Currently obsessed(!) with CK Obsession! It's an oldie but a goodie! Anyone else revisiting older perfumes?

Bloom- that bottle will absolutely sell. It's a discontinued perfume that is quite highly sought after.
Aqua Di Gio is still available here (Italy) quite cheaply.

Bloomcounty · 09/11/2018 20:13

Really? I must look into that then. I still like it, but go forfor l'eau d'issey now so it could go without me noticing.

moresugarthanalemon · 09/11/2018 20:21

You've made me miss Armani White! Why has that gone away?!

halfwitpicker · 09/11/2018 20:23

Did anyone have Matthew Williamson Flowers or something it was called? Bright pink box?

It's been discontinued Sad

Wolfiefan · 09/11/2018 20:27

I still buy Dune and Samsara
Hated Poison.
What was the yellow and white striped box that was so overpowering that it was banned in some places? Giorgio?

duvetfan · 09/11/2018 20:30

I loved prada l'eau ambree for winter. Gutted it's discontinued. It wasn't even old. I used my last few sprays today. I know there are still some on ebay but it's too expensive for me now that it's discontinued.

ChrisPriss · 09/11/2018 20:36

Blasé was fabulous, also Gingham which we used to call "female Brut" anyone old enough to remember that one?

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 09/11/2018 20:37

Gucci Envy. Now discontinued.

Dior Miss Dior Original. Had my first bottle in 1975. Try as I I have, I’ve had it since and it’s just not the same.

Youbrokemytwatometer · 09/11/2018 20:39

Lacoste pour Femme and DKNY Women. Ah...to be 20/21 again.

thenightsky · 09/11/2018 20:40

god yes to Miss Dior Original!

Ellapaella · 09/11/2018 20:43

Nina Ricci Delci Dela - heaven in a bottle. No longer made though.

Ellapaella · 09/11/2018 20:43

@Wolfiefan yes Georgio Beverley Hills 🤢

Youbrokemytwatometer · 09/11/2018 20:45

And Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue.

Oh, I feel some christmas shopping coming on.

buggerthebotox · 09/11/2018 20:51

Yup-i remember Gingham. And Charlie, and Blasé.

There was a period in the 70s when oils were popular-Sandalwood, Patchouli and Musk all really strong.

Modern perfumes are all so feeble!

Even Boudoir by Viv Westwood really disappointing.

Wolfiefan · 09/11/2018 21:05

Yes Ella it was. Shock

SpamChaudFroid · 09/11/2018 21:10

I used to love Giorgio Beverly Hills Giorgio and Dior Diorella.

Am currently revisiting Cacharel Eden. I love its weird plasticky, (but not in a synthetic way) smell.

gaggiagirl · 09/11/2018 21:13

Tribe by coty. I miss it so much

Delilah21D00LoT · 09/11/2018 21:21

Thoughtfor food finally someone else who knows Charlie White! I loved it and it was the most affordable option for me back then. You can still buy it!

My friend was obsessed with LouLou and Opium - I didn't like either..

'Eden' used to do a lighter version called 'L'eau de Eden' which was just beautiful, but that's not around anymore.

I still love Channel No.5 and CoCo as they remind me of my Mum who died several years ago.

I also loved Paris by Yves saint laurent, Georgio Beverley Hills Dream or something like that.

These days my favourite is Pleasure's by Estee Lauder.

Does anyone remember the Mens aftershave (I say Men - but we're talking the teenage boys) called JAZZ it was just gorgeous .

I'm really enjoying this trip down memory lane, thanks.
X

Chanel Allure and Flower by Kenzo

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 10/11/2018 06:31

Spam-you can often pick Diorella (old version, not the wtf-is-this version that goes by the name now!) on eBay and the beauty of the old Diors are the 10ml bottles. I've picked up Diorella, Dioressence, Diorama, Dior Dior and Miss D for a song. German eBay for some reason seems to come up trumps.

Miss Dior originale still available isn't too far removed from old Miss Dior. Slightly less "animalic" but not bad. Just avoid the ones with the velvet bows that are called Miss Dior, but aren't!

saganorenscarandcoat · 10/11/2018 08:16

Paris by YSL !!! I used to LOVE that!

OP posts:
pangolina · 10/11/2018 10:53

Gucci Envy. How I loved that. I can still smell it now, so beautiful. Why oh why did they discontinue it? Shall we start a campaign?

onlyconnect · 10/11/2018 11:57

I'd love to get hold of some eau de Givenchy. I loved that.

Nettletheelf · 10/11/2018 13:12

Eau de Givenchy was re-released about 5 years ago (only in France I think) as part of a collection of Givenchy classics (Givenchy III etc). Sadly it was madly expensive and didn’t smell the same.

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 10/11/2018 16:33

Pangolina Yes! So many people on here and in RL say the same. It was a best seller for them. Why would they shoot the goose that laid the golden egg?
