In Kate news, she and William are attending a mental health summit on Tuesday and then she's flying solo at the V&A on Wednesday to open their new photography centre.

The London weather forecast for this week looks promising so I'm guessing a tailored dress and no coat? Or maybe she'll outfox us all and wear culottes! I've not seen her in trousers except for when she wears her trusted skinny jeans to sporty/outdoors engagements.

@queenOfTheAndals - don't get me started on the trousers thing. I'm a big fan of Kate's but her refusal to push the boundary on acceptable woman's wear in any way has driven me crazy. I nearly leapt out of my seat in excitement at that first engagement with Meghan wearing trousers.

I mean, she has a fab body, and great legs, so I see why she likes to wear dresses and skirts. And I suspect it gives her a distinct shift from private to work in her own head - like a uniform - but I wish she'd turn up wearing smart trousers now and again.

I've never even seen any off duty photos of her in trousers apart from jeans. But she could be one of those people who just don't suit trousers - I'm one myself. I'm 5'9 and a size 12 but can never find trousers that look good on me. I paid £25 to have a 4yo pair of jeans repaired because that's how difficult it is to find ones that suit me!

I have wondered that - jeans (always skinny) or dresses and skirts as her standard style, even off duty?

She is very aware that she has great legs. They're a feature she doesn't want to cover. I'd just be happy if she wore a blouse and skirt. Or ditched the coat dresses. Alexander McQueen must be spinning in his grave to have that sort of garment made in his name.

I really hope she's not in a coat dress. It so boring and old.

There was a post on insta after Meghan's wedding and they thought she was wearing a coat dress she'd worn previously but they worked out from minute details that it was a different one. They differences were tiny. Imagine getting two outfits practically the same made!

She has quite a few of those in various pastel shades! That was the primrose yellow one.

Maybe it was the same outfit but they tweaked it? You know added an embelishment, different buttons, etc.

The thing is, it's not really a royal wedding. We didn't have this fuss over Zara and Mike and in this modern age, all the Queen's grandchildren are just the grandchildren (apart from William and Harry TBH, but the rest are equal. We won't have this fuss over Louise and Viscount SeVERN! will we?

Poor Meghan having family members who are so intent on embarrassing her. It is bad that it makes the Royals look normal.

I think the York sisters have been in the public eye (due to their parents - particularly their controversial mother, their fashion sense, their nearness in ages to William and Harry and perhaps just due to growing up in the era when the RF was seen differently to how it is seen today).

Where Zara shied from the public eye, they want it.

If James and Louise were a similar age to William and Harry (and frequently wore downright strange attire in public) we'd all be a lot more interested in them.

I think this wedding is where the RF jumps the shark. To be insisting on a carriage ride and celebrities galore while the general public is openly questioning the point of Andrew and his family and the whole country heads off a cliff is going to damage the brand.

I am sure Eug will look gorgeous and I hope she has a lovely day but she could have got a lot of Brownie points with a smaller more private event.

I agree with you, Quantumblue- the carriage ride, the celebrities, more guests than Harry and Meghan, 2 day party etc. They really need to be careful. The Yorks are not as respected or highly regarded as others in the family.

Just catching up on all the posts from yesterday. Letizia's dress is very seductive with the off the shoulder. I've just realised, Although it would suit Meghan (minus the giant rosette ) Meghan rarely shows much skin.

I get that sense too, Quantumblue. I think the whole spectacle will have a tint of cringe and desperation to it.
