Following on from the general royal style thread, which is fast filling up, here's one just to discuss today's outfits.

My predictions

I’m really hoping Fergie will look fabulous - <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/Ex3BbE" target="_blank">teal or <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/oiAQaV" target="_blank">forest green look good on her.

After Kate's recent trip to the V&A, I’m hoping for something a bit more adventurous than a pale blue or yellow coat dress. Sophie in blue or pink Wickstead, Meghan in navy and/or boat-neck. She and Victoria Beckham may end up in similar outfits.

The Queen in fuchsia, neon green or yellow, Ladies Sarah and Helen in something elegant and understated, Karen Spencer in a dress that’s spectacular but so tight she can’t breathe.

And of course Princess Anne in a dress she's owned since 1986 that still fits her perfectly!

I think the front of her skirt is possibly just an inch too long. She seems to be having to kick walk.

Beautiful deep curtsey though.

Butterymuffin · 12/10/2018 11:58

Groom looks better. Perhaps someone had some Red Bull handy while signing the register.

frugalkitty · 12/10/2018 11:58

The shape and outline if her dress look lovely walking down the aisle

Butterymuffin · 12/10/2018 11:58

Yes Teddy looks just like her dad.

SheSparkles · 12/10/2018 11:59

Poor Jack, I wonder when he’ll be able to relax-he still looks like a bag of nerves!

BlancheM · 12/10/2018 11:59

The passage from Gatsby was very apt and personal to them. If the whole thing had been read out then it wouldn't have seemed as appropriate- but it wasn't. How romantic! This stuff usually makes me cringe.
I don't do weddings generally or personally but have been captivated by the whole shebang. The creams and greens, gemstone colours of the guest's attire, the tiara, the emeralds are so verdant you would think they were knock offs on anyone other than a royal's head.
Gorgeous day, I wish them well!

Spudlet · 12/10/2018 11:59

I've only seen a few still images as I've been out, so perhaps it's just the angles, but Fergie's hat did look a bit like it had ears sticking out (also, I've been knitting hats with ears so I have them on the brain!). I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it did make me smile Grin

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 12/10/2018 11:59

The uran looks amazing from above

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 12/10/2018 11:59

Sweet kiss!
Glad the rain has kept off.
Would have loved to hear Sheku Kanneh-Mason play there again but Andrea Bocelli a great choice.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/10/2018 11:59

The groom's mother looked almost as nervous as he did. Poor family!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 12/10/2018 11:59

*train

flowerycurtain · 12/10/2018 11:59

How cute are all the bridesmaids and pageboys. How on earth are they so well behaved!!!

RhubarbCrumbled · 12/10/2018 12:00

It's so nice to see her not looking painfully thin! Slim, but healthy.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 12/10/2018 12:00

Love the grenadine guards

Butterymuffin · 12/10/2018 12:00

Not everyone got the memo about how you pronounce Eugenie.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/10/2018 12:01

Seriously, is this the public crowd Shock

SillySallySingsSongs · 12/10/2018 12:01

Do you think there will be the same fuss if Beatrice gets married?

I imagine so as she is closer in line.

Butterymuffin · 12/10/2018 12:01

The horses are called Plymouth, Milford Haven, Tyrone and Storm for anyone else who enjoys the animal elements Smile

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/10/2018 12:01

Or is it specific people and crowds are outside?

Petalflowers · 12/10/2018 12:01

I bet there’s a long queue for the ladies now!

QueenoftheNights · 12/10/2018 12:01

why is Andrew fussing over her dress now rather than her MOA Beatrice? I don't understand his over-involvement.

CoolCarrie · 12/10/2018 12:01

What was the reading Beatrice did?

fredleighton · 12/10/2018 12:02

I think Meghan wearing her coat buttoned the way it is leads to speculate that she is pregnant. If she isn't then it's poor form (and possibly calculated).

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 12:02

For whose wedding was it that the Queen ran after the car as the bridal couple were departing? Andrew's?

I like the carriage, fairytale like.
