Princess Eugenie's wedding: The sartorial highs and lows. Plus Fergie's back, bitches!

Following on from the general royal style thread, which is fast filling up, here's one just to discuss today's outfits.

My predictions

I’m really hoping Fergie will look fabulous - <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/Ex3BbE" target="_blank">teal or <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/oiAQaV" target="_blank">forest green look good on her.

After Kate's recent trip to the V&A, I’m hoping for something a bit more adventurous than a pale blue or yellow coat dress. Sophie in blue or pink Wickstead, Meghan in navy and/or boat-neck. She and Victoria Beckham may end up in similar outfits.

The Queen in fuchsia, neon green or yellow, Ladies Sarah and Helen in something elegant and understated, Karen Spencer in a dress that’s spectacular but so tight she can’t breathe.

And of course Princess Anne in a dress she's owned since 1986 that still fits her perfectly!

The groom looks like he might faint.

She looks beautiful!

Why have they seated the congregation facing inwards? Have they sold the pews off?

I'm not surprised she's not wearing the York tiara. The Queen, similar when there was rumours Meghan wouldn't wear one, knows that any decision that looked like she'd not loaned Eugenie one would play in the press as "Fergie's daughter snubbed/banned from tiara loan"

I'm in love with the tiara. It really is lovely to see some colour on her, and with such a structured dress I think a veil would have ruined the lines of it all. She looks very medieval blood princess. It's a nice inbetween of Kate's lacy dress and neckline and Meghan's very structured dress.

I think he's struggling to hold it together - he seems very emotional and finding it hard to make eye contact. So sweet!

I was just thinking he looked a bit wobbly. He seems to have regained his composure now.

It’s based on a Russian koshnik tiara.

Russian tiaras are based on Mongolian traditional folk costumes.

I am not sure why I am crying! Pathetic!

Her dress is lovely! Tiara hideous. Love that she’s not wearing a veil - I’m not a fan of them.

A friend had a baby early this morning so a birth and a wedding has me in tears, sorry can't help it

She looks a little like Queen Victoria. In a totally good way.

I love the tiara and the dress. Whether no veil was intended or due to the weather I don't think she needs it. She looks stunning!

Obsessed with the dress - the neckline is very similar to what I had but now I’m wishing I’d gone with a full skirt.

That was a beautiful shot of the back of the dress. Jack looks nervous and Eugenie is literally glowing.

It always seems to me that Kate and Harry never chat

They do, but events like this are more 'formal'. Kate was having a good chinwag with Autumn Phillips on the church.
