Can anyone here suggest a good dupe (or something with a similar vibe) to JM wood sage and seasalt? I just received the superdrug one in the post but sadly I hated it - smells like loo cleaner to me Sad

cantbelievemyeyes · 27/09/2018 19:58

Thanks to Mrsr8 for the heads up on the PP dupe of By The Fireplace- arrived home to it today and it is gorgeous! My first PP purchase and very glad I chanced the 30ml bottle.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 27/09/2018 20:04

Wendy- Perfume Parlour do a dupe of it, IMO it's nicer, and longer lasting than the real thing.

Koko- absolutely not! We love a cheapie! (the H&M perfumes are fab, tried most of them this summer and loved them, and the Superdrug Bloom range is fantastic for a fiver!)

WendyTheWestie · 27/09/2018 20:13

Thanks! I've just ordered it Smile. I love the simplicity of the JM scents but they are crazily expensive!

SOTD was 19 - armour for a hospital appointment. I now have a diagnosis on my teeth. Essentially, my teeth are fine, but my nerves are wrecked and misfiring, causing pain. I can take tablets yo blunt the nerves, but the side effects sound grim, so the general advice is to reduce stress. Ha, ha, ha. Back in December to review.

Now showered and in pyjamas and MMM Fireplace.

My Instagram is still hacked. 😕

Lotsofpots · 27/09/2018 20:38

Blah I have a sample of the Floral Street espresso - you've enticed me to make that tomorrow's SOTD.

Had a haircut this afternoon and they used the Davines range. God I love the smell of their products. Don't need a SOTE when I smell this good.

Barbayagar · 27/09/2018 21:39

H&M formantera (fig) is amazing for the Autumn, love it and it does seem to last.

MrsLucas · 27/09/2018 21:53

SotD was Suki Essence - reasonably satisfying labdanum fix for impoverished Tauer fans. Look out for the yellow bottles in TK Maxx.

SotE #1 - The Lion Cupboard, big aromatic tobacco and herb number. #2 - 4160Ts Parallel, mandarin, caraway and frankincense. Fennel - always think you'd like this.

Ah MrsL, you know me well - I have also always thought I'd like Parallel but can never get my sticky paws on it!

Talking of 4160s though, for those who like the sound of less-obviously lavendery lavender scents, Another Kiss By the Fireside is a good bet. To me it conjures up sitting in a big farmhouse kitchen, warming by the fire, biscuits baking and bunches of dried lavender around the place.

Off to Luxembourg tomorrow for the weekend - never been. Any good for perfume??

OutComeTheWolves · 27/09/2018 22:49

Barbayagar I'm really enjoying Formentera too. I'm really impressed with the H&M range. I do like anext but the H&M ones are just a bit more interesting imo.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 28/09/2018 06:43

DD and I spent about an hour in H&M Westgate in August, and I was amazed at how lovely most of the perfumes are. We got sniff-fatigue before we tried them all, but apart from swerving my hell-ingredient oud, there were no bombers in there. And no PMs either!

Zara on the other hand...tried 2, both firmly PMs, and ran for the door. Have never tried Next ones.

Just remembered something else I bought after seeing it recommended on a blog Boots Lemon Cologne. Mahoosive bottle for iirc £4.99. It's a simple eau de cologne, but very fresh and zingy. They do a rose and a lavender as well. Never going to win any prizes, but hey a fiver for about half a litre of lemony loveliness!

OutComeTheWolves · 28/09/2018 07:19

Books that boots lemon cologne sounds right up my street. I might give that a try.

I've only ever bought one Zara perfume - the cherry one. It was very disappointing and I ended up putting it on eBay because it barely lasted twenty minutes. Weirdly I got about £15 which is more than I spent on it in the first place. I've heard good things about the men's range though.

SOTD is Parfumerie Generale Iris Oriental. Iris and incense, what's not like?

UnnecessaryFennel · 28/09/2018 10:10

*to like Hmm

Hallo lovely perfumistas. My favourite smell is keihls original musk. I also love my diptyque feu de Bois candle (woodsmoke), patchouli but not too much, pears soap and lavender!

Hate vanilla and Berry fruit

I love perfume and want to treat myself to something that ticks my boxes! Any ideas?

Miladymilord · 28/09/2018 10:42

Had a haircut this afternoon and they used the Davines range isn't it gorgeous smelling??!

I am going to order some samples from that amazing website! Ealing Green also sounds lovely

Miladymilord · 28/09/2018 11:02

Mmm by the fireplace (get the PP dupe!)

What's a pp dupe??

Miladymilord · 28/09/2018 11:03

I basically adore the smell of the pears liquid hand wash. I bury my nose in my hands after I've washed them!!
