Had enough of seeing something repeated ad nauseam?

Want to offload when having tried to find good quality, stylish clothes you are instead met with a sea of shit? Epically garish, cheaply manufactured (without the corresponding price tag) and downright tired apply here.

I may be alone in having this need, but may I start by offering..... the rainbow jumper. How to take a perfectly useable piece of cloth and curse it to landfill in nanoseconds.....

I’m not overweight but look like an upside triangle from the back - my legs are the only thing I like about my figure and they look fucking amazing in skinny jeans, so I’m wearing them until the undertaker has to prise them off my dead body 😂

Clionba · 19/09/2018 20:46

Me too. I will always wear skinny jeans. Those awful jeans upthread - don't even look good on a model.

Dowser · 19/09/2018 21:34

This thread has had me in hysterics
I just think designers, of you can call them that , have no original ideas of their own
Someone said it’s like the emperors new clothes..I agree

Dowser · 19/09/2018 21:36

I mean this is just so cool
Form an orderly queue

Only & £99! Those trousers - who on earth would look good in them?

Dowser · 19/09/2018 22:30

Hush!!!
😂

littlebillie · 19/09/2018 22:42

Downer I'm getting old

NinjaLeprechaun · 20/09/2018 08:30

"I'm stunned that in 2018 floral patterns are still so common on young women's clothing."
Florals appear to be the popular thing right now. If you look at high end fashion, men are wearing them as well. Even a lot of the alternative/goth styles and brands that I like are covered in frickin' flowers.

Bluelady · 20/09/2018 08:33

That Hush jumper looks even worse in the flesh.

Dowser · 20/09/2018 10:11

I am old little billie, but I wouldn’t be seen dead in that jumper, or unicorns, rainbows, stars or on my nightwear either and I do have questionable fashion sense
Well if a lot of the baggy, saggy washed out , linen look dresses that you get In poetry, hush and cos are high fashion...I’ll just run straight into room 101 now.

Dowser · 20/09/2018 10:17

I mean noone I know dresses like this

My husband would say to me..are you painting again love, I thought we were going out.

I found a pair of jeans with flowers embroidered on them in the womens section in a charity shop. The label was Boohoo mens and they were clearly cut for a man. The volunteer must have just thought "nah".

StorminaBcup · 20/09/2018 15:44

Nope.

I wear t-shirts with things on them, band t-shirts (but only if I've seen said band live,) various Pusheen and Harry Potter themed t-shirts, one I got from TeeTurtle, and I have Pusheen and Harry Potter pajamas/nighties and socks. (I'm 30 years old. Blush ) I also love flared sleeves and high waisted skirts as they flatten my tummy.
However, I agree with 90% of this thread. I haven't owned a pair of jeans in years because I want bootcut jeans to come back (I'm a pear shape with chunky legs, skinny jeans do not work for me,) and ripped ones that you buy in shops are ridiculous. Why can't people make their own?!

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 20/09/2018 19:54

Hush outfits often look like the after effect of a decidedly humdrum rummage of the £1 rail of a charity shop.

The evidence 😉

The red blouse perfectly encapsulates the essence of Brenda at Bingo with a Bon Marche sale rail finest.....

Just WHERE would anyone wear the first outfit? Work? They’ll be pissing themselves in accounts if you rock up in this......

I can't decide which leggings are worse. Plastic coated or nylon leopardskin.

toffee1000 · 20/09/2018 22:09

The jumper isn’t too bad. The skirt looks like a sarong though. And why is the jumper tucked in??

PurpleNailVarnish · 21/09/2018 00:05

I'm looking for dresses, I bring you these beauties from iris.

The perfectly nice shirt dress but wait... is it patterned with sperm? Maybe a sperm celebration shirt dress?

This is a personal gripe but as a short person the current trend for massive tent dresses is unfortunate.

The black one doesn't look too bad, but it would look better with nicer shoes than those fugly slider things! Say a nice pair of shiny black high heels? Much better! That clutch is ugly too, needs something else.
