Following on from the general royal style thread, which is fast filling up, here's one just to discuss today's outfits.

My predictions

I’m really hoping Fergie will look fabulous - <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/Ex3BbE" target="_blank">teal or <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/oiAQaV" target="_blank">forest green look good on her.

After Kate's recent trip to the V&A, I’m hoping for something a bit more adventurous than a pale blue or yellow coat dress. Sophie in blue or pink Wickstead, Meghan in navy and/or boat-neck. She and Victoria Beckham may end up in similar outfits.

The Queen in fuchsia, neon green or yellow, Ladies Sarah and Helen in something elegant and understated, Karen Spencer in a dress that’s spectacular but so tight she can’t breathe.

And of course Princess Anne in a dress she's owned since 1986 that still fits her perfectly!

Is that boy next to.Stephen Fry his husband?

TheCraicDealer · 12/10/2018 11:35

Meghan wearing Givenchy, again. Navy, again. And she's finally given into the siren's call of "coat dress!" on the first formal occasion in ages where Kate hasn't worn one.

There is a picture of Kate talking to Harry in the church so they do chat.

WorriesGalore · 12/10/2018 11:36

It is, CurlyWurly.

Whisky2014 · 12/10/2018 11:36

Elidh goulding! Looks amazing

PurpleChai · 12/10/2018 11:37

Little smile from Eugenie at the mention of children.

SillySallySingsSongs · 12/10/2018 11:37

I go with the theory someone advanced that Meghan regularly wears accommodating clothes so that when shedoesget pregnant it'll be harder to spot.

So do I. I Very much doubt that she is pregnant now considering they are in the next week travelling to Zika risk countries.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 12/10/2018 11:37

Its not as showbizzy as I.thought it would be...

Getonthatbroomandfly · 12/10/2018 11:37

The groom looks like he's realised he's left the iron on in the room Grin poor sod!

serenmoon · 12/10/2018 11:38

What is the groom’s background? Is he from a wealthy family? I cant imagine how much pressure there would be to be getting married in front of all these people. Do you think there will be the same fuss if Beatrice gets married?

kenandbarbie · 12/10/2018 11:38

Did they miss for thine is the kingdom the power and the glory from end of Lord's Prayer? How come? I thought that was only in rc our father?

Whatthefoxgoingon · 12/10/2018 11:38

My husband was so nervous he stumbled on his vows Grin I took it as a good omen as we are still very happily married many years on.

SalemBlackCat4 · 12/10/2018 11:38

This guy is as bad as the previous one. That, or it is the reading that is very boring.

susurration · 12/10/2018 11:39

Jack does look overwhelmed doesn't he. Eugenie looks much more relaxed, although I suppose being brought up in these kinds of situations it's easier for her.

Now, one thing i'm really admiring is how straight her scar is and it lines up perfectly with the dip in the dress at the back.

BloomsButtons · 12/10/2018 11:39

Jack looks like he's about to faint. He's swaying an awful lot.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 12/10/2018 11:39

Eugenie is so composed. Looks like Jack.keeps looking.at her for reassurance ....

TinselAngel · 12/10/2018 11:39

It makes me uncomfortable, Stephen Fry and his partner. Then I worry I shouldn't feel like that.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 12/10/2018 11:39

Do you think there will be the same fuss if Beatrice gets married?
If her dad has anything to do with it. Grin

Getonthatbroomandfly · 12/10/2018 11:39

I'm a bit behind... who was that with giant peacock on her head?

PrivateParkin · 12/10/2018 11:40

Buttery the flowers are lovely aren't they - love that they've used seasonal ones (dhalias, hydrangeas etc).

RosinaAlmaviva · 12/10/2018 11:40

I teared up during the vows!

Eugenie looks wonderful! The dress is beautifully cut and makes the most of her figure while not being immodest. Just gorgeous from the back too. Tiara is perfection and no veil was absolutely the right choice given the weather.

I liked the Gatsby reading as it was more personal than the usual suspects you get at a wedding. Admittedly, the novel is about a marriage going horribly wrong, but Jack must be quite the charmer if he reminded Eugenie of Jay Gatsby.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 12/10/2018 11:40

I can't see her scar. Good for her to be positive about it. Both.girls & Fergie have come out of this very well

UrsulaPandress · 12/10/2018 11:40

Me too.

lalalalyra · 12/10/2018 11:40

Beatrice chatting to her mother - she was chatting away at Harry and Meghan's wedding as well. It's not the best example of good manners, which is surprising!

Butterymuffin · 12/10/2018 11:41

Private just gorgeous!

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 11:41

@DonkeysDontRideBicycles The cellist at Harry's wedding had entered BGT in the past but he was also the winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year award, RAM trained and a member of a BME orchestra. So it's hardly like Harry asked a boy band to perform.
