Meghan and Harry have arrived in Sydney. She is wearing a navy and burgundy coat. It is open and I’m going to say I think she may well be pregnant.

PawneeParksDept · 14/10/2018 22:11

@QueenOfTheAndals

It was GHASTLY, they can only have been teenagers as I'm slightly older

I'm talking proper sobs not a few tears escaping

Ferguson acknowledged to Oprah that they needed HMs permission and "wanted to help Mummy"

It was deeply exploitative and a huge misstep from the Palace

It's not on YouTube as far as I can see

I think she's a fairly narcissistic parent and so's he

I'm not a Royalist by any means but I've always held it against her since, not because they are Princesses but I'd feel the same way about any celeb who behaved that way with their children

PawneeParksDept · 14/10/2018 22:13

God they were in their twenties?! I would have been too, but it felt much longer ago.

PawneeParksDept · 14/10/2018 22:16

You can find the good old DM hint in the copy

"The Duchess Of Sussex was glowing" they write 🤔

GreyPJs · 14/10/2018 23:27

@PawneeParksDept it was a documentary called Finding Sarah.

pallisers · 15/10/2018 00:14

Why does Harry wear such pale colours? If I were him (and my dh has his colouring so I've thought about this) I'd wear deep blues/greens/reds - not pale beige colours.

AhoyDelBoy · 15/10/2018 00:16

@PawneeParksDept
Peters wife didn't even realise he was Royal until her mother queried it
Wow really?

PawneeParksDept · 15/10/2018 00:20

@AhoyDelBoy

Yes they'd been on several dates and she'd told them Peter

At some point she said Phillips and her mother said "oh he has the same name as Princess Anne's son"

And the penny dropped Grin

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/1974039/Peter-Phillips-didnt-tell-his-wife-to-be-Autumn-Kelly-that-he-was-royalty.html

My version is slightly different but I'm sure I heard that version somewhere

AhoyDelBoy · 15/10/2018 00:25

Amazing! What a sweet story Smile

AhoyDelBoy · 15/10/2018 00:32

I don’t know much about the RF. What’s the story with Andrew? Pushing for a televised wedding, titles for his girls (I believe?) etc. Does he have a bee in his bonnet that he’s not ‘up there’ with Charles or something. If Jack and Eugenie have DC they won’t have titles will they?

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 15/10/2018 00:56

So they've arrived down under.

Meghan is carrying an amazing purple folder which she really suits!

SenecaFalls · 15/10/2018 01:30

There have been reports in the media that Andrew wants a more formal public role for Beatrice and Eugenie, but he has not pushed for titles for them; they were born princesses of the United Kingdom and HRHs by virture of Letters Patent signed by George V in 1917 which makes children and grandchildren of the monarch in the male line (it's sexist) princes and princesses. That's why the Dukes of Kent and Gloucester and Prince Michael of Kent and Princess Alexandra of Kent are princes/princesses and HRHs as well as Beatrice and Eugenie. Edward and Sophie's children, Louise and James, are actually also princess and prince, but their parents choose to have them styled as the children of an earl. Princess Anne's children aren't HRHs because it only passes in the male line (did I mention that it's sexist?)

Jack and Eugenie's children will not have titles. The only way that could happen is for the Queen to give Jack an earldom or higher, and that won't happen.

SenecaFalls · 15/10/2018 01:36

Also the Letters Patent of 1917 extend HRH to the eldest son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales; that's why Prince George is HRH. The Queen had to make a special provision for Charlotte and Louis to be HRH or else they would be Lady Charlotte and Lord Louis.

Quantumblue · 15/10/2018 01:48

Have to say the weather in Melbourne and Sydney is incredibly changeable at the moment - spring- so it will be a challenge for Meg to get each day right. She looked too warmly dressed at the airport this morning.

IdaBWells · 15/10/2018 03:21

Why us there such inexplicable hatred for Meghan in the comments of the Daily Mail? It seems so ridiculously OTT that it makes me wonder if it's Russian trolls. She has done absolutely nothing to generate hatred as far as I can tell.

brizzledrizzle · 15/10/2018 03:23

Because she's black and has dared to 'infiltrate' the establishment and because many mail readers are racist dicks

AhoyDelBoy · 15/10/2018 03:33

@SenecaFalls Thanks that’s really helpful Smile

Slapdasherie · 15/10/2018 04:07

Seems a bit try hard, to be honest. I would assume there is always background briefing done, without the need to parade it around so ostentatiously.

She seems like a nice person, and is certainly very beautiful, but I do think she could tone down believing all press about her being a breath of fresh air for the monarchy.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 15/10/2018 05:03

Well, Based on those Photos at Sydney airport, of course she’s pregnant. Why else would she be clutching those Burgundy Folders.
I have to say, I love her Black / Navy coat with the burgundy revers.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 15/10/2018 05:09

I’ve just started a thread here. The Sussexes Down under.

Paradyning · 15/10/2018 08:43

Pregnant!!!

Colabottle10 · 15/10/2018 08:46

Lovely news.

LittleBookofCalm · 15/10/2018 08:49
