I am so bloody excited fo Sunday

Does anyone want to join me in a discussion about the contents this year? No spoilers!

I'm happy enough with today's lipgloss. It's not bad, but probably not something I would have chosen.

I think the thing with coloured products, is that you'll never find one share that suits everyone, and that everybody likes.

I've lined and filled my lips in with nude liner and added a touch of today's gloss on it. Looks nice.

Yuk. Hideous colour on me. Makes me look 20 years older.

A good one for my daughter! Quite pleased as I need to fill a box for her.

This isn’t my colour so not tried it - can swap with someone if they like? I also have last year’s Stila pink one though I did try that once - happy to send it if you’re a fan of it.

Today's was the second day I've opened and thought "oh no". First was the nail varnish...which I'm not neat with although the colour is lovely. But I stuck it on my toes and like it!
Thanks to previous poster who said to at least try today's... it went on pretty sheer and not as bright orange as I expected. So not a major hit but happier than I was at first.

I wasn’t impressed with today’s but tried it earlier and it actually feels really moisturising, probably as much so as my usual lip balm and definitely more so than that god awful berry thing from the other day

I don't. This colour doesn't suit my colouring at all. However, I am going to take the advice on here and try it over my red lipstick.

It shows up quite clear so I paired mine with a nude-ish coloured lip liner and slapped in on as the earlier lip balm sapped my lips of life. It's sorted them out a treat.

You're all gonna call me a fussy cow but I don't think I like todays.

The packaging feels like Poundland's own range and the formula feels much the same too.

Because my lips are still a bit fucked from last weekends lip balm I've not tried it on my lips yet but a swatch on my hand both alone and over the top of a lippie and the lip gloss colour is gone within half an hour on both swatches. Not expecting it to last much longer on my actual mouth tbh.

So to me it feels and performs like a £1 gloss from Poundland and while I actually don't mind cheaper products that I'd have to reapply a lot and I do buy half a dozen to chuck in handbags, coat pocket that I don't carry bag with, the glovebox etc I kind of feel if it's being passed off as a high end item with a high end price tag it should at least feel and/or behave a bit better than Poundland's offerings. If I'm going to spend £22 on a lipgloss I expect to not have to reapply every hour.

I'd be thrilled with this in a Poundland version of an advent calendar. A posher one not so much.

Whole calendar fell over when I was pulling today's box out, at least two further boxes feel empty. Didn't have time to shake because dog thought all her xmasses had come at once and that all the boxes were her personal toys! 😀

Not commented on here so far but just popped on to see how people got on with the lip balm - reassured that others have found it's trashed their lips! It's not just me then!

Would anyone like to swap a still sealed Alpha Gold from last year for something.?

I've just tried the nail file. I take back everything I muttered under my breath about it. It's actually brilliant on my brittle nails.

What a horrible lipgloss!! Not sure how such an orange would suit anyone. Quite disappointing.

Also not a fan of today's so happy to swap/donate either that or the rose toner. Both unopened!

Re the lip balm: I used it for a few days & my lips felt quite well moistured. Then all of a sudden my lips are sooo dry, cracked & sore! I know I get that a bit at this time of year but it happened suddenly overnight. Can only think it's the lip balm?

I opened the lip gloss box just after midnight and thought it was a hideous orange colour but in the morning natural light it looked more pinky and I was less horrified. I suspect it's quite sheer either way so hopefully ok. I'll try it tomorrow - barely got out of pjs today so wouldn't eat felt a bit odd applying gloss!!

Where are you all? . Today's offering is a black eye pencil. I don't use eye pencils as they always seem to drag on the skin, I either use felt-tip or powder eye liners. Will give it a try though, it seems quite softly tinted so may be ok for a little emphasis under lower lashes.

I'm happy with this. I've just got into using pencil again and this seems a nice one so it's a winner
