@ilovecherries sorry my red top is a charity Shop find - phase eight.
I love charity shops - I'm my teens and early 20's I had a very cool, stylish but poor cousin who was at art college in Brighton - I used to go and stay with her and we would scour the charity shops and pick up all manner of bargains, she had a great eye and sense of style.
One of my favourite pass times is hunting in charity shops! I have a few places in Newcastle where I know I will always get great labels and good finds.

I’m going to try not to go into hush on Oxford Street

ilovecherries · 05/09/2018 13:04

Each, I think the leopard is just a touch big. Do they have a smaller size to try? The spotty is nice and it suits you.

EachandEveryone · 05/09/2018 13:15

I do believe I’ve lost abit of weight or maybe it’s just early for me! I will try the leopard print if I get time later. It’s funny how it’s everywhere yet I’ve always worn it. Trends are funny things. I just need a mustard clutch then I’m going home to start tanning. I’ve got a £20 M and S voucher so I will look at their make up.

ilovecherries · 05/09/2018 13:20

Ok, unpacked the skirt to have another look. Neither top or the trainers ideal, and no tights at home, but wanted to see how it would look with a shorter top. Ruffles now styled to the side Grin. What other colours would you try with this skirt. I’m not convinced about black, too much washes me out.

Actually, that tee shirt makes me look all boob.

Laska5772 · 05/09/2018 13:27

Oh that skirt is so much better with ruffles at the side! Love it with the silver trainers

Nearlyadoctor · 05/09/2018 13:37

Charcoal or light grey @cherries ?

Ellapaella · 05/09/2018 13:57

The pink works cherries. The burgundy raglan that Laska has would work. I've got black Bardot style jumper that has silver sparkles within the fabric that looks nice too.

Ellapaella · 05/09/2018 14:01

You know cherries you're definitely right about the zip being on the side, I think I made an error presuming it was at the back - but I agree that actually the ruffles do look better on the side and it gives the skirt an asymmetrical look which I like.

ilovecherries · 05/09/2018 14:08

Yes, it says in the description that it’s a side zip. And when the zip is on the side, the label is on the back. But I think it’s a happy mistake - I think it’s much nicer with the ruffles at the side, and it reminds me to think outside the booody box sometimes. I would never have even considered moving them round before

I love the zebra skirt. Especially with the red. I’ve decided on a no spend September. I bought a ton of stuff recently and I want to see it as part of my wardrobe and work out gaps before buying more. I’ve already identified that I want some more long line vests for layering. I’d rather like a fine puffa jacket in black, not glam but I’m from the arctic north. I’ve got a few things on eBay and a dozen more to add tonight. I’ve decided that, assuming it’s seasonally appropriate I am going to pick something I don’t wear from my wardrobe everyday. If I can make it feel good it stays. If I can’t it’s gone. One epic find is this wee skirt which has stopped me splurging on meg!

Today I’m rocking the tiger. Had to have physio on my dodgy hip and harems are the perfect outfit for it!

I like Hush skirts but can’t settle on a size when they are zipped ones fitted at waist.

Ordered the 10 in the plaid Geena and it fit but was a bit snug (promptly returned as the asymmetric hem hung weird and the cotton-polymix Made fabric v easy to creasing)

Ordered the 12 in the Evie midi skirt - nice fabric and really pretty pattern but hung a bit low in the waist. Love the skirt though, highly recommend!

Anyone else have problems with fit for Hush skirts?

Ellapaella · 05/09/2018 17:05

Love that skirt Porpoise - great find, where’s it from?
Earrings arrived - I love these, not an earring person usually but these are gorgeous so thanks to a Never for the inspiration

From my wardrobe... bought in oasis a few years ago!

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 05/09/2018 17:27

Love the earrings Ella!

Ellapaella · 05/09/2018 17:43

Last picture I promise but my wide leg cropped jeans also arrived and I love them! In a strange way. They are truly ugly but I like ‘em.

Lovely earrings. I can never decide when I’m bald if I should have small earrings do they don’t swamp me or huge statement ones. These look as if they really suit you - are they heavy?

Great skirt obtuse.

Lollies, I seem to be pretty much a 12 across all Hush skirts. The zebra one has a zipper and is a 12, as are my Santana, leopard maxi and marina (all elasticated). Having said that though, I can barely fight my way into the ruched skirt in an L, and I looked like a sausage in it. Not a good look. Plus I tried on the floral meg in JL yesterday, and tried a 14 as they didn’t have a 12, and it fastened but it was tight, despite zebra meg being absolutely fine in a 12. So yep - I guess they ARE erratic, on reflection Grin

ilovecherries · 05/09/2018 17:49

The jeans suit you. Flirted all summer with a pair of Boden ones, but sent them back about three times, because everyone (not here) seemed so scathing. Was worried I was making a fashion faux pax! You look great in them.

taybert · 05/09/2018 17:49

I’m quite bored of waiting for my order. Ordered Friday and still not here. Boo!

Clickncollect · 05/09/2018 18:02

Hi @Ellapaella and other ladies who have the green wide fit top. Does it comfortably cover your bum and therefore suitable to wear with leggings? It looks like it does in your picture and I’m 5 foot 6 so would hope does. Thanks!

Ellapaella · 05/09/2018 18:06

@Clickncollect yes it's definitely long enough to cover your bum, I'm 5'7 and it hangs longer at the back and covers my whole bum.
@ilovecherries I have approval from my teenage ds for the jeans but he says I must only wear them with summery shoes (he speaks with great authority on this lol!).
The earrings aren't heavy at all - I think you would look great in them.

Laska5772 · 05/09/2018 18:22

Where are those jeans from ella?

There a few of those oasis skirts going on ebay if anyone interested

Ellapaella · 05/09/2018 18:24

These are from La Redoute Laska. I am also admiring these ones from Mango https://shop.mango.com/gb/women/jeans-relaxed/girlfriend-claudia-jeans_33000951.html?c=TM&n=1&s=prendas.familia;28.jeans28;Relaxed
