Just looked at a few of the royal wedding dresses through the ages - what in the name of all that is holy did Sophie put her page boys in? I mean I know age boys always look awful but wow she took it to a whole new level of WTF.

Clionba · 09/10/2018 17:42

Kate looks good, but did you see how uneven the pavement was? Treacherous in those heels! Nice to see her with a handbag instead of the usual clutch though.
I agree about pageboys - they're usually dressed very weirdly imho!!

owlshooting · 09/10/2018 18:04

Absolutely love kate's outfit, the whole shebang is great. The woman is pure class, and I love the way that she and William interact and look at each other. They really love each other, clearly.

SenecaFalls · 09/10/2018 18:53

If memory serves, it was supposed to be a reference to the Order of the Garter, which is housed at Windsor. I also remember at a time there was some commentary about the fact that they didn't ask Bea and Eug to bridesmaids.

beanaseireann · 09/10/2018 20:08

Sophie's mother was Mary nee O'Sullivan - there has to be Irish blood there.
Sophie looks much nicer with longer hair.

Oh please make this link work

Sneak peak of Eugenie's wedding dress, complete with the nod to Tequila.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/10/2018 20:31

Love it @ChicagoLil!

@DontCallMeCharlotte I could see Eugenie in a Westwood like this, albeit with longer sleeves.

I hope she follows her mum's lead and sneaks a hint of colour into her bouquet (I'm still upset that Meghan didn't break the all white tradition).

user1457017537 · 09/10/2018 22:57

Those Westwood wedding dresses are gorgeous! I don’t think Eugenie will go for Westwood though. I thing Eug has had work done, her jawline looks different and more defined and I don’t think it’s down to weight loss.

Jackietheduck · 09/10/2018 22:59

Eugenie and Jack have released a selection of pre wedding photos. Alas I have no idea how to link them so I’m hoping somebody more technical than me will do it!

Jackietheduck · 09/10/2018 23:01

Oh those VW dresses are DEVINE. I’d love if she just went for it. She has the confidence and looks for such a dress. Sadly I think she will go —blood— princess style.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/10/2018 03:53

I read some years ago the Eugenie has had some work to correct her jaw.

Kate looked great. The colour is very her. Glad to see Emilia Wickstead is back in favour

Sophie's pink coat in.Tallin was matronly and a weird shade of pink. However the navy mouret cost with the sleeves was fab

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/10/2018 03:57

Fergie had an affair with another Texan, Steve Wyatt when she was pregnant with Eugenie. It came to light when a cleaner found a stack of photos on top of a wardrobe in an appartment Wyatt had been renting.
Fergie broke the upper classes golden rule of having an affair; be discreet.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/10/2018 04:04

Fergie Steve Wyatt

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/10/2018 04:10

Royal resemblances

HM and Queen Mary are the spit of each other. That German.blood has flowed down the generations to Charlotte.

mathanxiety · 10/10/2018 04:57

Did anyone else besides me sense a complete lack of chemistry or warmth between Edward and Sophie on the one hand and the Estonian presidential couple on the other? The photos seem to have captured scenes of much social awkwardness.

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/10/2018 04:58

@CurlyWurlyTwirly wasn't Wyatt the toe sucker?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/10/2018 06:24

No that was John Bryan the bald financial adviser. The girl got around. (Minor anecdote, in 1986 I was on a plane back to the UK and got chatting to a city type and we were talking about the upcoming royal wedding. Anyway this guy used to ski at Verbier. Remember Fergie used to live there with Paddy McNally the racing car something or other. Anyway guy on plane said Fergie used to be "passed round like a bag of sweets".

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/10/2018 06:31

Ew, what a horrible thing for him to say about her. What she got up to before her marriage is neither here nor there!

Rehash of the 1990s scandals starting with.Johnny Bryan.and Fergie.

Richard Kay used to be Diana's pet journalist. She used to meet him and feed him stories all.the time. My mum used to get the daily mail and Diana was on the front page pretty much every day.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/10/2018 06:36

Changing the subject a bit. Did Eugenie have a hen party ? I'm sure it would have been somewhere abroad. Her friends are not exactly short of the bus fare.

user1457017537 · 10/10/2018 06:42

Actually I think Beatrice and Eugenia may be the dark horses of the Royal family. They are lovely looking girls and I think they will have a much higher profile after this wedding.

ChicagoLil · 10/10/2018 06:46

I suspect there is more to the Wessex's marriage than we see at face value

ChicagoLil · 10/10/2018 06:47

Anyway, I woke up stressing about the length of Eugenie's train. If it really is going to rain on Friday then it will be muddy before she even gets into the chapel.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/10/2018 06:55

I think Bea & Euj's profiles are very dependent on Charles. I think he sent out a very clear message with the balcony line up at the Jubilee. (HM, Charles & Camilla; William and Kate; Harry (and now Meghan)
