Btw we are not even remotely posh-, no commissioned officers in our ancestry , CPO's, 2nd Lieutenants or ratings all the way.. but there once was a ships surgeon in about the 1550's on a Tudor ship (Eeeek)

EachandEveryone · 05/10/2018 19:57

Ive just been to yoga I’m the only person in the room that can’t do those back stand things like we used to do as children. I get so annoyed I’ll havd to practice in my bedroom.

I’m so fed up I went to Iceland on the way home and bought a bag of frozen chips and a tub of diet ice cream in my defence it’s £6 in Waitrose and only £3.50 in Iceland.

dontcallmelen · 05/10/2018 19:58

Laska we say that too, have no idea why🤭 no naval ancestors apart from DF who was in the Irish merchant navy.

dontcallmelen · 05/10/2018 20:00

Aww Each I cant either & ice cream sounds much more fun.

Ellapaella · 05/10/2018 20:59

Just marking my place. Just got in from having tea out, quick shower and I'll be back with a glass of wine to catch up with all your chat.

miffy2 · 05/10/2018 21:10

Quiet evening for me here; have been to the gym, cooked gyoza for dinner and later on I am on collection duty for DS (13) and 5 (!) other boys from a disco. The joys.
I was back wearing my summery faded boyfriend jeans today along with a gorgeous long sleeved Tshirt from Cos. Very flattering due to curved hem and the cotton is superb. Might buy more colours.

Ellapaella · 05/10/2018 21:10

That yoga position looks positively torturous each - bordering on dangerous Grin
Far better to have gin and assume the 'stretched out on sofa' position.
Love everyone's pics.
Laska I'm in Newcastle tomorrow and can pop into Primark if you post a pic of the vest too you're after.
Cherries so glad the Seasalt mac is a hit - it's probably the best £120 I've ever spent to be honest. Light enough not to sweat but windproof and keeps you very warm with a cosy jumper underneath in colder weather.

Ellapaella · 05/10/2018 21:11

@miffy2 what is gyoza?

Ellapaella · 05/10/2018 21:13

Too looks nice miffy
Wish we had a Cos in Newcastle

miffy2 · 05/10/2018 21:31

Ella I meant to put in the post that gyoza are Japanese dumplings. We buy them in bulk in the asian market and it is a Friday favourite for us! They are divine (if you like that kind of food!)

The T is gorgeous - I have one Cos store in the city centre which is great but I don't get there often, and one smaller concession in a dept store near me. I have not been disappointed by anything I have bought from Cos, have to say.

Donteatthekidssweets · 05/10/2018 21:39

Does anybody have the Idalia maxi dress, I’m not sure what size to get? I have the marina dress (I think) from the summer in 8 and it fitted beautifully even though I’m a 10/12 really.

Ellapaella · 05/10/2018 21:46

What's the sizing like in Cos miffy?
May order one online. I have a couple of jumpers from Cos and found them to be quite small but they were from eBay so in truth may have been shrunk a little in the wash!

miffy2 · 05/10/2018 22:02

Ella, I wear a medium in the tshirts and I would be 12-14 with large boobs. They are quite a large fit; the T is not clingy at all. I would be Medium in most of their clothes - some would say they are shapeless LOL but I just love the quality. The only thing I could not get to ft me was one of their cocoon dresses, it was very tight on top and the cotton-silk material had no give in it at all. It would suit someone with a smaller chest. For reference it was this dress which I still lament:

www.cosstores.com/en_eur/women/womenswear/dresses/product.cotton-silk-cocoon-dress-black.0502728005.html

Right now I think they are offering free delivery which is good as when they charge for it it is not cheap. Check out the returns, not sure if that is free ATM as well.

ilovecherries · 05/10/2018 22:06

I wear medium in Cos as well - and if not for the boobs a small would be fine.
