I did a massive wardrobe clearout before Christmas, both clothes and beauty. It feels good to be able to see things on the shelves/hanging in the wardrobe now.
Then I attacked the kitchen cupboards with a vengeance, along with the utility room. I now have a shelf for non-wine alcohol (we never had spirits other than gin but have accumulated a few bottles - aperol, port etc) and found tow gorgeous glasses that used to be for red wine but are in fact perfect for a not-massive G&T!
I have two cupboards in the hall that I plan to go through this week, mostly full of the children's sports stuff, old CDs, backpacks etc. Then I will go to the charity shop with a full car (already went to the recycling bank yesterday). Love me a good spring clean, any time of the year.
I am not sure where I stand clothes-wise. Apart from the Domino shirt dress which is still en-route, I have not bought clothes in the sales, just skincare. My children gave me the spanx leather-look leggings for Christmas which is great, and when I was in Dunnes yesterday I saw lots of 'winter into spring' items that look lovely. So I will hang tight for now, avoid the sales rails and reassess my wardrobe in a few weeks.
