Following on from the general royal style thread, which is fast filling up, here's one just to discuss today's outfits.

My predictions

I’m really hoping Fergie will look fabulous - <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/Ex3BbE" target="_blank">teal or <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/oiAQaV" target="_blank">forest green look good on her.

After Kate's recent trip to the V&A, I’m hoping for something a bit more adventurous than a pale blue or yellow coat dress. Sophie in blue or pink Wickstead, Meghan in navy and/or boat-neck. She and Victoria Beckham may end up in similar outfits.

The Queen in fuchsia, neon green or yellow, Ladies Sarah and Helen in something elegant and understated, Karen Spencer in a dress that’s spectacular but so tight she can’t breathe.

And of course Princess Anne in a dress she's owned since 1986 that still fits her perfectly!

Very true my Dad had to untangle my train as my little bridesmaid was too nervous to do anything

Spudlet · 12/10/2018 12:16

I love how the pro hat wearers have them anchored down enough not to hold them on, in comparison to the amateurs who all have a hand clamped to their heads!

Ktay · 12/10/2018 12:16

@QueenOfTheAndals I think I saw the Michaels on the back row? His beard is hard to miss!

Honeyroar · 12/10/2018 12:17

What a lonely wedding. Really genuine.

I haven't seen many OTT outfits (Robbie William's wife perhaps). Loved the wedding dress.

ineedaholidaynow · 12/10/2018 12:17

Louise seemed to disappear after arriving at the chapel. One of the younger bridesmaids took Eugenie's flowers

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/10/2018 12:17

Grin at the lip reading fail

BrightonGallery7 · 12/10/2018 12:17

And Eugenie was stunning - and a real princess.

GrumbleBumble · 12/10/2018 12:18

Buttery in their shoes (assuming they want kids and the engagement interview suggests they do) I'd have chosen to go for a ASAP and stayed away from the Zika risk but I took 8 years and much IVF to manage one child starting on 30th birthday. What if it takes them some time - the speculation would be bad enough without curtailong travel to large parts of the commonwealth that is supposed to be their focus.

TokyoSushi · 12/10/2018 12:18

Yes agree Eugenie was beautiful.

Whisky2014 · 12/10/2018 12:18

worries id have thought if Meghan wanted kids shed have had them by now. I dont know I just get the feeling they wont. Who knows!

Figgygal · 12/10/2018 12:19

I'm sure I saw the duchess of Kent but maybe not

Lovely wedding dress indeed

BrightonGallery7 · 12/10/2018 12:19

Agree about the medieval look! The greenery and the tiara definitely referenced that earlier time. Fab.

WorriesGalore · 12/10/2018 12:19

Ooh the cake looks so beautiful!

lalalalyra · 12/10/2018 12:19

I'd be surprised if the Michael's of Kent weren't there given the inclusion of their granddaughter in the wedding party

Disfordarkchocolate · 12/10/2018 12:19

I only watched the bride arrive and I think she looked beautiful. Wonderful dress, the structure of the bottom half reminder me of Catherine's and how lovely that looked when she walked. I loved the triara, it was lovely to have some colour. And the flowers etc where perfect.

QueenoftheNights · 12/10/2018 12:20

Harry is very very keen to have children and has made no secret of it.

WhyOhWine · 12/10/2018 12:20

Loved the little ones. great to see all the queen's great-grandchildren together (apart form the babies obviously). George seems to adore big cousin Savannah - they are often joking together. Mia was surprisingly subdued i thought.

SillySallySingsSongs · 12/10/2018 12:20

@GrumbleBumble I think you are right, if itcwasnt because of the Invictus Games. It is something that Harry is extremely passionate about. There is absolutely no way he would miss it.

Butterymuffin · 12/10/2018 12:20

Grumble Yes, hard to know what to do for the best. At least they'll have the money for treatment if t's needed. I hope they manage it.

Butterymuffin · 12/10/2018 12:22

ITV's well of expertise is running dry now. 'Honeymoon - could be anywhere...'

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/10/2018 12:22

Any guesses for the honeymoon?

No idea...it could be anywhere.

Brilliant commentary Grin

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/10/2018 12:22

Snap buttery Grin

SillySallySingsSongs · 12/10/2018 12:22

Grumblein their shoes, I'd have put off doing those countries to be honest.

No way he would miss Invictus Games and everything that goes with it.

Minimammoth · 12/10/2018 12:23

And Pippa is still pregnant......poor thing

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 12:24

And most importantly - where was Ed Sheeran???
