I’m thinking that Fergie considered this as her job much as Kate, although a Duchess is called a “Princess of the United Kingdom”.
However Fergie was divorced a quarter of a century ago Her only access to the RF is through the girls.

A Duchess isn’t automatically a Princess, but if you marry a Prince, you are a Princess by marriage (like Kate, Meghan, and Fergie was)

But that’s not he reason she said it... she was rushing to get somewhere and had just been asked if she was Queen. She was trying to bring the conversation to a halt... it looks like so she didn’t miss Eugenie leaving.

I think the coat was just unfortunate. I don't think she's pregnant. Also they've only just got married after a fairly short courtship. And she's married into a very different lifestyle. I'd want to do some adjusting first.

I don't even know if it's that - a loose/oversized silhouette seems to be her favoured aesthetic in general. Some said her wedding dress didn't fit her but actually, couture is meant to be body-skimming not bodycon. If you look at Givenchy's previous muses like Audrey H and Jackie O, nothing they ever wore was too close-fitting.

Yes, Queen Mary had very taking ways! And she was never a beauty but nobody wore jewellery and tiaras like she did.

I heard it said QM was a kleptomaniac so yes did like to take a few things!

So many that Friday was the first time Eugenie's had been worn @Minimammoth!

@Minimammoth there was a Cartier exhibition here in Australia a few months back featuring some of the Queens tiaras (if I remember rightly the tiara the DoC wore to her wedding featured). I would have LOVED to have gone but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.

I looked at one of the exhibitions, but only 4 were illustrated. Not including the ones lent to Meg and Eug.

The Eugenie tiara has never been worn before. It was bequeathed to the Queen Mother I think 75 years ago.

Kate's was the Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara but Meghan's was just said to be Queen Mary's tiara, but I don't know which one as she had several! My favourite was the Meander(?) tiara Zara wore, as it was so unusual and striking.

@serenmoon The families met on a yachting holiday a few years ago and really hit it off. Eugenie has described Robbie as the brother she never had.
