I’m not sure how many steps away from HM I am, but my friend was pals with William at Eton.

My friends sister used to be private secretary to one of the Queens grandchildren.

William and Catherine went to a wedding in our church (very rural place)
The Groom’s sister was someone I know, but really my brothers friend.
Also at the same wedding where my neighbours son and daughter in law, who has very close links with the Royal family. Apparently William and Catherine walked down the road to church and no one batted an eye. Very low key.

Windy was that wedding in a place beginning with F?

Love today’s outfit! I would wear that myself, in fact could pull similar from my wardrobe easily. I wore heels right up until my mat leave started, and could sprint for the train in them.

I've thought about the alternative universe with no C & D wedding. Diana would be the current chatelaine of Highclere and Charles would not have married. So we'd be looking at King Andrew followed by Queen Beatrice and then the Revolution.

Camilla was a bit of a girl in her youth and had a reputation. I'm sure someone has previously said that she only dated Charles to get back at APB who was playing around with Princess Anne.

Charles ( and Camillas) rehabilitation in the eyes of the public had already begun. The latest book was supposed to help it along. The Queen sadly, not looking so well at the moment.
However as a PR exercise for C& C it has backfired.

I really like today's outfit and she does look much more relaxed. I also like her hair like that (although I long for CP Vic to stop scraping hers back so much - her scalp must be excruciating at the end of the day when she takes it down! I also wonder why Kate never has a pony tail. My contrariness is through the roof these days!).

I've just read the Invictus closing speeches by Harry and Megs. Very nice. Puzzled by her speech though - she said before she met Harry she travelled round military bases and met veterans. Was she with a US charity, or was it to do with acting? Anyone know?

I hadn't heard about that either but I guess it's true. I don't think she'd lie as it would be too easily found out surely?

A ponytail is too casual for Kate. Why should she scrape her lush hair back in that way?

Lots of American celebs do military stuff. It's much more mainstream than here and being pro armed forces is practically core to being American. So entirely possible she did tours.

Meghan was a USO tour participant before she met Harry. The USO was founded during WWII and sponsors entertainment for service people stationed all over the world. Lots of US actors and comedians participate.

A ponytail is Kate's go-to hairdo whenever she's at any sporty events but her hair never looks like it's pulled back too severely like CP Vic. She and Daniel must spend a fortune on gel!

She's one of the only people I've ever seen in my long life who can wear sable strap shoes without looking like she's got cankles.
Very, very few people can wear ankle strap shoes.

I agree with previous posters that PC new book/Press releases are not going to go down too well. If I were him I would have done all I could to bury the hatchet on the absolute farce that marriage was. The only 2 good things that came from it were Will and Harry in my opinion.

British royal family connection, I'm one step away from the Queen from meeting people.

But genetics wise, I'm actually a blood line descendant from the French Royal family. We traced our family tree back and I had a Danny Dyer moment 😂

I really like the green halter-neck dress. And the shoes. Meghan has really slender ankles, and she can pull that look off, especially in nude shoes. They would probably look a bit odd in a dark color.
