Princess Eugenie's wedding: The sartorial highs and lows. Plus Fergie's back, bitches!

Following on from the general royal style thread, which is fast filling up, here's one just to discuss today's outfits.

My predictions

I’m really hoping Fergie will look fabulous - <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/Ex3BbE" target="_blank">teal or <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/oiAQaV" target="_blank">forest green look good on her.

After Kate's recent trip to the V&A, I’m hoping for something a bit more adventurous than a pale blue or yellow coat dress. Sophie in blue or pink Wickstead, Meghan in navy and/or boat-neck. She and Victoria Beckham may end up in similar outfits.

The Queen in fuchsia, neon green or yellow, Ladies Sarah and Helen in something elegant and understated, Karen Spencer in a dress that’s spectacular but so tight she can’t breathe.

And of course Princess Anne in a dress she's owned since 1986 that still fits her perfectly!

I'd always thought it was EuGENIE not EUgenie.

Only one ring then, Jack isn't going to wear one.

Thank you ken!!!! That is stunning. My favourite royal wedding dress ever. And a bit like that Emilia Wickstead dress worn by Lady Charlotte Wellesley at her wedding last year.

Given that Eugenie is a bit on the busty side, she must have amazing underwear, and the designer has done an amazing job of minimising it, she looks great

I was moaning about the cost, but really they are such a sweet couple, what a lovely sincere and touching wedding.

Panic over the ring- really tight fit!

He had sweaty hands and was trying to wipe them before picking up the ring, poor guy.

Oh you can see the vertical scar when she's kneeling. Huge credit to her for not trying to hide it. She's gone up in my estimation a lot.

Aw, she looks incredibly happy. She really is radiant.

Why have they seated the congregation facing inwards? Have they sold the pews off?

Apparently to fit more people in.

why is Andrew standing beside them? I thought the father of the bride sat down when he 'gave her away'- mine did.

She looks a little like Queen Victoria. In a totally good way. I thought that too.

I love her engagement ring

I really hate it when men don't wear a ring.

She looks gorgeous! They both look happy but he does look overwhelmed at times - can't blame him, I wouldn't like something quite that public myself either!

Eugenie's dress is reminiscent of Queen Victoria's

I don’t imagine Jack ever imagined his wedding would be on TV and with the Queen 6 feet away. Can’t blame him for being nervous.
