and others not so good.

Ellapaella · 10/12/2018 21:47

Well I'm hoping for a black or snake skin marina skirt in the sale. And by some miracle of the fluted neck cream jumper should be back in stock and on sale I'd like that too.

And some cashmere if they reduce that.

Last couple of years the sample sale has been in the Clapham Junction area (Battersea Arts Centre last year) in late January. They don’t usually announce it until a few days before, I think.

NotAnActualSheep · 10/12/2018 22:17

Sorry to hear there are so many lurgies today...hope you all feel better soon. Brew. Maybe we are infecting each other!

I like the monsoon dresses soups posted. The red is a beautiful colour. I used to live in jumper dresses in the winter, but then saw some photos of me looking very potatoesque Xmas Sad and I have moved away from them. I may look out for something in the sales...

Sorry porpoise and soy have had a couple of fails ( though lol @ porpoise not wanting to get changed to try the trousers on Xmas Grin ) . But agree that even with the current discounts it may be best to hold out til Christmas when there will be more money off...if we aren't all hush-ed out by then, of course! (Or want something to wear NOW...). And sorry that your DS is still having a tough time, soy. It must be very hard.

Thoughts with laska today. Hope it hasn't been too overwhelming for you. Flowers

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 22:18

They don't reduce the cashmere to rock bottom prices. It is still pretty expensive sadly. I think it probably is still over £100

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 22:19

potatoesque Love it!!! Such a fabulous description Grin

NotAnActualSheep · 10/12/2018 22:23

I would love some cashmere, actually. The rose pink summery one that I (eventually) got from brand alley is gorgeous quality...puts my m and s ones in the shade. But it all seems sooo expensive for something I would be really nervous wearing ( in case I splodge soup down it). Reckon the nibbled one will be reasonably well reduced though...

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 22:24

@soyo... with my older ds, I have had similar situations. One of my ds hated his uni course, did physics and then went through a weird phase of being pretty lost. With my other ds, he broke up with is gf while living out of the UK and his whole life seemed in turmoil. He took ant-depressants for a while. He is back on track now, both are. Its hard being a mum. You try and help, try to suggest things but in the end they need to learn it for themselves. Tried so hard to get them to bypass things I could see but its never worked. It will get sorted but it can be a hard journey.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 22:25

..a hard journey for us mums Flowers

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 22:26

But can I just add, my older ds who was lost came to me and thanked me for my help out of the blue. I was touched.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 22:27

I wish I had ordered the summer cashmere when it was around but you are right, it was so pricey.

ilovecherries · 10/12/2018 23:02

I wore my red Stories cashmere today and loved it so much I’ve also ordered the camel. I really like it, and with the intro discount they come in at £77. Postage is a stupid price though unless you spend £125.

neveradullmoment99 · 10/12/2018 23:21

Sadly, i have a red, camel and charcoal one from hush othewise cherries i would order one myself. They are a great price.

ilovecherries · 11/12/2018 07:29

I managed to snag the summer cashmeres at brand alley. They only had XL so I took a punt, but they are ideal. Cashmere is probably my favourite fabric ever.

hendricksy · 11/12/2018 08:28

I have just received the harmony bell sleeve dress which I got in the discount thingy. I dozed right down to a 6 ( I'm a 12 ish ) and it's great.. I think it will be handy

hendricksy · 11/12/2018 09:35

Sized 🙄

twosoups1972 · 11/12/2018 09:45

Oh dear, I hope I won't look potatoesque in a jumper dress Hmm

SoyYo · 11/12/2018 10:52

@never thank you for your words on DS struggles, indeed his gf in Canada broke up with him last week. Difficult being a DM to young adults, I know he appreciates our emotional support and at least he’s seeking refuge at home...

soups I’m sure you won’t look “potatoesque” Grin

Good to read you found a winner in that dress hendricks and that you’re enjoying your cashmere cherries. My favourite fabric is silk, if I had to choose a favourite...

Btw Pure are having an early sale and lots of heavily discounted cashmere there...

dontcallmelen · 11/12/2018 11:20

Soy aww that’s so tough on him, but a small saving grace he is at home with family & has support, so hard when then have heartbreak & are hurting, I wanted to do really bad things to the g/f that broke my Ds heart, which must admit I’m ashamed that I felt like that but even when they are adults you still want to protect them.
Never yy with every word & lovely that he could acknowledge your love & support.

Ellapaella · 11/12/2018 11:41

Please can you all help me decide which Christmas jumper to keep please? I do not need two but can't decide which one I like most.

@Ella tough one, they’re both great and look superb on you...
If I had to choose a favourite I’d go for the gray as the bright red Fairisle pattern is very Christmassy indeed Xmas Smile

Ellapaella · 11/12/2018 11:50

I think grey is a little bigger so will be a little more forgiving after Christmas feasting as well.. I like both but really like the pink in the grey one.

Talisin · 11/12/2018 11:54

Hush have put more stuff in their ‘up to 30% off’ sale.

SoyYo · 11/12/2018 11:56

melen yy my DS has literally been planning for a year to go to Canada to be with gf, needed to graduate which he did last summer and save up which he is doing right now even though he wasn’t that keen on the job he’s sticking to it. He’s been to see gf twice in the last 10 months, applied and got his work visa, etc etc. It was the one thing that kept him going and out of the blue gf wants to call it a day...we can’t mend their broken hearts, now all his plans are up in smoke and he’s devastated Sad
At least he hadn’t actually moved and we can give him the TLC, he’s only 22 and I would have been so worried if it had happened so far away from home. We can’t take the pain away, all part of life’s ups and downs and we have to watch the mistakes unable to do anything but help pick up the pieces...
