never I like it with chunky shoes / boots as you can see.! my Marinas have all washed and worn beautifully, no hem problems and no snags and all are at least 2 years old.. But quality does seem to be down a bit these days .

cherries I am so out of love with ebay selling for those very reasons , people just seem to expect too much !

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 10:08

never can we see you in both skirts? I’m not sure how the Black is this year, in previous seasons it seemed to be very swishy, lots more fabric than the snake print. Unfortunately for my height the xtra fabric swamped me and the reason I was pleasantly surprised with the snake print but on taller girls the black is fabulous and more of a long term classic which is possibly the reason laska and cherries much prefer the black version

Laska5772 · 04/10/2018 10:09

Id usually wear opagues under this skirt as well, but just shoved it all on this morning for my ' Senior Model photoshoot' (thought I could audition for the Guardian 'all ages' feature, if you have seen that ! not really Grin )

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 10:12

Sorry I got distracted (as you do) with work calls and posted above which was on my phone over an hour ago without refreshing the thread Grin now see you’ve all posted pics so will read...sorry! I’m behind!

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 10:19

Right I’ve caught up now...
laska you’ve got quite a collection of Marina skirts now Grin and they all look great on you
never soo difficult to decide 🤔 Black or Snake? go with your gut.
Both, on you the skirts look good with relatively long jumpers, due to being taller, I’ll have to style mine half tucked in or with shorter jumpers (just below the waistband) as I thought it looked better on my frame...but will try with a bulkier linger jumper just to make sure it’s not just “in my head” as it would be nice to style it that way

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 10:23

laska I googled the Guardian all ages feature Grin

EachandEveryone · 04/10/2018 10:24

I’m still in my Summer clothes so havent been tempted to buy anything at all. Weather is gorgeous.

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 10:26

Wouldn’t have thought of pairing leopard print skirt with checked blazer! Shock

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 10:28

each that was me in September! Enjoy! Send us a Hush holiday postcard x

Laska5772 · 04/10/2018 10:33

I love 'all ages' great for ideas , and they also very often use 'different' shape/height/size models to what you usually see.

Soy I really had you down as Guardian reader!! I am. Unapologetically Grin

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 10:44

I read the Guardian online laska ad hoc articles but don’t buy newspapers anymore as Brexit winds me up no end...Angry

Laska5772 · 04/10/2018 10:50

... I just dont bother to read any articles on it any more soy.. We are just all going to hell in a handcart .. and Brexit is the reason I have given up Radio 4 .. Radio 6 all the way fro me now .. (when we bought a new car I insisted on DAB so I could listen !)

dontcallmelen · 04/10/2018 10:53

Laska really suit all the marina skirts & I love all the jumpers the joules one is fab colour, am also an ol lefty, off to read the guardian article
Never I’m going to be no help as I like both skirts, maybe as Soy said go with your instinct, yy nights out I have a wardrobe of ‘going out’ stuff & never go anywhere.

Laska5772 · 04/10/2018 10:59

never Keep both ..as you can see one can never have enough Marina skirts!

Len thanks comrade! .. I just love all of my new jumpers !! ..

cherries have you decided about your Jl one?

Laska5772 · 04/10/2018 11:03

here is a link to previous All ages features Some great , some downright hilarious! ,

I like Jess Cartner Morley for ideas also

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 11:05

melen in Spanish we have a saying “Dios los cría y ellos se juntan” which is similar to the idiom “birds of a feather flock together” Wink
laska on Radio 4 it’s my companion on homeworking days but hearing May on the Today programme on EU immigration a couple of mornings ago and me swearing at the radio Grin maybe it would be wise to drop it too 👌

ilovecherries · 04/10/2018 11:08

No, laska. I still have: one orange silk shirt, one ochre cashmere jumper and those toast-esque culottes to decide on. I took the burgundy skirt back as I noticed it had a nasty catch along the back, and they didn’t have another 12 in store, so that decision was sort of made for me. I’m stalking ebay for a burgundy marina though, as I really like the colour, but overall prefer the unstructured pleats of the Hush one.

dontcallmelen · 04/10/2018 11:14

Soy I think you are right, funny how even unconscious things can bring people together, yy that interview I nearly threw the radio out of the back door, made me so cross am a sick of the beeb at the moment the reporting has been so flawed & skewed.

ilovecherries · 04/10/2018 11:18

Off to a meeting soon, but before I step outside in these, do you think they are ok? Not eye-bleeding lo fugly? It’s a departure for me, but cheap as chips NL and I can get my orthotic in them. Wearing them with a black jersey A line skirt and a burgundy chenille jumper from Primari.

Husheeta's count down to Christmas.. AW18 cont..
dontcallmelen · 04/10/2018 11:20

Oooh Cherries I really like them bet they look good with burgundy top I love a bit of patent, really lifts an outfit.

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 11:24

So...back to fashion. Next week I’m in big exhibition in Madrid meeting suppliers and week after in Paris for internal meetings. I don’t want to spend a lot of £ and think I’ll go for the Boden ponte blazer with Hampshire 7/8 trousers in navy blue which I can mix and match with my silk shirts and countless other things.
I see there’s a 20% discount but if anyone has a higher discount code please can you reply? Thanks!

SoyYo · 04/10/2018 11:26

Great brogues cherries can’t believe they’re NL!

ilovecherries · 04/10/2018 11:32

Yup, 22.99. I am SO chuffed with myself that I can tentatively wear proper shoes again, even if they have to be brogues. I think 20% is the biggest Boden code around at the minute.

Theonlyoneiknow · 04/10/2018 12:12

Am loving all the pics and purchases Ladies! My mumsnet has gone quiet recently as I have been having a life admin crisis ie. I can't keep up with kids/work/and all the crap I have to do to keep up! A colleague was asking about my pension and I nearly burst into tears because yes I do have one but no, I have no idea how it is performing. He was shocked I hadn't prioritised it and I tried to explain I simply don't have time.!

Sorry for that wee burst out! I am being enabled by all the lovely marina posts. I love my white/black one. Is there a 10% off code or have I missed the boat? Still gutted my entire brand alley order went back!
