repeats. It's such a shame how his health has deteriorated in recent years.

katekat383 · 18/12/2018 12:49

Kate wears high street stuff. Why doesn’t she follow her lead? And after all she will one day be the Princess of Wales. The sheer amount of taxpayers’ money being wasted on pretty average clothes by MM is appalling, frankly.

queenofarles · 18/12/2018 12:54

Not a fan of the Brock dress , her back is spilling from the back of dress , not a good look. I hate to compare Kate to Meghan, but Kate dresses more appropriately for such visits . her LKB dress was perfect.

katekat383 · 18/12/2018 12:55

It’s a fair comparison.

Ktay · 18/12/2018 12:56

Am rather belatedly compiling a Christmas list. What is the best (/least worst) Paul Burrell book? Any other recommendations? (Have read Sally Morrow’s book on the Queen and Penny Junor’s Camilla biography. Couldn’t get on with Julie Burchill’s Diana book. Have Tina Brown’s book too.)

Becles · 18/12/2018 12:57

Isn't it that, aside from state visit related stuff, the expenses incurred by H&M and W&C are covered by Prince Charles via the Dutchy of Cornwall and not the sovereign grant?

queenofarles · 18/12/2018 13:01

Yes the Duchy of Cornwall pays for the clothes.
MM rarely wears British brands , wonder if the stylist friend still dresses her.
